pretty good entry level
After a 4600 mile, 17-day, 13-state trip from Columbus, OH west to Denver, south to Taos, and across through Dallas, Memphis and back up through KY, I would give this jacket a "very good" rating. The wind liner was nice to have in while making a 12,000' unpaved mountain pass crossing, yet could remove it at lower altitudes. I'm not sure anything is really cool enough sitting at a light in Dallas at 106 deg F, if you know what I mean. The price was right.
I wore this for 17 days straight - no washes until I got home. (phew! be sure and keep febreeze in your topcase, lol)
Here is what I wish were different:
- exterior pocket zippers: I wish there were either velcro on the tab or you pulled "UP" to open. I suppose I'm just paranoid about things potentially falling out.
- interior pockets: maybe one more - even one that zipped would be nice
(I like to keep my phone, keys and wallet on me and not in my tank bag, so that is the impetus for wanting secure pockets)
- I really thought this came with a rear short zipper to connect to Tourmaster pants. it does NOT. As it is a little large to accommodate liner, sometimes I could feel the separation of garments.
- The fabric is NOT colorfast regarding exposure to UV. I know this is quite common among hi-viz fabrics, and I really put it through its paces, but I was hoping for fading to occur maybe next year or the year after.
- there is some "pilling" on the mesh that is unattractive. Sometimes glove velcro hooks catch when going for a zipper that makes it even worse.

But - it did launder well: armor came out fairly easily, and there was no noticable shrinkage. Still working on removing some bloody bug stains (lol) but that just adds to the karma of the jacket.

I was really trying to make this a summer true adventure jacket, But it's not made for that. I'd buy it again for the same $.

An OK jacket for the price
It’s certainly no Dianese, but for the money, it’s a decent jacket. The shoulder and forearm amour says its CE approved, but if you look at it, it must have just barely passed. I upgraded the forearm with Forcefield and shoulder with something beefier I pulled out of a Joe Rocket jacket. The back insert I replaced with an AlpineStars Nucleon back protector. I had to put in it upside down because the jacket pocket has a small opening.

I got the red, but it’s not a bright red. It has a dull finish. But it still looks good with my Dianese red gloves. The front pockets are very shallow, I can barely get my wallet in it so I put my wallet and phone in my pants pocket.

One positive is the liner is nice and fits neatly in a pouch in the back of the jacket. It can be worn unattached to the jacket so you can wear it with other jackets. Its waterproof, but I would not use it as a primary rain liner. But it’s good if you get caught in a cloud burst.

All in all, I paid an extra $50 for the forearm and another $50 for the back protector. So I ended up paying about $240. I could have gotten a better jacket for that. So I am not happy overall, but I bought it, so I will use it.

Great airflow and protection at a reasonable price
I just received my new Draft Air 3 in the black and gray color and love it. It's a stylish and simple looking jacket without all the typical patches and billboards like other manufacturers. I am 5"11' and 184 pound with an average build and bought the medium as the size chart suggested. It was spot on, the jacket sits right at my waste and the sleeves are the right length at my wrists. I just took a 30 mile ride in 85 degree sunny weather with the liner out, ventilation was excellent and sitting at stop lights did not seem to overheat me. The Amor is comfortable and fits right in all the right places. I would highly recommend this jacket for the seasoned or new rider.

Almost perfect
I like everything about this product, EXCEPT, the large inside pockets. I purchased this jacket for warm weather protection and air flow is obviously an essential feature. The large inside pockets may be convenient, but they block the air flow making the mesh in front of them ineffective. Tourmaster is not the only brand making this mistake, so in the final analysis this is as good a jacket as you can buy for anywhere near the price.

Great product at an excellent price.
This is my first motorcycle jacket, and although I know that leather is the safer choice, Oklahoma summers can be pretty hot and humid. It arrived today and I went on about an hour ride with temperatures just around 90 and very humid due to the recent rains. The airflow was great! To me it felt almost as comfortable as just wearing a short sleeve shirt, but without the constant harsh wind against my arms.

I have just got back into riding, and want to wear protective gear yet also stay comfortable. I purchased the hi-viz to match my hi-viz full face helmet. I love that this jacket isn't completely hi-viz to the point I look like a highlighter marker, but unlike some jackets that have a small strip of hi-viz, this one has enough that it stands out.

Could use a front pocket
I'm an American that is currently living in remote Western Australia. Prices here are close to double what people pay in the States. That's why I still buy American if possible.

I got this jacket on sale, so I spent way less than 1/2 of what I would in Australia for a similar item.

The jacket is as advertised. My only complaint is that it needs front pocket(s); preferably at least one breast pocket on the exterior.

It gets HOT here in the Summer. One day it was 50.7 C. (About 123 F.) last January. This jacket provides protection while allowing Excellent air flow through it.

This particular jacket also has the bright yellow high visibility highlights. That is important because Aussies really do drive like "Mad Max" in the outback !!! *S*

Highly Recommended !

Fantastic Mesh Jacket
Great Jacket, no complaints! Bought it to be used in Florida hot weather and it's great. I thought it would have more air flow
(too much) but it brings in the perfect amount of air in. I use it without the waterproof liner at 65F and higher. Size - I'm 5'7" 150lbs with broad shoulders, typically wear a M and bought a S which is perfect. Do not place Velcro from gloves or jacket itself against mesh as it will tear up and sprout like a bush. Wish it had more pockets and bigger but I carry a backpack all the time. Buy it if your looking for a summer jacket.

