good coverage, adjusters don't stay
Really the only thing negative is that the elastic adjusters don't hold. They seem like good sliders that would work with webbing but they just don't grab tight enough to the flexible elastic, so every stretch they wiggle looser, most noticeable on the ones over the ribs between back and chest panels, they are both always full loose when I check it during riding. I fixed it by tying strips of innertube next to the slider to block them in place.

Everything else is great:

Best coverage around the waist/hips of anything out there. padding is soft and flexible but hard shells have held up to a few falls without any issues. I wear a jersey over top and overall is pretty breathable. The padding covers hip bones and kidneys with plenty of thickness, but it is segmented apart from the chest protector itself, so still very flexible through the trunk. The velcro belly strap is dedicated for the hip protection and works great to hold it in place.

I wear hockey breezers with it now, which cover the waist area much better than any motorcycle options (still extremely flexible and breathable, even CE tag on my pair). Some of the waist coverage is redundant now, but it was a priority when I was buying, and it overlaps great with my hockey pants and slides together with no snagging or gap in coverage.

The back protector fits well with the EVS R3 collar, I was worried they would hang up on each other but so far it isn't a problem unless I go over 45+ and the collar blows back out of place. I could easily fix it by drilling to attach the collar to lock it down, but have not yet.

Nothing Better for Summer ADV Riding
I own a nice KLIM jacket, but was unsure on what range of conditions we would encounter on our long ride. We were riding during a time when many of the trails were closed for snow and landslides, so I did not know if that meant I would run into cold and rainy conditions or not. I have ridden with just the Titan Jacket on the freeway at an ext temp of 60 before and even though it was do able, it was still pretty cold. In the end I decided to take a chance on wearing this jacket and leaving my KLIM jacket at home. The KLIM would have probably been ok, but mine has high vis on it and I mostly bought it for 4 seasons riding around town. I didn't want to cover it in dust and mud for 2 weeks, so I just decided to take the Titan Armor and a rain coat to wear over it in case of rain.

I was very happy to have chosen this jacket although in reality I don't know how safe it would have been had I wrecked at a higher speed on the main roads. I went down two times in the armor on the trails and came out just fine. I actually think it has better padding than most standard jackets, but that doesn't mean it holds your body together as well as leathers or a nice cordura jacket. I was nervous the armor would just tear off if I skid on a normal road. The ride was dry and dusty and very hot (into the 90's), for the majority of the time. I was very comfortable in the armor and every time everyone else looked like they were dying in their snow coats, they all told me they'd wished they had brought the same thing along.

My only real complaint on the jacket, is that when it got really dusty, the zipper was hard to engage. I was actually getting worried about halfway through the trip that it would break.

Pros- Lightweight, durable, easy to clean, well ventilated, very comfortable, great range of motion
Cons- Street Safety? Zipper size/ operation in long dirty conditions is poor

Titan Sport Jacket
Worn for trail riding/racing. Very adjustable. I am 6'3" 200lbs and my son is 5'8" 160lbs (athletic build) and we can both wear it - adjustment straps at the shoulders position the chest and back piece, and straps at the bicep and forearm hold pads firmly in place. I can wear my back brace (goes on like a big kidney belt) under it, and there is plenty of room for a neck brace without grinding anything into your neck or shoulders. I wear a wicking tee shirt underneath, and a jersey over...airflow is more than sufficient. DOES NOT SHIFT/SLIDE while riding. Highly recommended for those that prefer something other than a roost deflector.

Better than expected!
If you use the sizing chart on Fox's website, and take note to measure your arm length correctly, the sizing chart is spot on.

It's lighter and moves more air than I expected. On my first ride ( technical single track) I had forgot about it within 10 minutes. Extremely comfortable. I wear a long sleeved jersey underneath.

I've taken several hits while wearing this and am convinced it really protected me. Every hit I have taken has made really loud cracks when the hard armor made contact with trees, rocks, etc...but I didn't feel a thing. Padding density is spot on. The armor has gouges from the hits, but no cracks. Awesome stuff.

The padding on the backplate could use some air channels for better ventilation, but it's not a huge issue. I never notice it being hot, my back is just all sweaty after riding all day in it. To be expected, though, really.

One small complaint in case Fox listens to these things: Strongly consider using different size chest plates on the larger size suits. My friend's M size has the same plastic chest plates as my XL. The larger suits really should have a bit larger chest plate to account for the larger rider. But for this price range, I totally get it. This is why I rate it a 3/5 on "Features".

I love this jacket so much that I am strongly tempted to buy another one...just in case they become discontinued when I come around to needing a replacement. Really a great product.

