What's this?

Schuberth C3 Pro Dark Classic Helmet

The Rolls Royce of motorcycle helmets, the Schuberth C3 Pro has been designed to improve on the original C3, which was already one of the quietest and most technologically advanced helmets to date. The rear spoiler, which has been optimized during extensive wind tunnel testing, turns the C3 Pro into a real sport helmet, demonstrating outstanding aerodynamic properties at high speeds in excess of 100 mph. With its enhanced aeroacoustics of 82 dB(A) at 100 km/h the C3 Pro is one of the quietest helmets in the world.

The C3 Pro is also prepared to accept the integrated Schuberth SRC System, the C3 Pro also incorporates two integrated antennas for increased Bluetooth range and better FM radio reception. The inner lining is made of carefully selected materials such as COOLMAX, Interpower and Thermocool and has been extensively re-shaped and redesigned setting high benchmarks with respect to comfort.

Features:

  • The shell is aerodynamically tuned, providing more downforce and reducing buffeting
  • Interior helmet sound levels have been reduced to 82 dB(A) at 60 mph {C3 84 dB(A)}
  • Interior liner has been designed with fewer seams and a more universal interior fit
  • Improved EPS with integrated antennas for SRC-System which improves radio and Bluetooth range
  • Micro-lock ratchet chin strap
  • Large reflective panels on neckroll
  • Improved faceshield ratchet mechanism
  • Integrated sun visor

Acoustics:

A quiet helmet means active safety for the motorcyclist. This permits the rider to concentrate on riding – particularly at higher speeds. Many hours in the Schuberth acoustics wind tunnel have ensured that the C3 Pro is as quiet as Schuberth could make it. The comprehensive acoustics package with optimized helmet shell, wind deflector and ergonomic shape of the neck padding make the C3 Pro – at 82 dBA – one of the quietest helmets on the market.

  • Acoustics package makes helmet quiet
  • Installation of a wind deflector further improves aeroacoustics
  • Only 82dB(A) at 100 km per hour (with naked bikes)

Outer Shell:

The outer shell of the Schuberth C3 Pro is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight.

  • Shell material: S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber
  • Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight
  • Glass fiber with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy
  • Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds
  • Upward lift = 0!
  • Directionally stable
  • No oscillatory tendency
  • No buffeting
  • Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell

SRC-System Ready:

The C3 Pro equipped to accommodate the SCHUBERTH SRC-System C3 Pro (sold separately). To guarantee ideal radio reception, the C3 Pro is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost FM and Bluetooth reception.

  • Optimum reception at all times
  • FM and Bluetooth antennas integrated into the helmet for optimum reception

EPS:

The EPS foam liner is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution.

  • Made of specially optimized EPS foam
  • Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption

Inner Lining:

A special inner lining of the C3 Pro which was developed according to Schuberth's  innovative Comfort Fit concept that ensures the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials, with the additional use of Interpower coatings, also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system.

  • COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30°C)
  • Optimized fit
  • Variable venting for effective ventilation
  • Adjustable for summer/winter
  • Allergen-free
  • Antibacterial
  • Removable comfort cheek and head band pads

Ventilation:

Thanks to the design of the vents, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60%. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam liner and the head/chin/mouth ventilation ensures that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area.

A.R.O.S. and Neck Strap:

The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) was especially developed by SCHUBERTH as a safety feature and is incorporated into every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the helmet cannot roll off of the head when the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted:

  • The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind
  • The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt
  • Reduces the chance of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident
  • Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides
  • Micro-lock ratchet lock

Face Shield:

The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without the use of tools.

  • City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds
  • Pinlock visor prevents shield from fogging

