“Some things work really well for some people, and some just don’t work well at all.” That’s Lemmy on the essence of moto mods in the latest episode of Highside/Lowside, and I’m not sure I’ve ever heard a more concise summary of why we change up our rides.
Sooner or later, most everyday motorcycles seem to be modified in some way. I know I’m already pulling covers and reaching for a screwdriver whenever I roll something in the garage for the first time. That’s right, there’s a mod I do to every bike I own. And there are usually quite a few that come after that!
The Highside/Lowside boys get deep into all the reasons a person might modify, from performance and protection to looks and aesthetics. It’s your motorcycle. Do whatever makes it better for you. Handlebar-mounted cupholders? Lucky dice valve stem caps? Zombie mirrors? The world of motorcycle modification might just be endless.
