Go ahead, replay it. Over and over, like I did.
YouTuber Malik Elizee is lucky to be alive after a Camaro tried to occupy the same space as three other vehicles.
Re-watch that and you’ll see him leapfrog the bike, latch onto the Toyota’s underside, ride the slide, then tuck and roll out. Walking away from that impact is incredible, but this rider takes it to another level by jogging it out from his glitch-in-the-Matrix escape. That’s style.
How did Elizee manage his feat? The video doesn’t answer all my questions. For starters, how long has he competed in moto-parkour? And at what point in his ninja training did they tell him which parts of a RAV4’s undercarriage are safe to grab when side-surfing one on asphalt? More importantly, he does tell us in the description that “no one left in an ambulance” and his bike was even able to run the short distance home.
“The bike would've been a lot worse shape if not for my frame sliders. My frame slider is completely grinded and destroyed but it saved most of the bike. Other than some broken plastic and mirror, the damage isn't too serious.” Elizee credits his gear with saving his skin, as his “gloves and jacket saved me what would've been some serious sliding damage.” After an impact like that, he and the bike will both need to be checked out before riding again.
Call it a quick reaction time, hysterical strength, or the adrenaline rush of the century. Whatever it was, we’re glad Elizee escaped safely. Recording the whole thing is just a bonus, but it offers other riders a good lesson in staying alert and reacting quickly, one they'd probably rather not learn firsthand.
