Intermot: 2019 Suzuki SV650X coming to America, better brakes
Suzuki's SV/SFV650 has been a staple of the middleweight scene since 1999. According to the company's website, they've sold over a quarter million of them. The SV's light update wasn't a huge story at Intermot, but there are two changes coming for the SV in 2019. First, the United States is getting the retro-styled SV650X ($8,399, $1,300 more than the base SV650, non-ABS). This variant gets clip-ons, a cafe fairing, and a ribbed seat, plus ABS as standard. Second, all 2019 SV650s and SV650Xs come specced with new four-pot front brake calipers, previously a popular upgrade among SV enthusiasts. Anyone else see hints of GS500 graphics on the 650X?