Worth the money!
Expensive? Yes. Worth the money? Yes.
Noise.
Besides the basic safety helmets offer, I am concerned about hearing loss. Nerd alert! Yes, hearing loss (perhaps you should read about it, I found it pretty interesting and never considered it when related to riding). Before purchasing this helmet, I've always used ear plugs with my helmets. No longer! This is amazingly quiet. LOVE IT. The ability for the helmet to access blue tooth and speaker systems looks great. However, one of the reasons I like to ride is to get away from as much noise as possible, so I won't be using one with this helmet. I finally get to write this; This helmet is "whisper quiet!"
Air Flow
The helmet actually seems to be, surprisingly, a bit cool. I just got this about a month ago (mid April). I live in Utah and the morning commutes have been a tad chili (now May). The afternoon rides home haven't been that warm either. But I notice the air flow more in the mornings, when it's colder and I have no vents open. I may wear a skull cap in the winter months to add a little warmth. It's not that big of a deal.
Weight
I've never had a helmet so light. Over the years I've had name brand and not so name brand helmets. This one takes the cake. You won't believe how light it is. It's so light, it's like wearing a helium balloon on your head!
Aerodynamics
You won't believe it. I took the small faring off of my bike (your dad's bike has a faring...) like it did any good anyway. Going the speed limit, between 55-70 on the freeway- there is no buffering. None. Going faster? OF COURSE YOU'RE GOING FASTER! Heck baby, this helmet makes it soooooo nice. Your noggin isn't bopping around like a buoy in the bay on a choppy day...yeah, that's that. Go as fast as you want, your mellon slices through the wind like a ninja.
Vision
The wide line of site is the best I've experienced. I think the company discription said they expanded the side vision by 5mm. Whatever. All I know is that when I look to either side, I can see the back of my opposite shoulder. Incredible. I never knew the backs of my shoulders where so darn sexy. Aside from that, the expanded view of what I'm turning to look at has expanded my line of safety. Sweet! Super Sweet!
Overview
OK, when I first got my bike, years ago, I got a pretty good quality, expensive helmet but I have to admit, for the past few years I bought less expensive helmets because, well, they were less expensive. I don't know if it's because I've upgraded to the "Mercedes Of Helmets" or what, but take the Pepsi Challenge, there IS a huge quality upgrade/difference. I am riding more so I bit the bullet and spent the money. This helmet is so worth it. I can't believe how much nicer this makes the ride. Even when there are heavy cross winds, you will notice the engineers did their job. I don't know if I can ever go back to a helmet of less quality.

The price tag definitely shows
It IS an expensive piece of gear, but once out of the box you will feel the value in every detail. It screams quality in every corner and detail.

Pros:
- The lining and its feel and comfort
- The very effective Pin lock system
- The look of the over all helmet especially with the classic version graphics
- Very light weight indeed

Cons:
- Didn't find it as quite as advertised. Ear plugs is absolutely a necessity in longer rides on highways
- The forehead mark is not as bad as the C3 before it, but it is definitely still an issue with this revision. May be extra padding in the forehead/eyebrows area will solve this, yet again it just might be the shape of my own head
- The venting system seems very good on paper, but in reality, nothing that special. Even with "winter blockers" tucked away, the whole ventilation feels crippled somewhere. Once in the "City Position" it feels much better, however this is not an option once you cross the 100Km/H as the wind will rush into your eyes blinding you (Hence the "City" in the naming i guess).
- The whole shield/lens/visor system is crystal clear out of the box, however, the cleaning of the Pin-lock lens or the tented visor after the first accidental smudge or fingerprint is a real nightmare...nothing seems to do the trick even if you follow the manual to the letter... the streaks will always be there and I am yet to find a better way to clean the shield, lens and visor without ruining the whole experience.
- BE WARE when removing the neck roll, one of the pins broke with a very slight pressure before even putting the helmet on for the first time..... googled it and found it is an issue plaguing all Schuberth new owners if you are not extra careful.

All in all, i am enjoying the purchase so far and these are just points to consider....non is a deal breaker for me.... but might be for you.

Excellent Helmet
I have always been a half, 3/4 helmet guy. I wanted to get something that was quiet and had looked at the reviews for this product but was always daunted by the price. However, you truly do get what you pay for. This helmet is so quiet I can listen to audiobooks at 75mph. It has great airflow with the vents open. The drop down sun visor works easily with gloves on and covers a large amount. The chin strap is a little far forward for me but I quickly forget about it once I'm riding. I was able to install my Sena 20s without much problem. The control for the sun visor is on the left side of the helmet towards the front so I wasn't able to use the screw clamp, but the sticky clamp worked just fine.

Fantastic Helmet, but was unsure at first
I ordered a large, as their sizing seems to slightly smaller than other brands (I normally wear a medium helmet, 22.75 in). When I received the helmet I put it on and was not immediately impressed. It was not bad but not what I was expecting or hoping for.

I was a little concerned about the large I ordered, was not sure if I should have ordered a medium or not. It was ever so slightly loose and had a small pressure point at the top of my head and the helmet seemed to sit to low on my brow. (pressure of pushing my eyebrows down or something)

I decided to order a medium liner for it to try that before sending the helmet back, so I did. I received it 2 days later (great job revzilla!) and installed the medium liner. It felt better but was just a tad to tight all the way around my head. After sitting and watching some tv with it on for about an hour I told me wife that I was going to return it, that after all this and spending a small fortune I just couldnt justify keeping the helmet if I was not in love with it. I wanted to love it so much.. it just did not fit correctly.

So I switched the medium liner I purchased separately out with the large and put everything aside (this was a Saturday evening).

