Great fit, terrible stitching position
Last year I had these boots on a ride from Vancouver, Canada to Argentina. The boots fit well and kept my feet dry, for half the trip anyway. The main problem with the boots is the stitching on the inside of the left foot, the gear changing foot, is exactly where the gear shift sits. After 10,000 miles (3 months), it wore the stitching out, the top leather section came apart, and my boots were no longer waterproof. Pity, as there were great boots until that point.

I took this up with SIDI's American Rep, Motonation, and was advised this was "wear and tear". It would be expected that an expensive "adventure boot" would be able to handle a motorbike adventure.

Another issue was with the buckles, which are plastic. My riding partner and I both knocked the buckle on the bikes, and it broke. The quick release quit working.

Caution! Buckle Breakage
This is a follow up review. I bought these boots about 18 months ago. My review is the first one listed on this site. One of the buckles just fell apart in my hands while I was 600 miles from home. I have been told by the distributor (Motonation, not RevZilla) that it will be two months before the buckles are available. So I now have a $300 pair of boots that I cannot wear. I need to purchase a new pair now and they WILL NOT BE SIDI's!!!

SIDI Canyon Boots Rock!
Just completed a 3 day trip to do the Dragon in these boots. On an earlier trip the athletic shoes I had on didn't handle the rain well and the laces whipped my shins to death. These boots really caught my eye. Waterproof and styling in line with my style of riding "Goldwing and 49 years old". I got caught in a good soaker on this trip "you know the usual mountain traffic at 30 mph not going fast enough to keep the rain off you" they worked great not a hint of moisture inside. I put on 700 miles the first day, rode 300 while i was there and then 700 to get back home again. Doubled up on the socks and they were awesome. The buckle is a great feature and gives them a custom fit. The lug soles keep your feet on the highway pegs. There pricey but worth it. I wear a 12 in work boots and I went with the 47/12.5 fits great and after your feet swell up you can still get them off.

Durable.Comfortable.Boots
I have owned a pair of SIDI Canyon boots since 2009, and have ridden roughly 40K miles in that time, mostly on an FJR-1300. I live in New England, and typically ride from March through December, and in all kinds of weather. My feet have never become wet, not once, regardless of rain intensity. They are comfortable in summer, comfortable in spring, comfortable in autumn. I did have to replace one buckle about two years ago. Also, the hook and loop has partially torn off the flap part of the boot twice. I had it resewn at a cobbler, no problem. My bottom line: I highly recommend them and will likely buy another pair if/when these ever wear out!

5+ years and still going
My Canyons are my go-to motorcycle boots. I've been riding in them for over 5 years and 30k+ miles. When I bought them years ago I read a few complaints about the buckles being a weak spot, so I've been careful with them and luckily have never had an issue. The boots themselves have held up great, with the only wear being a few scuffs on the toes and the suede under the straps fading.

These are plenty comfortable enough to walk around in off the bike - I have worn them for full days at the office more times than I can count. They won't win you any style points, but no one will give you weird looks for wearing these under a pair of jeans either.

Gore-Tex works and works well; my feet have never gotten wet in these boots. They are a little warm in hot weather, no different than any other pair of Gore-Tex footwear I own. In cold weather, a good Merino sock is all I need to keep my feet warm. Protection is solid for a road-focused boot, with solid toe and heel counters, medial and lateral malleolus protection, and a thin plastic shin plate. The sole is sturdy and grips well in wet and slick conditions.

Every shoe I own is either a 10 or 10.5 in average width. I do have a high instep. Size 44 fit me perfect right out of the box and required no breaking in.

Great Boots - Totally waterproof.
I've had these boots for a couple of years now and I can't recommend them highly enough. Ridden in temps between 28 and 100 degrees, although they are a little warm above 90 degrees (but what wouldn't be). Been through hail, sleet, snow and huge downpours, as well as fields of mud. All the while the boots kept me totally dry and warm. i highly recommend them!

Sidi Canyon
After two full seasons and 50k+ miles on my Sidi Canyons I can say they are the best boot I have ever worn. The quality of construction is excellent and they DO NOT LEAK. I have worn them in the absolute worst weather conditions one is able to ride through, on both open (Ducati Monster) and full fairing (R1200RT) bikes and no leaks.
I was concerned about the durability of the buckles at first and have been very careful with them but have had no problems. I like that I can reach down while riding and adjust how tight the boot is. Very conforatble off the bike as well. Overall excellent.

