Review After 6 Months Of Use
After six months of using this helmet, I would give this helmet a 6 out of 10. And if you don't want to read further: If given the chance, would I buy this helmet again? The answer is no.
Yes, when Anthony "Adderall" Bucci demonstrated this helmet he glossed over two of the biggest issues, noise and ventilation. Remember, he's a salesman first (and makes the best video demos in the business, in my opinion, which is one reason this company has exploded onto the market, but I digress), so he's not going to tell you the ENTIRE story, but I will...

I bought this helmet based on the incredible feature set for the price. The bang for the buck seemed off the charts, and for someone who was getting into a modular for the first time, it seemed like a great way to test the waters. But I forgot the old axiom: if it's too good to be true, it probably is...

The fit and finish on this helmet is decent. Not completely polished, but no obvious cosmetic flaws on the exterior and the liner is soft and removable. The modular hinge works smoothly and the pull down sunvisor, on an exterior slider mechanism, has just the right resistance (I don't use a communicator, so the left side action didn't bother me). It does have a "Reebok" pump up system, basically a bladder in the lower padding. Like me, you'll use this once or twice, but never again. It's a gimmick and I would rather have seen Scorpion put their money in other parts of the helmet, including the chin strap, which is cheap and fllmsy. The strap does have titanium D loops, a great idea, but actual strap is poorly constructed and is fraying something fierce after only a few months of use.

I have an intermediate oval head shape, and the helmet fits very nicely with no pressure points anywhere. The slide down sunshade is a great concept, which many manufacturers are employing, but the optical clarity is just OK (this is one area Scorpion could have re-routed the Pump Up money to...). peripheral vision is good with the main shield and the optical clarity is acceptable.

Wind noise with this helmet is substantial, even at low speed. I ride bikes without fairings, and this helmet does a poor job at slicing through the air. Of course, a modular helmet is going to be louder than other helmets due to the construction, but compared to higher end modulars, this helmet is relatively louder. Worse is the dreaded whistling that occurs with this lid. I've done some testing with this and if you turn your head slightly to the right to expose the left side of the lid (starting about 11 O'Clock), this helmet starts to really sing, and it's certainly NOT a song you want to hear. It's awful. I wear earplugs all the time and it's horrendous, if you don't wear earplugs then just click away now...

The whistling appears to be due to the design of the front ventilation wind scoop, since it's central, but other aerodynamic forces may be at play here. Whatever it is, it's unacceptable and Scorpion should be taken out back and beaten with a stick to have allowed this design flaw to make it into final production.

Ventilation on this helmet is also quite poor. Some of the reviewers talk about the ventilation like there's an Indy Car air scoop on top, I assure you that's not the case. With the front scoop fully open, there's not much air flow through the upper styrofoam of the helmet and almost nothing pierces the inner liner. Even on cold days 40 degrees and below, you won't feel air moving. I'm amazed Scorpion couldn't get this right either.

The Future: First and foremost, Scorpion needs to address the wind noise/whistling when they revamp this helmet. It's just unacceptable, and frankly, embarrassing. The chin strap needs an upgrade as well, seems like it was an afterthought. Finally, for riders who employ a communication system, the slider need to be relocated so it doesn't interfere with mounting options.

Average helmet...but Video review is misleading
This helmet looks great. It fits great. The lining is great. What isn't great is the noise level. I bought this helmet specifically to reduce the noise...but when I put it on it was louder than my Bilt which was over $200.00 less. The wind flow is great...but its windy even when the vents are closed. I love this helmet in every way except the noise. Also they pump system to help fit doesn't really do much...i don't even notice it when i do try to pump it...so I don't even use that feature any more. The internal visor is also nice...however it comes so far down it hits my nose...and there is no way i can find to adjust how far it comes down. If you're looking for a helmet with airflow and don't mind noise...this is great. If you're looking for a helmet for noise reduction don't buy this one. Also the bluetooth recess for speakers does not fit the HBC 200.

Great helmet value. Super light and loaded with features.
I have never posted a review on Revzilla, but I scoured the internet for reviews of this helmet before I bought it. I'd say Anthony's review is spot on, for the most part. Others below have complained of noise. I have no such complaint. It is more quiet than my Scorpion EXO 1100 full face helmet. It also vents noticeably better and there is less turbulence. That said, I wouldn't say it is super quiet. It is just not particularly loud. I wear earplugs for extended rides and none for shorter rides. I experience no noise discomfort in either scenario. The helmet definitely runs small. I wear an XL in most brands, and an XXL fits just right in all the Scorpions I have tried. The interior is very comfortable, but it is not quite as plush as the Shoei Neotec I almost bought. Chinstrap is extremely comfortable (nicely padded#. The helmet is super light. It is the lightest helmet I have ever owned. Noticeably lighter than the Neotec. It has a nice wide field of view, and the chin bar locks securely with one hand and doesn't crowd your chin/face #like a Schuberth). The new cable drawn internal sunvisor is excellent and easily comes all the way down to the bridge of your nose. The anti fog coating on the visor works great. I have had great luck with the anti fog coating on Scorpion helmets. It seems to last about a year, and then kind of disappears all at once. I replace my visors once per season because I can't stand even trace scratches. For a fiberglass helmet, this can't be beat. It is an excellent value. I wish they had graphics, though.