Sunday I woke up and did some googling on fit of this helmet, if it will break it.. or what others had to say in general etc. I found that some say it does break in and form to your head more in time.. but then I found someone mention forming the foam of the helmet shell with your fingers or spoon for spots that did not feel exactly right..so I thought first about the brow area, that was the worse area for me with the large liner in place.. So along the front edge of the shell/foam I ran my finger across the "sharp" edge of the foam to slightly round it off. I put then helmet on and bingo, felt perfect after that. I did the same with the point on top of my head and also perfect.

So after all this I did in fact fall in love with the helmet. The large is just a tiny bit to big, but only by the tiniest bit, but the medium was just to tight overall.

My wife and I went for a ride today, spent about 3 hours in the helmet and its amazing. the noise level is absolutely amazing, its so quiet compared to my old helmet.. shockingly quiet actually. The helmet is comfortable, no pains or discomforts at all.

Overall I highly recommend this helmet if it fits your head shape, its very light (especially for a modular) and so quiet.

Thumbs up!

This is an Awesome helmet price is no concern when its your head
I ordered this helmet on 9/21/15 and I received it 9/25/15 thanks to Revzella's super fast shipping!! Me and my wife did the measuring on the size and when I got my helmet it was a little tight so I called Revzella's support team and he told me to wear it around the house to wear in some, after 30/45 minutes I feel asleep in it watching tv and now it fits great. I love all the features it has. The quick ratchet for the chin strap is great gloves or no gloves. I really got my bike up to triple digits and this helmet did great no more lifting off my head feeling like my old one. I haven't been a big fan of modulars in the past but this one fits me and my riding style perfectly!!!(being a smoker or taking a drink) yes its pricey but don't let that scare you off if you can afford it I highly recommend looking into this lid! I believe my head and squash is more important than money. When it comes to airflow its like having an onboard A/C with the 1/4 of the weight of my old one. I could go on and on about this helmet but if you can BUY IT. You won't regret it!

Worth every penny....
First, helmets are almost impossible to get right as only the Arai long ovals were comfortable and snug Purchased this helmet at Revzilla recommendation in one size smaller than usual, and it fits perfect.
Comfort? No long trips yet but a few 4-hour trips in 100-degree Texas heat and the lid is incomparable. Comfortable (no red forehead circle), airflow is exceptional, and the anti-fog feature is a winner. Oh, and love the built-in sun visor.
Lots of bucks for this helmet, but lots of bang.

The more I use, the greater the love!
So...I was expecting this helmet to simply blow me away... In truth that was not the case. I don't know really what I was expecting but for the money I was think it was going to be this magical thing right out of the box. But....having said that, the more and more I wear this helmet I am truly in LOVE with it! The fit and the functionality of this helmet are the best I have ever owned!! I am extremely happy with my purchase and with a great hemet means I will wear it with confidence. The air flow is good, not great but with the modular face I find I flip it up when in the city or traffic. And the ratcheting system is flawless. Simply put this helmet is the best of the best and everyday I wear is another day closer to perfection!

Happy so far...
I've owned this helmet for almost one month now, and so far I am mostly happy with it. My previous helmet was my starter helmet, which I originally bought to take the MSF class to get my license, so I didn't spend a lot of money on it. (Gmax, around $150, I owned it for about 4 years now.) It is still a good helmet for the price, but it fogged up like crazy, had very little airflow, and was loud enough that I began wearing ear plugs. This helmet is obviously a huge leap up in quality. I researched helmets for months and tried on several at local dealers. Interestingly I felt like most sales people tried to sell me on the Shoei Neotec as a better / cheaper option, but I just felt like the Schuberth fit my head better. My first ride with it was a four hour ride up into the mountains of Colorado. I was blown away by the intense airflow on this helmet (which was really noticeable with the cool morning air). On the highway it felt like I was sitting in an airplane seat with the overhead AC blowing on me. Out of habit I wore my earplugs for the first half of my ride, but for the ride home I wanted to test out how quiet this helmet really is. That was a big mistake, as my ride home was about 45 minutes on the highway with speeds around 75 mph. When I got home my ear drums were hurting, I felt like I just came form a rock concert as my hearing was muted for at least an hour or two. So that is disappointing as one of the major reasons I bought this helmet was due to the claims of it being the quietest helmet on the market. But maybe my expectations were too big, I just don't think you can have car cabin quiet on a motorcycle. I want to add on the bluetooth headset eventually to listen to music and my gps, but now think if I do buy one it will be an around town use type of thing only (I don't know if I can hear it on the highway with my earplugs in.) The pinlock visor is a cool feature and is very clear to look through, but I will have to wait until the temps drop to really test it out. I did notice the internal sunshade fogged a little bit the other morning when I first put the helmet on in the garage, but it cleared right off as soon as I started moving. Overall I think the fit and finish on this helmet is top notch, and I really like you can get graphics as opposed to most plain-Jane modular helmets. One other minor complaint is that the chin latch rubs my adams apple a little, but so far after I start riding I usually forget about it. I mention it only because I remember people complaining about this issue with the original C3 and thought this had been addressed with the C3 pro. It is a very expensive helmet and isn't perfect, but overall I am happy and hope this helmet will last me for a good 4-5 years. If you have the cash I would recommend, but otherwise there are other options for less money you may like just as much (or more).

