If you're looking for more power from your bike, a cam is a wonderful place to start - especially if you've already done most of the easy 'bolt-on' modifications. Installing an S&S cam is a surefire way to make your mill suit your riding style while getting maximum output.

509 Cam Info:

Originally designed as a bolt-in, high-torque cam for 88" motors with stock compression ratio
Lower lift allows them to be bolted into some engines with stock valve springs, pushrods, and lifters; high-lift valve springs may be required for some applications
Compression releases are not necessary with this cam
Great low and midrange torque
Strongest from 1,000 RPM-4500 RPM
Intake open/close 18°/18°
Exhaust open/close 46°/11°

Fitment Notes & Exceptions

Installer must check for coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance, and valve-to-piston clearance
Due to inherent characteristics of gear-driven cams, you may experience greater valve train noise
For installation of chain drive kit on 1999 Twin Cam motors, you must purchase a splined outer drive sprocket
Material must be removed from the inner surface of the stock gear cover to install S&S gear drive cams
Cam bearings and gaskets must be replaced when installing new cams
