Video: Amazing motorcycle stunts in India's Republic Day Parade

Jan 29, 2026

Maybe you think the Nitro Circus stadium show is the only place to see motorcycle stunts. Well, 42 women stacked in a pyramid on nine motorcycles would like you to consider stunts that don't involve flying through the air or flamethrowers, but still show a lot of riding skill.

Every January, India's Republic Day Parade celebrates the enactment of the country's constitution in 1950, officially making India a republic. Along with troops marching and Indian Air Force jets flying over, there are displays of riding talent by military officers on motorcycles. You can ride a motorcycle (for a while, at least) with no hands, but can you climb a ladder attached to your motorcycle while it proceeds down a parade route without your hands on the controls? You can ride two-up, but how about seven on a motorcycle, with four of those spinning in a horizontal pinwheel? And can you and your eight riding buddies ride in formation with 34 passengers aboard, as mentioned above?

See all that and more in this video of the motorcycle highlights from this year's Republic Day Parade.
