Akrapovic Exhaust Headers Kawasaki Z1000 / Ninja 1000

Akrapovic Header Pipes are a great addition to your Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust. Contributing to even greater exhaust flow and back pressure while increasing horse and torque. A special process known as hydroforming is used in the manufacturing of the exhaust tubes. This process injects pressurized water into each tube to form the ideal shape for optimum exhaust flow without causing creases or compromising the strength of the steel.

It’s not just about peak power - Akrapovic exhaust systems deliver increased performance throughout the entire RPM range. Increases in power and torque result in a much smoother power delivery and ride. All Akrapovic exhaust system measurements are formulated on in-house computer-controlled flow benches.

  • No fuel remapping required, but for optimal performance RevZilla recommends use of a fuel controller
  • A combination of beautiful machine and hand welds
  • Air-tight quality controlled production means your exhaust will be perfect
  • High-quality, silicon-shielded stainless steel exhaust springs

This product enhances performance significantly....
Easy install...installed on stock 2012 Kawasaki z1000sx....installed with Yoshi R-77 cans, PCFC, Flashed ECU, K&N filter, modified airbox, etc. Unit fits perfectly all items with no issues. Very significant increase in both horsepower (20+) and torque. Turned a hard to ride bike (bad on-off throttle) delay into a smooth, hard hitting rocket.
The only recommendation would be a bracket at the underbelly where the stock pipe mounts to the bike. There is non on this unit.

I have the Vance and Hines urban brawler exhaust tips and I want to know if this full length header goes all the way to the back to the same position of the original (stock) pipes? I want to know if the Vance and Hines will still fit in the same position without any modification

BEST ANSWER: I have this exhaust on my z1000sx. Yes it does. U will save weight and gain hp with this system. You will need a power commander FC as well or you will not see the power gain with the stock map. If you have not added an aftermarket air cleaner i highly suggest as well. Get an ecu flash/mod for full potential in this bike
I see Lentz G says the 2013 pipes fits a 2014 bike, does it work the other way around too? 2014 pipe on a 2010-2013 bike? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: No reason to worry now. Akrapovic has a part number for the 2014 bikes. I doubt if there is any difference in fit since I have a 2014 bike and the 2013 headers fit perfectly but I would just order the number for you bike. You can get that number on the Akrapovic web site and I'm sure RevZilla can do the order for you if you call.
Hi iwant to know if the akrapovic header E-K10R3 is made of titanium? Also if there is a akrapovic evolution line full system 4:2:1 for the kawi z-1000 2011
A shopper on Jan 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The headers are made of stainless steel. Akrapovic does offer a very light set of Ti slip ons. Go to Akrapovic_com and see their full line up. They do not offer Ti headers. They offer both 4-2-1 and 4-2-1-2 in stainless.
Does this header pipe have O2 Sensor bungs for an OEM O2 sensor, or a bung which could be used for a DynoJet Autotune unit?
daniel s on Nov 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does. Installed this on my 2012 z a year ago.
I have a 2011 ninja 1000 with Two Bros slip on exhaust. Will this header pipe fit with those slip ons?
A shopper on Sep 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I would say yes, as there is room for expansion
is this item available in titanium?

I've just ordered the Akrapovic stainless steel header for my 2012 Kawasaki Z1000.
It's in Norway, so it got the O2 sensor in the original exhaustheader.
So I wonder if there is a hole for the O2 sensor in the Akrapovic header too, even though I ordered it from USA?
