First Pair of Riding Boots
I've been waiting on these boots for months to come in. As far as classic heritage riding boots go, these were the best looking on the revzilla site. I've looked through all the other casual riding boots from dainese, Alpinestars, rev it, and style Martin and these really caught my attention. Haven't had a chance to ride in the boots but I wore them around the house for a bit to get a feel.

First off, they look like more military boots than 70s punk rock boots like the description states. The soles are pretty thick. I ordered a size 47 (US 12) and the heel adds about a solid 2 inches. Still a great looking boot though. (I ordered the all black boots). Also the foot of the boot is quite roomy, I have wide feet and these boots fit completely fine. No pinching or hot spots.

Just received the boots the other day and they are quite tall boots (I'm 6'2 and weight 210, athletic build). The boots smell great right out of the box. Leather feels real nice and smooth. The YKK zipper on the side is quite chunky and allows for an easy entry. Taking the boots off was a little more of a struggle, the heel cup really kept my foot planted in there. These boots are CE certified despite only having protection on one side of the ankle. The heel cup and fore foot protection are quite stiff and feel like they'd put up in a crash.

The craftsmanship is pretty great, double stitching all around the shoe, a hefty yet surprisingly soft sole. Embossed detailing of metal on the heel. Soft leather interior and rolls around the top of the boot. Laces come with metal tips. The Achilles also has what looks like an elastic aged planel to aid with bending the boots for shifting.

Pros:

Boots look great, craftsmanship is spot on. CE certified, chunky zipper, strong thermoplastic (or whatever material they use) in heel, forefoot, and ankle. These boots lack branding which is def a plus. Only branding is Xpd embossed on front of the younger of the boot (hard to notice unless you have them real close)They don't scream I ride a motorcycle which is great if you want to wear these to class or to the bar or out on a date (couldn't stand the constant squeak of my a* racing boots with every step I took!)

Cons:
Price is pretty steep (after I received them they were 15% off and revzilla refunded the price difference to my accoun). Leather feels solid but I imagined it being thicker. Most other boots in this price range offer waterproofness, these aren't. Ankle protection in only one side of the ankle. Don't think any other boots at revzilla offer this but a stronger tounge with shin protection would be nice to have at this price point. Still don't know if the boots can be resoled or not. I prefer flat soles as opposed to soles with groves like these boots. ( comes down to personal preference thought).

Overall I love these boots. They make me feel almost as badass as I do when I wear my leather jacket. Great looking boots, great quality, and great protection. Are they worth the price? I can't say yet until I've taken them out for a ride but so far the pros outweigh the cons and I'm not regretting purchasing these. Hope I helped!

Good. LIke them. But... could be better.
Got the Brown version. Love the aesthetic. It's in-between cowboy boot and miltary boot. I think Spidi nailed the design. Also, it's a bit slimmer profile versus a lot of other moto boots that tend to make your foot look big. It just looks like a great pair of boots, that happen to have moto protection built in.

Other positives: The Leather is premium. I think the outsole is good, as well. The heel is only 1 inch high (I think someone noted 2 inches; it's only 1 inch added to the bottom). Also, really well made as far as materials and the inside lining. Comfortable. Even the sockliner is decent, which a lot of boot manufacturers go super cheap on.

A few disappointments...

As much as I like the look and am gladly keeping, I was disappointed by two things:

(1) There are no gussets along the tongue to prevent water from getting inside. Like, not at all. The leather is supposed to be water repellant, but unless you are wearing long rain-proof pants I wouldn't trust these in a decent downpour. Light rain I am sure you'd be just fine. But this would have been such an easy add. I think it was a miss. If you only ride in sunny weather, no concerns at all.

(2) Also, there is no medial (zipper side) ankle protection. It is only on the outside. Other manufacturers have been able to still give inside ankle protection even with the zipper.

Again, really like the boots. Fixing those two things would have made this a 5. I'd still recommend.

Great looking Boot!
I just unwrapped these bad boys and I got to tell you they look and feel awesome! Your gonna need insoles so just go ahead and order them. A very nice shoe with a nice zipper entrance. The sole offers plenty of traction and grip, which is important to me. The fit seems a little large but with new thicker insoles and laced up well they are perfect for me!

Nashville Boots - size chart is wack!
First, Spidi's size chart is crazy inaccurate. Perhaps on their other offerings it's closer, but not for these. That said, I risked it and ordered my usual euro size of a 44 (us 11). Had I ordered the conversion for an 11 here, I'd have been two full sizes up. The chart here says a 44 is a us 10. Nope. It's a solid 11. Check out Zappos for their convsersion chart before getting these. Maybe other sizes up or down are closer, but be warned!

That said, the boots are the best looking pair of this type/style revzilla offers. The leather is thick and heavy. The zipper is smooth. The sole is thick. These boots look like they'll take a beating - though I have no hope to test their ability to protect me.

They'll take a bit to properly break in, but so far they're comfortable and they look great. Other reviews talk about water protection - I'm a fair weather rider, so that's of no concern, but might be a deal breaker for die hard riders.

Pro - leather quality, limited branding, great looks, feels durable and protective, the price - other reviews balk at the sub-$300 price as being too high. Where can you get a decent boot with protection and durability for any less? Especially one that looks this good? The price is right where I'd expect it given the initial quality of the boots.

Cons - no inner ankle protection, size chart is way off, you may get wet feet

These are great looking boots don't get me wrong, but if you ride just about everyday and put your boots through hell like me, THESE AREN'T THE ANSWER. Sole does not last but a year (if even) and split and cracked right up the middle.

Great looking boot
I only had this boot for about two weeks so I will reserve my comments about durability, the only thing I can say is that the boot looks very well made.

I am a size 10.5/11 on most shoes and boots and the size 44 fit me well. ( If you have a wide foot DO NOT BUY )

Air flow : 3 out of 5 which is good for a boot.

Comfort : 5 out of 5 very flexible.

Protection: 3 out of 5 in order to achieve good airflow and comfort protection has to be compromised.

Sole Fell Apart (in less than a month and a half)
I liked these boots. The fact that you can't resole them was definitely a bummer, but I figured that for the price and whatnot I would have them for a while anyway. And then less than two months after receiving them, the heels on both feet split in half. Cheap Garbage hollow rubber soles that just fell apart. Would highly recommend that no one buys these boots.

I am a 12 C.
They don't have speed lace eyelets like a Corcoran Field boot, but they do have a side zip. Any boot taller than 6 inches needs one or the other. Not waterproof which is a blessing, since waterproof boots always get too hot. Do manufactures really believe we go riding in the rain? They are fairly narrow. Not a problem unless you have a wide foot. Problem is because they are narrow, so too is the shaft. Therefore base of zipper is subjected to stress during ingress and egress. As a result zipper ended up minus a couple teeth after just a few wears. Had to send them back. Otherwise a beautiful boot. Recommend to the narrow footed.
