Woodcraft Frame Slider Puck

These solid replacement pucks are sold separately and work on nearly all models of Woodcraft sliders. It's a good idea for racers to carry a spare in the toolbox. They are replaced with the single perpendicular bolt.

The frames on certain bikes are very close to the bodywork, so Woodcraft developed a shorter puck for race purposes. They are 1/4" shorter than the standard replacement pucks.

Sold each.

Note: Two are required to complete a Woodcraft Frame Slider Base kit.

They pay for themselves
Posting the same review that I did for the base:

I had these on an SV650 and they paid for themselves by protecting my bike. Twice I dropped it at very low speeds and not only did they completely keep the bike from getting damaged but they didn't bend or even show a mark on the puck.

Then I got rear ended at a stoplight a couple weeks ago. The left one got bent and the puck wore down about a 1/4" which ended up allowing my shift lever to break but they did their job and kept the tank, bars, and fairing from hitting the ground.

The best. Don't mess with the cylinder style frame sliders
Woodcraft = quality. Don't mess w/ the cheap cylinder style frame sliders. I already laid the bike down since installing these and they held up perfectly and I only have to spend $15 to replace one puck! Very happy I got these.

This product protected the bike properly.
Installation was a snap as the studs simply replaced the engine mounting bolts. Big strong pucks caught the bike in a tip over-not a scratch on anything but the puck. Simple and effective.

Life saver
I've had these for a few months now but didn't want to write a review for a while to see how I liked them as time went on. As luck would have it, I got a bit greedy with my shenanigans yesterday and looped a wheelie. Bike went sliding down the road but the frame sliders did their job. The puck is toast, the mount took some damage but still seems to be usable, but the most important part is it saved the side of the bike that it was mounted on. There's still damage to the bike (tail, missing peg) but none of that could have been prevented by these, highly recommend for those moments when you forget to keep the shiny side up

Seem to be good
I bought these for my Fz 09. I really like that they are not hollow like other frame sliders so they will hold up longer during a slide. Only complaint I have is for my bike, it sure looks like the clutch cover would hit before they would do anything. Have not had the chance to test them yet (thankfully), but they would same the frame I'm sure, just not the engine. If I get another bike though, these will be put on.

Simply the best!
Strikes the perfect balance between frame protection and not bending the frame in a crash (longer sliders may bend and crack a frame in a crash, which will cost more to repair than without a slider. Longer sliders may also dig too deep and cause the bike to tumble. Also not good). Three crashes later, the frame is still straight with no cracks! Note that there are two lengths, choose the one that protrudes long enough to offer protection, but not too long to bend excessively. Sometimes, you may need to choose different lengths for left and right sides. These work hand in hand with clip on delrin ends, solid race rear sets, swingarm and fork sliders.

Easy to install bike protection
These were very easy to install on my Yamaha FZ-07 once I purchased the correct tools. I used:

17 mm socket to remove the engine bolts
10 mm hex bit to install the frame slider base (applied anti-seize paste to the replacement bolt)
5 mm hex bit to install the puck

Best frame slider out there
It's probably the best slider out there that you can buy. You have to cut the fairing a bit but it's well worth the extra effort because it really gives you the best protection you can get. Those no-cut frame sliders can't even compare. Woodcraft Technology really spent the time to come up with this slider and it looks great on my 2009 650R and for the price, it's really the best bang for the buck frame slider.

good price, easy install...easy choice.
Very Quick and easy install, I think all told for both sliders it took me about 35 minutes. The aluminum pucks also double as a hand warmer when riding on cold Colorado mornings.

Haven't tested the sliding ability or overall durability and hope not to but they are certainly solid, and I think they'd hold up well in the worst case scenario.

A shopper on Sep 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It's for an individual puck. I made that mistake the first time I ordered one and Revzilla called to make sure I knew that.
Do these sliders come with bolts ?
A shopper on Mar 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I did not get bolt`s when I ordered two aluminium pucks, and I`m quite unpleased with that because it dosen´t says anywhere that bolts don´t follow
What is this slider made of?
cbare1k on Aug 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The black ones are plastic, the other colors are aluminum. I'd go with the plastic since it can absorb more energy compared to aluminum which just directly transfers the energy to the frame and engine.
I bought a short puck. I am thinking about getting a long puck. The short one looks like wont protect much on the left side of the bike. Whats the difference in measurements between the two? maybe a side by side picture
A shopper on Feb 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 1/4" difference between the two according to the product description
What is the diameter of these pucks? I'm thinking about mounting a gopro roll bar mount if it would fit. ( 1.4-2.5")
A shopper on Jun 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Don't know the diameter. But I've got a gopro roll bar setup on mine and just did a track day at COTA without issues. The pucks do come in different lengths (short or long). I got the short for an 2009 R6 and the roll bar mount just barely fits. Still works though.
Does it fit to my 2014 Honda CBR650F? Do I need to remove plastic to install this sliders? Which sliders will be better for street riding? Where I can find instruction how to install the sliders, what place? Thanks.
Andrey S on Feb 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Since this is just a slider puck, you need to search for the slider base kit for your particular bike. I am pretty sure revzilla has a kit for your bike. As for me, i bought the sliders for my 2013 suzuki gsxr, and i had to cut a hole through the fairings to mount them. i believe these are meant to be engine mount sliders, not frame sliders.
What is the diameter of the puck?
Garrett M on Jul 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: At the widest point, I get 1 15/16".
