High Quality, Stylish Appearance
I finally got tired of wearing my Sidi race boots all the time and decided to invest in some riding shoes for my daily commute, that I could wear at the office all day without swapping shoes like Mr Rogers. I saw these and thought they looked understated, stylish and cool, so I decided to order a pair.

First off, they are very well made. The stitching, the seams, leather quality, and finish is all top notch. I put them on and walked my dog and they are comfortable for a pair of protective riding shoes. The sole is a bit stiffer than I'd like, but I'm hoping it'll break in a bit.

Not very good air flow, but that's what I expected from non-perforated leather and a waterproof boot. They were perfect in 50 degree weather with thick socks.

Mobility is great. They allow free movement that feels natural without any binding.

They run LARGE. I wear a 9.5 in Nike, and a 43 in Sidi boots. I ordered these in 43 and they were sloppily large on me. I swapped them for the 42 and they are perfect. I'd say if you're in between Euro sizes, go with the smaller size for a better fit.

BONUS: They come with a pair of red and black laces so you can switch it up if you want to

Overall: I'd say these are a 9/10. If the sole loosens up a bit after use, they'll be perfect!

Well-made shoes!
I've been wearing my SM Irons for many days in a row now. They have a great broken-in appearance with an unusual shine, which are two things that typically don't go together. The dark brown color and distressed bits are subdued and don't scream out that I'm a rider. And the waxed shine adds some cool bling.
I ride to work (6 miles) in decent weather 1-2 days a week, which means I'm not a road warrior type but I want to be protected. These shoes offer a bit more protection than my A* Joey WP shoes which I love. The soles are stiffer, toes and heels are beefier, but they are still easy and comfortable to walk around and wear all day.
Hey, these run large! I usually wear size 43 in everything but thankfully following the advice of the reviewers before me I got size 42 and they are perfect.
I'm looking forward to riding with them as they are going to provide many satisfying seasons of style and protection.

60$ sneekers with a 210$ price tag
I wanted to love these shoes. They are comfortable right out of the box, lightweight and they look nice. I wore them to work every day, for nine days to test them out.
Now for the bad: On day six I noticed the side wall on both shoes separating from the leather, something commonly found on Convers shoes after about 6 months of use. Also the leather scuffs very easy. If you only put these on to ride and the take them right off they might last a year or so. These shoes are to delicate for the 210.00 dollar price tag. When I pay over 200 dollars for shoes I'm expecting a higher level of quality. For example I have a pair Danner boots hand made in the U.S.A , I paid 240.00 for, very high quality. The Iron Riding Shoes don't even come close to that quality. If you can get these for 60$ or less, go for it. Otherwise don't waste your hard earned money.

Not just a great looking shoe!
These shoe's don't just look great they feel great right out of the box. They also give a decent amount of safety over a regular pair of shoes. When it comes to sizing i'm a 12 so I order the size 46 which fit me perfect. I also have a pair of the Chester by Stylmartin that I order last year which are still going strong. They are also a 46 and the fit and comfort are the same.
I highly recommend these shoes.

Stylish and well made, but one size large
I love these shoes. I was attracted by the styling and I have purchased Stylmartin shoes before and they are well made. Being water proof is a great feature. They are comfortable. From my experience, they do run big. I usually buy a 42 and did before with Stylmartin. For me these shoes in a 42 were large and "swimming." I went down one size to a 41 and they fit perfectly. I saw another review that had the same one size down experience. Other than that, highly recommended.

Great look and feel
First off these are great looking shoes! I have been wearing them everyday and have had compliments. People don't know they are riding shoes. They are extremely comfortable and being water proof is a huge plus! They are a little pricey but I would definitely buy again!

Get you some!
The initial build quality of these shoes are great, except for the flat, removable inserts. Sizing is true, but they have enough room for custom foam orthotics, using mid to heavy weight socks. I wore these all day including some riding amd they are very comfortable. These shoes are made of thick leather and take only a day to break in most of the stiffness.

Funky and comfortable
These boots didn't disappoint. At first I was concerned they would be too tight, but after a day's riding they loosened up. I normally order a size 47, but could only get these in 46. Luckily they stretched to fit.

Beautiful shoe, great style and comfort.
This shoe is great for what it is. I know I made some protection compromises going with a shoe rather than a boot, but I am happy to have a good mix of comfort, style and minimum protection. The shoe is beautifully made and looks great. Very dark brown, look black almost. I usually wear a 43 or 44 in size, I listened to the comments about these shoes fitting larger so I ordered the 43, they fit good with room for a thicker sock if necessary. So order the smaller size if you are between sizes.

Are they fit to American size as per the chart or run a bit shorter?
Siddharth S on Nov 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have a pair of the Iron and the Chester by Stylmarin. I am a size 12 in every shoe I've bought. I purchased a 46 in both pair of Stylmartin shoes which fit me perfect so I would say the chart is a good guideline.