Pleasantly surprised
I researched a ton about modular helmets, and was looking for something with better airflow than the cheap 3/4 I had. I was originally looking at the Bell Revolver at around $200 and was ready to pull the trigger, but was worried about the weight of it. I had an online conversation with a Revzilla rep, and asked him about the Bell and what he would suggest if I extended my budget to $400. He told me that the Bell was a good helmet 'for a $200 helmet'. When I asked about the increased budget, he was very sure to recommend this Scorpion. I asked him about a few others in this price range, and he kept coming back to this one. I ordered it. It arrived quickly, and was packed well. I know I needed to just try it on quick and send it back if it didn't fit, but fit out of the box was snug but not too tight. I expect it to break in a bit more. I took a 3.5 hour ride last night to check it out, had a slight hot spot on my forehead near the end of the ride, otherwise went great! The great ventilation makes it feel like there is cool water being dripped across the top of your head. The temp was in the mid 80's, not terribly humid, but I am a sweater and at the end of the ride I was dry. So many options for getting more air. When I would run through a town, I would just flip up the shield, bot the whole shin guard apparatus. This was great to get some more air. The drop down shades worked great, and allowed multiple settings, as it is chain driven. Not totally quiet, but I liked the way it made the bike sound (2012 Triumph Thunderbird), it was a deep rumble with everything closed. Seems solidly made, lightweight, comfortable, versatile. Also appreciated the nice carry bag and lubricant/shield cleaner that they included. The only issue I had was with the chin curtain. No instructions, so spent a while figuring out how to install it. Then there was a stubborn clip of the 4, and it started to bend out of shape. Finally got it installed correctly, but it is easy to bump it out when raising the chin guard. Not sure long it will stay in there correctly or how many times it can be reinstalled without the clip breaking. Great helmet and Revzilla experience!

Stylish and full of features, but very loud and small.
Based on Anthony's review that it was quiet and full of features, plus talking to one of the guys at Revzilla, I bought it, but not happy with it...
Sure, it's great looking, lightweight, great ventilation, and lots of features, but the other reviews were right: It produces a very loud whistling sound that gets almost unbearable almost immediately!!
I measured my head to be 22", and know I wore a 6-7/8 hat in the service, which put me at the top end of a small, according to the size chart, but they said to go up one size, so I ordered a medium. Tried it on, for about 5 minutes, and got a big headache, top of my head, and my cheeks were sore after that. Called Revzilla, and ordered the large, which fits ok, but that means you have to go up 2 sizes... I was also told that the whistling sound was when tucked people wore it, but shouldn't be a problem on a cruiser...WRONG! Unless your face is 100% straight ahead, it'll whistle (very loudly)... Plus, every noise is amplified inside the helmet...Passing a truck makes it sound like a freight train is next to you...
Love everything about the helmet, except for how loud it is... I'd suggest that Scorpion changes the design on the face shield seal to a round (O ring shaped) seal, to avoid kinks on it, which I believe causes the whistling sound. Also, I have a slim face, but those cheek areas are extremely tight, so if you a full, round face, this might not be for you...

Good helmet for the money
I ordered this hemet for my ride in the US. (Indian Chieftain) I have a Shoei Neotec that I use in China where I am based most of the year.

This helmet is good value for the money. It is more noisy and a little less comfortable than the Neotec but $250 dollars cheaper. So that can be expected. It does have a few places where I needed to adjust the inner liner since it was tight but after pushing in the styrofoam a litlle on the front the tightness issue was solved. There was a seam in the crown where it dug into the top of my head. I adjusted the styrofoam to accommodate the seam and now the helmet is quite comfortable. I have been on a couple of all day rides since I finished the adjustments and it is very comfortable.

A great looking helmet at a reasonable price.
This helmet fits all the needs I was looking for. It looks good, it's quiet, it and provides a great measure of safety. I previously purchased a cheaper full-face helmet for under $100 and the fit was not what I wanted and it was noisy. This Scorpion modular full-face helmet fits me like a glove and is relatively quiet. I have an exterior stereo system on my Harley Road King, and at 70mph I can still hear the stereo with this helmet on. Other helmets of this quality were in the $600-$800 range. This Scorpion also included a very nice carry bag. I highly recommend this helmet.

Really comfortable
My first new helmet in many years. Love the built in dark visor. Modular design latches tightly. Main visor clamps nicely so won't fly open on the highway.
I'd definitely recommend this helmet!

Seeking the impossible
Really liking my new helmet, the Scorpion EXO-GT3000. Still working out a couple minor "hot spots" across the forehead, but like the way the helmet feels like a part of my head.

I would like another detente between the first and second. The first they call a "city" detente, but the second opens almost to my eye level. Should really be something in between, that does not interfere with my vision.

Speaking of vision, when the sun visor is down there is a distinct distortion when your head is down and you look up. Across the top of the visor, it does not seem to be constructed the same as the rest. A rather odd effect, but does not affect vision while riding.

No pinlock on this helmet, but there s a fog free coating that is working great. Have had this helmet out in really humid, chilly weather, completely closed, and no fog at all. Waiting to get caught in the rain, and cooler temps, to see how it performs then.

Occasionally have to close it twice, as the first attempt may not seat completely. However, when opening, I get a very positive reinforcement that it opens. There is a distinctive "click" when it happens.

Not sure I'm going to be able to use my HD comm system in this helmet. My ears press against the side of the helmet, where the ear pockets are, but so far it is not irritating. I'll try to get the speakers mounted, and see if it further increases the rubbing against my ears. Hopefully not, as I'd like to listen to the radio again.

It is quite a bit noiser than the Shoei Neotec I have, and I would like a little more air flow coming in from the top, but overall very satisfied with it. This is the 2nd one that I ordered from Revzilla. The first was the wrong size, and they exchanged it without an issue.

Good helmet except for the noise
The ONLY complaint I have is the helmet is noisy. It allows a lot of wind noise in side the helmet. I had the 900 before this one and it was not as comfortable but much more quiet.
I am a Scorpion fan so I would probably still buy this helmet but the noise factor is something for buyers to consider.