Good jacket. Comfortable in 100 degree weather in Central Oregon
I'm 6'2" 195 with 35" sleeve. Large fits well, a bit roomy which I prefer for air flow. Good basic mesh jacket, pockets in right places. There is a trade off of airflow vs. protection with back pad in place. Pockets in the right places for me. Haven't ridden in rain yet. Bought this jacket over a few less expensive mesh jackets for the extra comfort features.

I would buy it over and over again
I live in Miami FL and a huge issue we have here other then bad drivers is some serious heat. So i picked this jacket for its amazing ventilation, and the fact it has a water resistant inner liner to help with those random rainshowers that not even the weather man can predict. I picked this one over the 4 ( in which I really liked) due to the functional rear pouch that I keep the rain liner in. It really is a great feature.the reason I gave this jacket mainly four stars is because I have nothing to compare it to in order to say it deserves to get a 5 star. O but wait there's more! I have the hi viz yellow and love it. I've had people pull up to me and say " man that's a great jacket I was able to see you from a distance due to the jacket... and helmet."

Fantastic!
Great buy! Light, comfortable and good looking (just like I like my women). I love the style, at an unbeatable price. Things I wouwould improve are :
Main zipper: it's very thin and not as easy to hook at the bottom as the ones with larger teeth. Would also like to have a two way zipper so i can open the bottom up a bit. So far I had the jacket for a couple of weeks and it performes fine, but being so thin, makes me wonder about durability. I am treating it with care, so hopefully it will last.
Wrist adjustment vecro strap...need another inch in lenght. Sometimes it feels like it barely reaches over to secure the wrist.
Internal pockets: would like to have a Napoleon pocket for easy acces.
All these are minor complaints that seem like too much to ask for the price I paid.
But overall, I am super happy with this summer jacket. Buy it...you won't regret it.

I wanted a lightweight summer mesh high visibility neon jacket for summer here in South Dakota that breathes and I can't currently afford anything more expensive than this great deal from Tour Master. I was in between the Tour Master Draft Air 3 and the Cortech VRX Air (same company I believe) and I went with the Draft Air 3 because of more hi-viz styling.

I am 6'0", 195 lbs with a 42 inch chest and 36 inch waist. Would I still want to go with a Medium even though my waist size falls into the large?
A shopper on Jun 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am 5'10", 180 lbs, 41" chest, 33" waist.... the medium fits me perfectly. I would think a medium on you would be a little tight. Hope this helps!!
What type of back protector is recommended to upgrade to with this jacket? Also what shoulder and elbow armor?
Waruie4 on Jun 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Joshua, the back protector this jacket has is like memory foam and can be upgraded to CE if needed. It already has CE protection in the elbows and shoulder so I dont think you will need to upgrade. I love this jacket and the it is great. Hope this helps and if needed you can ask me again. Dave.
I am 6'0" 195lbs with a 42 inch chest and 36 inch waist. How big does the waist get on the medium? Will it fit around me or do I need to move up to the large?
Kelvin C on Jun 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am 5'10", 180 lbs, 41" chest, 33" waist.... the medium fits me perfectly. I would think a medium on you would be a little tight. Hope this helps!!
What is the product sizing like? For a 50 in chest would you get 2xl or 3xl?? This will be used in south west florida where it is hot.
Anthony Paul W on May 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Tourmaster jackets usually are on the generous side in terms of fit, and this jacket is no exception. That, and considering the fact that you will be riding in Florida heat (in other words, not layering anything beneath), I would roll with the 2XL.
So, does this jacket have removable panels for airflow, or just zippered/ velcro openings?
John B on May 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I haven't noticed nay removable panels but it is already over 90 degrees in Dallas and I can say the jacket moves a lot of air without the rain liner in. The material in the sleeves and body is really nice moisture wicking and as soon as you start moving move a stoplight you can feel it cooling you down.
How can you upgrade the back protector? Is there a zippered pocket to slide in a back protector?
A shopper on Apr 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, there is a side zipper for the back protector pouch so that you can remove/replace the back protector!
I am 5" 10', Chest 34 inch Waist 32 inch, Should I go for an XS or SM? is XS available?
Priyatham O on Jan 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm 6'1" 220lbs and wear a size 48L jacket. I have 2 Tour Master jackets, both are XL and both fit me nicely. Very comfortable.
hi, i'm in between sizes being on the skinny side and seek advice ... i'm 6' 0" 165lbs 39" with a measured sleeve length to be 25". To go with XS due chest? or M due sleeve? tks...
A shopper on Nov 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would go with sleeve length. When your arms are extended, the 24 inch sleeve will be much shorter. Go with a Medium @25" (or LG @25.5" if you want the extra material). During the summer, wearing gloves, your wrist will not be exposed to sunburn or redness. Having a 24" will have a significant gap between the glove end and jacket sleeve.

I choose a 2XL because of my chest size, and the extra .5" on the sleeve is nice to have. My chest size is a 50" and 26" sleeve. Jacket is snug and comfortable. There is a water resistant liner and can be removed. With the liner IN, the jacket is a little more snug.
I'm looking to upgrade the back protector. What best fits inside this jacket with little to no modification?