Always heard that Schuberth is the cream of the crop in modular helmets- with it being on sale, it's a great time to try it out.

Looking for quiet

My dad purchased one a while back and after trying it on I really liked how well the Schuberth sealed around my head. Also, these helmets seem to be extremely high quality. They were a bit too high in price for me at retail, but now that Revzilla has them on closeout I thought, wth, I'll buy one.

When riding at this level, get the best you can afford: it will be there for you when you need it most.

Wanted best Schuberth new C3 Pro - pretty good graphics and attitude
Michael Z on May 5, 2016
After a year of searching I pulled the trigger on this helmet because #1;I loved the C3 I have...#2; it appears to be just the right amount of orange to compliment my black and orange 690 KTM and #3 of course, the most important is of the fit and finish of a Schu...that being said Revzilla has got my second helmet order...thanks for what y'all do...

I'm getting confused between the Bright Red and the Orange color. I'm basically looking for the same color the Spyder F3-S frame has.

Was the helmet used in the video Red? It's brighter than the red they have in the stock picture.

Thank you
Louie H on Dec 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the video is red. I just got the orange and it is very similar to KTM orange.
In addition to the helmet, is there a bag for storage and what else is included with the purchase?
A shopper on Sep 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: My C3 Pro came with a nice helmet bag, pinlock shield and manual.
can you use the in helmet communication neck roll with this helmet?
Fred S on Feb 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have both the Schuberth C3 Pro helmet and SRC system Pro neckroll and use both together. Easy (relatively) to install and setup and works well together
Can you use other blue tooth products - Sena, Uclear in place of the Schuberth option?
mike d on Apr 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I do not have a Bluetooth in mine bit the dealer I talked to said any unit would work just like it would with any other helmet on the market (external box on outside). Only the Schuberth internal can take advantage of the built-in antenna already in the helmet . BTW, I love this helmet!
will this helmet pass snell ratings ?
A shopper on Jun 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It hasn't been snell tested/approved but most reviews indicate it should pass in the 3/4 helmet category. I believe Anthony mentions this on one of the reviews. I love my C3 pro. Amazing helmet.
I have a 58.5cm (23" exactly) circumference with a shape between intermediate oval and round oval and based on the size chart, it's states Large but while some are saying it's true to size, others are saying to go a size up. I'm curious which way to go. What size should I get? I'm hoping to not look like a bobble head with a huge lid and tons of padding to fill it in haha. Thanks
Alejandro C on Jan 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I bought this helmet true to size, and yes, it's snug. Took a few long days, and many on and offs for it to feel good. Plus, like a lot of others, I used my fingers to slightly crush the hard foam around the forehead to kind of round it off a little, relieving some of the pressure points. But going up a size would have been loose, and that's no good. Having said all that, I would certainly buy it again. Pricey, but well made, quiet, and everything works. There are certainly cheaper helmets out there, but I have no buyers remorse. Very happy.
Does the pin lock shield come with a lense?
A shopper on Dec 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes it comes with the anti-fog lens installed. I think all C3s come with them. This is my second C3 and both have the lens.
Does this helmet come with a dark visor as well? Thanks.
Ruben R on Jan 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, no it does not come with a dark visor. It comes with a clear visor and a pin lock (also clear). It has a drop down dark visor(sun shield) .
Great helmet non the less.
Some helmets have better air flow design for sports bikes, others for sit up riding. Which riding style is this one designed for?
A shopper on Sep 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I ride several different types of bikes and I typically have a different helmet for each bike, maybe just to upgrade along with the new bike although I don't always need to, but I when I bought a KTM 1290 this spring I purchased this helmet specifically to use with my new 1290 SA. I've actually never used it on any other bike, but for a typical upright sitting position the majority of the time, this helmet works perfectly and flows plenty of air and is also a very comfortable and quiet. It's very easy to get on and off, handy and easy to use the modular feature as well as the built in visor. Also, the primary visor and it's numerous adjustments and pin lock feature work very well, so overall I'm really happy with the purchase of this helmet and believe that it would work very well for pretty much any application.

I hope this helps a little!
