Less than a year after becoming the official motorcycle partner of the James Bond franchise, Triumph painted up 60 Speed Triple RRs in black and gold to celebrate 60 years of Bond.
The limited edition paintwork includes the names of every James Bond film on the tank with hand-applied gold striping around the edges. The only paint option is a mix of Black, Granite Grey and Storm Grey.
Each Bond Edition wears a serial number on the handlebar clamp, large 007 graphics on the sides, and a custom matched cover to hide the bike from specs of dust and SPECTRE.
“Combining distinctive British elegance and style with exhilarating real-world performance” is Triumph’s way of saying the Speed Triple RR suits Bond’s line of work, even though the Tiger 900 and Scrambler 1200 were actually used in the last film, "No Time To Die." The Bond Edition is mechanically identical to the standard Speed Triple RR with its 1,160 cc triple engine and sharp chassis with electronic Öhlins suspension. This is yet another low-volume special edition from Triumph as the brand continues to find new ways to repackage existing products for premium customers.
The Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition costs $24,995. Again, only 60 will be available worldwide, so call your Triumph dealer from your secret agent shoe phone soon if you’re serious about buying one.
Bond stunt bike sells for four times its estimates in charity auction
In other Triumph/Bond news, a Scrambler 1200 XE stunt bike from the filming of "No Time To Die" just sold for $154,317 in a charity auction at Christie’s. The auction benefits a hospice in the United Kingdom chosen by Bond star Daniel Craig. The Scrambler was part of a larger Bond charity auction that includes Aston Martins, Range Rovers, Omega watches, Timothy Dalton’s tux jacket, and a Q jet boat from "The World Is Not Enough."
