The bare minimum
These gloves look good, but after putting them through over a thousand hours of riding, my conclusion is that protection is not sufficient. They're clearly designed for style and comfort, but offer close to nothing in the safety department.

I enjoyed wearing them, but wouldn't buy again since I doubt they would offer any significant protection (other than scratches) when I go down.

I say drop an extra $20 and buy something with real safety features.

Fantastic Summer Dual Sport Glove
It is a bit light on protection, but a great hot weather, slow speed glove.

Great bang for the buck
Amazing gloves, great air flow and comfort was rather great.... only problem is that they tore at the seams after only one and a half riding seasons... shame otherwise a great pair of gloves ...

Good basic stuff for the money
Not a ton of protection but not a ton of money. Still, the build and quality is good. I've had XXL in the old Anthems and these XXLs fit exactly the same. I got the blue and have experienced no dye on my hands. Rode in 90 degree heat in Texas. So if you want a little protection and as thin as practical, these are great for that mission. For something that can be called a "motorcycle glove", they flow as much air as you can get.
Revzilla service was excellent as usual.

So far, so good
I just received my gloves and decided to test them out on my ride out to Motoblot. Air flow is great, the fit is true, and I like the style of the glove. I can’t tell you how durable they’ll be just yet, but I’ll update this at the end of the season.

Impact Tested
I originally picked these 5yrs ago because the way they fit on my palm and down against my fingers. I have small hands but they seemed to have a little give that allowed me to have adequate grip as well as functionality. Other gloves left space between my fingers and the glove at about half an inch making them uncomfortable and restrictive.
The air flow and comfort of these was my main reason for constant wear!

Post crash neither of my gloves were torn but Emma did cut them off and after 5yrs the velcro at wrist still gripped without reading down from wear and tear of use. My nails didn’t puncture the gloves and none of my fingers broke despite direct impact at my handlebars.

I’m actually excited these are still made and will be buying another pair now that I’m up and at em again!

Cheap
One glove is a little smaller than the other, and the fingers are too short for the size. The thumb on one was shaped wonky so it's hard to operate my handlebar buttons.

You get what you pay for
I bought these gloves last ride season and they are for warm whether riding only. They let a lot of air pass through. They fit true except the finger are longer than a normal glove. They are a very comfortable glove for sure BUT the sewing that was done along the inner cuff (where the leather joins the cuff) wasn't done strong enough, it came apart on my first pair of Iicon gloves and also on my second pair. If they were to double stitch it along the cuff it would hold up perfectly and I would have given a 5 star.

Only one finger works
I ordered these for quick song changes and GPS prompts on my iphone while riding. I had a pervious version without smart touch and loved them. They are comfortable and offer adequate protection but only one finger on both gloves has a functioning smart touch finger tip. Would have been 5 starts otherwise!

GUSTAVO D on Sep 26, 2017
In measuring my hand using the sizing chart from between the index finger to the widest part of my palm on my dominant hand, on the surface not including any for curvature of the palm, I got 4.75 ". Would you recommend based on the fit of these particular gloves that I select the 2XL or 3XL to allow for any swelling or extra room for extra thick hands. I don't want them to be overly tight to the point they are a pain to peel off of me when I remove them, but I don't want them to be so loose I lose them someday sliding down the pavement. What do you say guys?
Ricky J on Jul 7, 2016
Aren't these called the Twenty Niners because they're supposed to cost $29? Even the review video says $29. What's up with the $35 price tag?
A shopper on May 30, 2013
BEST ANSWER: They used to only cost $29, but Icon raised the price a year or two ago due to an increase in manufacturing costs. My local shops as well as every online store I've seen sells them for $35 now.
Just wondering if these gloves tend to stretch out? - I'm in between large and XL so this might help me mark the call.
A shopper on Aug 12, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they stretch. You will need to break them in a bit when you first get them. They don't stretch so much that you need a size smaller. They are a nice pair of gloves...I use them daily. Hope that helps!
How much protection for city/highway driving? Thanks
Tom j on Dec 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They are a cut above the average 30.00 glove and if they save your palms in just one drop they are worth it.
is it $35 for the pair or for one??
A C on Feb 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The pair.
I loved this gloves, but is this waterproof? If it is I would really love to buy it!
Rama K on Dec 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No unfortunately it's not waterproof... Although it's a great glove, very stretchable and good fit.. I would definitely recommend this
Are these gloves compatible with touch screen phones or id doesn't work?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They won't work with a capacitive screen (like an iPhone or most of the galaxies) but they should work with a resistive screen. (Screens that require a little bit of pressure)
does it have touch screen technology?
Luís M on Jul 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. If your phone is sensitive enough, it may register, but I know with Samsung or LG products it's a no - go.
Does it have touch finger technology?
A shopper on Jul 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It does not but i have found that i can use my i phone with the gloves on
Just got my 29er gloves in and they look awesome! One problem though, but wanting to make sure it is actually a "problem". When I put these gloves on my knuckles slide forward in front of the gelatin pad inside the glove, and end up right on the seam between the glove and that pad (on the inside). My question is if I were to return these for one size smaller, would my knuckles be right below where the pad is? Are my knuckles supposed to be centered on this pad inside? I bought an XL, but feeling that seem on my knuckles is a bit uncomfortable. Do not want to replace with a Large and they end up being too small for my hands though. The XL fits almost perfect, except for where my knuckles sit with a closed palm. Please help, thanks!!
Dustin A on Apr 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: If they fit perfect, return them. You want to purchase a pair that is slightly tighter than you like. After 15-20 days of sweating in them they will stretch and then you will have the perfect pair. The ones you have now will stretch and become even more uncomfortable.
