It does its job!
It's a great product and it works! My only quirk is that the security cable/string is a bit short. I couldn't stretch it far enough to reach the handle bar where the brake is located. So when I installed it on my front wheel, I had placed the security string on my clutch side handle bar and forgot it was there(I normally leave it on neutral). I accidentally backed up before turning my cruiser on and made a ding on the front forks. I now place it on the rear rotor and place the string across the seat so I know before I sit, to remove the lock.

Great disc lock - fits both of my bikes (with different disc configurations)
Easy to use. Easy to "see." Locking mechanism works solidly. The hi-viz yellow can be seen from a good distance.

Well made, smooth operation.
Easily slips on the disk and includes a highly visible reminder cable. Abus has a reputation for being the hardest lock to break and this certainly helps me sleep at night when my bike is out there on the street. The best part of this particular model for me is that it fits perfectly under the seat of my tightly fit 2011 Triumph Street Triple.

Good Disc Lock
It is small and well built. Very easy to store under my bike seat (BMW F800GT). I don't know how easy or difficult would be for a thief to force open, but from the point of view of usability is, IMO, as good as it gets.

This is one beefy lock, but compact
This lock fits the stock rotors on my Triumph Explorer 1200. The reminder cable is too short, especially since I installed risers. I bought it as a theft deterrent. It should fit underneath my seat and get lots of use.

Great heavyweight disc lock
This is a solid disc lock with a study locking mechanism. easy to use key and a secure fit on my bike. You use the key to open and the key to lock it. It has a convenient light on the key to see what you are doing.

Feels Strong, protects me booty. ARR!
Feels heavy and sturdy. Makes me sleep better at night, literally, and having it on at work/school makes me be able to concentrate and not have to worry about it as much. I would say getting a chain or cable of some sort to make it so no one can carry it off would be a very smart investment. A huge plus, it fits nicely in the storage (if you can call it that) under my rear seat and also would not be a nuisance in my back pack. Reasons i chose this and not one of the Xena ones, i didn't want a super sensitive alarm to worry about babysitting and setting and disarming etc, color is noticeable and deters hooligans on sight, and also ABUS has a great record. Over all i like it.

Solid yet portable
This disc lock is a solid piece of hardware (probably weighs 2 lbs), that is great portable security. It doesn't take up much space in my saddle bag. I don't use it often, but on those nights when parked in a hotel lot, it gives me a little extra sense of security. The solid feel of this lock adds confidence that it will take some serious and loud effort to get this off. My only gripe is that the "remove before riding" cable is way too short. I have a H-D Road Glide and the cable is at least a foot too short to make it from my front wheel to the handlebars. I remove it from the lock and simply wrap it around my mirror. Better than having it attached to the lock and laying on the ground.

I need something quick and easy for a deterrent on my R1200GS. Ultimately will use a chain or cable but this will do for my current location. When I travel to the city I think i'll consider a chain also.

Security and ease of use. A lock that is portable and visible but not too much extra bulk and weight for traveling.

Do anyone know if this lock works with a Suzuki SFV650 Gladius 2013? Thanks.
Angel L B on Oct 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: the shaft will not fit in the vent holes of the disk but will fit in the bigger holes between the disk and the disk hub.
Be careful to remember to remove it before moving your bike !!!
Do anyone know if this lock works with a KLR 2014? Thanks.
Pedro B on Apr 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Pedro, I don't know if it fits the KLR, but it is good to ask, it does not fit my R1200RT.
Will this Grant Sledge lock attach to the same Abus hardened steel 12mm loop chain that the Abus Grant Detecto attaches to? I want a disc lock and a chain, just not the alarm.
A shopper on Feb 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I do not think so. This lock was designed for disc brakes and once the lock is installed on the brake disc I do not think there will be enough space to accommodate a 12mm chain link.