I can't imagine having found a better boot. If I wear these out it means I've also worn out dozens of tires while enjoying them in complete comfort and security.

Great all around boot
I switched my old Puma boots out for the Sidi Canyons and they've been amazing. I ditched the Puma boots because both zipper pulls broke. The Sidi is much better. The ratchet mechanism is easy along with the large Velcro surface area. Boots have worked wonderfully in the Pacific Northwest rain. It has a moderate stiffness -- not too stiff like the adventure touring boots but still feels sturdy. All in all, I really like these boots.

Excellent boot especially for the money.
I purchased this boot one week before I left for a trip to Alaska and up the Dempster Hwy to Inuvik from Santa Fe, NM. I rode 12,000 miles in 6 weeks in all kinds of weather and wore these boots between 12 to 20 hours every day for the entire time. The first 9 days was often in pouring rain, the next 24 days the temps ranged between 70 to 100 degrees and I have no complaints. Didn't matter if it was highway riding or dirt roads, the velcro on the sides was very strong and I was able to get plenty of support. Even after some hard miles that included over 1000 miles of dirt soaked with Magnesium Chloride, they are still intact.

Seems to be the best middle ground between protection and comfort. I almost didn't go with these because my SIDI street boots are a little tight.... but this was addressed in the video breakdown so I took a chance. Glad I did. #HiVizBrianisaLion

Needed to replace my BMW boots. These appear to be a great deal with good functionality. The BMW boots looks cool, but after a few thousand miles they make you wonder if you're foot is really protected. I have other Sidi Adventure boots for off road rides. Sidi makes great boots for long rides.

Love these boots. They see about 20k/year. Rare to find one that feels as good as these do new. Just gets better from there while offering warmth, comfort, and protection. Looks good too. Bought extra buckles to have on hand but haven't had any problems.

I am replacing the same model I currently own. They are functional for daily use, look subtle but nice, and protective enough for both touring and daily commutes across Los Angeles' rush hour. These have been ridden across the US (and Australia) in every temperature from freezing to 115F -- including hurricane conditions on the east coast. Completely waterproof.

Seemed to fit the description of what I need for the type of riding I will be doing.
And, I need a boot that I can tighten across the top of my arch. The Tour Gore-Tex didn't have this feature.
Plus, listening to Anthony do the spiel is entertaining as well as informative.
James A on Mar 24, 2016
Since my days in the military and countless hours outdoors I have sworn by Gore-Tex. Most boots that have wp membranes are sport rider in style while cruiser or street only have oiled leather, these I could ride with any bike.
Kenneth M on Mar 22, 2016
Like the look, reviews are good.
C D on Mar 18, 2016
Awesome boot. Having just ratchets and velcro is a plus. I had some Puma riding boots with zippers and they were super problematic. The zippers pulls kept breaking. This design is very maintenance free. The vecro works and the ratchet mechanisms work flawlessly. This is some good stuff. Plus on a low speed low side accident the leather was scuffed up but not at all affected. Quality stuff here. I recommend this.

After wearing a pair of Sidi Tourmasters for better than 15 years it was time to replace them rather than repair. The only, if I can use the word flaw, was the velcro that required to be replaced every few years. Certainly not a complaint as they have held up very well...I'll try the buckle and get another 15 years!
Eugene M on Oct 20, 2015
Wore these boots on 11K+ mile trip. Saw 2 solid days of rain and sleet, temps from 40's to 90's. Feet stayed dry and comfortable with just a pair of wool socks. Relatively easy to walk in and remain in great shape. Expensive but worth the price.

I have trouble getting adjusted to these boots. They are much bulkier than normal boots and I have some trouble feeling my gears shift, but I am sure I just need to break them in more; only wore them for a month after i got them becasue it got too cold after. Based on the reviews of others, I acquired these boots and couldn't be happier. Wear them all day and into the night, rain or shine, and they have proven to be comfortable, forgettable (you not aware you are wearing boots), and totally waterproof. You can actually stand in a puddle and as long as you don't got over the top, your feet will stay dry.Highly recommend

Second pair. Great general purpose-boot that is equally appropriate on the Harleys, and on road trips on the GS Adventure... Day-long comfort. Sized small...

Anthony described them in the video as "Adventure/Touring lite" which is kind of what I'm looking for. I'm not too thrilled with the buckle, it looks like it might catch on stuff, so I also ordered the Sidi Armada boots to compare. The price is difference between the two is only $40.