10/10 would recommend. Already sold two other riding partners on the Fox Titan and they are happy with it, too.

Very nice product, Fox. Keep it around, please!

Perfect for Thailand Traffic AND dirt riding
...Nope, it is not a dry heat. Happily we are frequently overcast so that filters the direct sunlight. However, the heat is always there. This jacket is the Best. Well made, comfortable and armored all over. It is made for MotoCross but my high speed on the road here is maybe 80 KPH. Which is slower than any Moto racer! The AIR FLOW is superb even under the big armor. I feel safe, my skin feels cool and I look insane because I wear it without a shirt or jersey under or over it. If you drive HOT buy this one--I simply cannot imagine better quality.

Good protection, good price, great airflow
I have had this about a year and half and have crash tested it, a lot. I trail ride primarily slower rocky terrain, with occasional moderate flowy semi-open stuff, both single and double track. I crash a lot, and haven put my elbows into numerous rocks, roots, and tree limbs, and usually just end up a bit bruised. Protection is good, no complaints. I'm 5'11 230lb with an athletic build and ordered a large - it was probably one size too small.

I like it.
I've got a Triumph Tiger Explorer (adventure style) and 99% of my riding is long distance street riding. I like this better then my motorcycle jackets. Mainly, it's got better air flow and protection. Lastly, your not stuck to one style. With this as your base protection, you can wear whatever jacket you want. A thin denim or leather, a heavy winter jacket.

Need something similar but intended for street use, what do you recommend? Most of the ones I land on are dirt rated.
A S on Mar 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would say this would be good for the road, but if you are looking at more street oriented gear, the icon field armor is what my GF uses. A lot of other riders in my area use the fox Titan armor though
What is the difference between dirt ce rated and street ce. In the video he says its dirt ce rated?

I'm 5'3. 14O lbs. 37 chest. 32 waist. Should I get small or medium?
A shopper on Apr 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Small. I'm 6' 195lbs 41" chest 31" waist and wear large.
Would someone be able to tell me if this would be a good product to wear for the street as far as protection goes? I see that this is one of the highest rating armored jacket. I see that other armor jackets that r more expensive have lower review compared to this one
Jose v on Nov 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't reccommend this for street use as it doesnt give you full coverage around your sides. A full jacket would offer more protection against abraision. As for impact, this is a good product.
Anyone use/recommend a neck brace with this? I don't want to mod anything if possible.
Douglas M on Aug 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I noted that some do say they would use a neck brace with, I do not with a full coverage helmut. The back brace comes up to the C4 level on my neck.
Hi! I was wondering if this product would be ok for street use, under a leather jacket?
yes/no, why?
A shopper on Jun 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi, I mostly use this as added protection in the desert when on a fine bike because it's perforated and allows for air to breathe through....
I guess you could use it under a jacket for street use, but I'd much rather recommend you go for something more dedicated.... Like a leather jacket with built in protection
Just wondering on sizing. I am 5'8 at 150lbs. Athletic build. Riding a 2014 Ninja 300 SE. Medium sound like a good plan?
A shopper on Jul 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yup, that worked for me with same specs. Sposed to be snug.
do you recommend it for street riding or is it only for offroad?
A shopper on Jan 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I used it for street riding a lot. I'd put this on and a zip up track jacket on the top of it. If it was dark, I'd ride with just this on. During hot summer nights it feels really nice.
Pros:
a lot of protective plates: elbows, shoulders, back, chest.
If it's hot outside it really does keep you cool
I really liked the backplate, because if you ride crunched forward it does provide a lot of back support and you don't get tired and fatigued as quickly.

Cons:
The shoulder plates are bulky, so if you ride leaning forward then when you turn your head to look backwards, the helmet catches the little protrusions that are coming out from the pads. But if you ride straight up then no problem.
The looks might be a problem for someone, but then again I rode it with something over it.
Also, I'd recommend putting something over it that offers abrasion protection, because this thing on its own is mainly against impact.
Overall, I like it and still have it.
does it protect collar bone? cause I don't see any plastic plate in that area
A shopper on Sep 25, 2013
BEST ANSWER: No it doesnt,
but normally you get hurt on the collar bone when fall on your side and there are the proteccions that helps for less injury.
last february i felt down and broke just one ribe bone, thanks God I was wearing this jacket....
can I use it on the road for supermoto?
Toby R on Jan 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use it over a t-shirt for my klr. I've gone down more than a few times, no more than 35mph, and it's done great. I did have to repair the stitching on the shoulder. It's comfortable, adjustable and didn't move when I've crashed. I'm 5'10" 170.