Can a pair of jeans fit outside of these? Looking for a decent riding boot, but one that I can wear jeans with at work on casual day as well and look fairly decent around the office. How comfortable are they for all day walking around the office wear?
Jeff K on Aug 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Jeff,

I can answer the first part of your question because it was important to me as well. Yes, standard jeans will fit over these boots. I've not worn them enough to know how comfortable they will be all day. The foot bed is fairly stiff so expect don't expect casual shoe comfort for sure.

Pete
I like the function and looks of this boot but I have a wide foot and I am concerned about fit. Is there a similar boot that might be better for a wide foot?
Raymond L on Feb 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: That is a difficult question and maybe better answered by you trying on boots in person. I can tell you that this boot it a European design and fit; meaning it is tighter and a little short even when using the size equivalent guide. I ordered a full size larger and I am glad I did.
I have another suggestion that goes with trying on boots in person; get "professionally" measured. In my youth I sold shoes and boots. One thing that always amazed me was that many, many people were wearing the wrong size, especially men! This was done by unethical sales people most of the time. A lot of men "think" they have wide feet when in fact they have normal feet but have been placed in wrong sizes for so long that they became accustomed to the feel. Seek truly professional advice and fitting! Good luck.
I bought a pair of Canyons from you a little over a year ago and have put about 16000 miles on them. Have been waterproof and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Can you advise cleaning procedure? Haven't found info on care and maintenance.
thx

BEST ANSWER: Kiwi parade gloss! I've been waxing my boots since I bought them almost two years ago. I wear them every day. I wear them to work in. I play in the mud with them, and even kick fires with them. Give them a quick wax shine and they're good as new. Almost.
currently on my second pair of tourmaster solution 2 boots. i ride a bmw gs with a cleated foot peg thats shreading the bottom of the boots.so i guess my question is is the sole strong enough to take the abuse from the cleated foot pegs?
getting tire of replacing boots ever 6k miles
A shopper on Dec 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Greetings! Revzilla forwarded me your questions - I'm guessing because I bought these boots from them... and maybe they know I ride a GS (oh, magic of the interwebs!). Anyway, I ride an 800GS with cleated pegs and have had zero problems with soles on these boots. I LOVE these boots. Great blend, comfy on road for long days - and I've taken them on some pretty gnarly single track on my 800GS and they've performed beautifully. Good option for GS riders in my opinion... if I ever buy a 250 for serious off-road shredding I'll go full motocross boot at that point. But for now these are perfect! Cheers!
How tall are these boots? Considering these or the On Road but I feel they are a little tall (14 in.?) for me.
Thank you
A shopper on Jul 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have size 8 Men's boots and from the floor to the back of the boot is 11" at the back and about 12" at the front. The heel is about 1.5", so the boot on comes up about 10" up your leg. I'm about 5'7" tall, so I'm no giant, but these boots have been part of my regular gear for two years now.

I just came back from an 8 day trip covering about 3,800 kms (sorry - Canadian!) and I wore the boots all day, everyday riding a BMW R1200RT. The were very comfortable and never too hot or too cold. We had one day of solid rain and these boots kept my feet 100% dry. Gortex is worth the cost and is fully waterproof. I have not been disappointed in these boots and they are also pretty comfortable for just walking around in too.
Can they be resoled down the line?

thanks
A shopper on Jun 16, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Sidi may say "no", but many Canyon owners on ADVRider have had success bringing their boots to an experienced cobbler and having Vibram replacement soles installed.
How does this boot compare, fit-wise to the Alpinestars Scout WP boot? I was able to try on a size 10 in the Alpinestars boot and it fit OK; maybe a bit loose in the heel.

BEST ANSWER: To me the Sidis run a little small. I should have went up another size. I wear 10 1/2 US and bought a 44 (as recommended by Revzilla) and should have bought a 45. I have to wear thin socks with mine. the toe box is a little snug. Don't let this dissuade you from purchasing the boots. I really like the boots. If I had the extra cash I would purchase 45's and keep both pair.
Looking to upgrade my Dainese Fulcrum boots and this would seem to be a good choice. I wear a size 47 in the Dainese, would I want the SIDI in size 47 or move up to a 48? FWIW, I am a size 13 in athletic shoes/boots.

BEST ANSWER: I have returned my boots and ordered one size bigger so I think you should move up to 48.

BEST ANSWER: It hits me a bit above mid-calf. I have to wear long socks to avoid chafing on my shin and calf.
