How is the durability?
My first pair of motorcycle specific pants. They fit perhaps a 1/2 size small compared to US brands. The Kevlar waist stretches very little so better to size up. I am 6'1"/220 and normally wear a US-36 but 38s were a good fit in the Saints.

The cut is a little weird... some of it is moto-specific but some is just weird. Crotch of pant is sort of tight and "gathered". Legs are loosish. Length is generous when standing but on the bike the gathered crotch pulls the pant leg up so I run them uncuffed. Belt loops are wide and tall and look out of place stylistically.

They list the fabric as 14oz on the Saint website but it feels lighter than that. It's stiff but not overly so. Let’s a little wind through but not much. Saint says 20m slide for Kevlar VS the Unbreakable Denim 45m slide.

I wore these for about 3 months this spring and summer. They were lightweight and work great on and off the bike. Then I experienced two problems.

Problem #1 – Fabric color stability. They started to fade a bit on the crease marks… sort of like how plastic turns white when you bend it. This gives the pants a bit of a “designer jean” look with lighter creases radiating from the crotch. I washed the pants once and it became more noticeable. That is NOT the look I wanted when I bought dark grey drill pants.

Problem #2 – Durability and initial quality. On my pants the exterior seam below the pocket failed. This was not a stress failure but a manufacturing defect. The pant literally just fell apart. This would have been very bad if I was sliding on the pavement when that seam failed. Upon closer inspection I didn’t find any more failed seems but I did find that the seam tape was starting to peel off in a number of places.

Revzilla and Saint were quick to provide warranty credit for these pants but I find it harder to have confidence in the Saint brand now. I would love to hear feedback from anybody who has crash tested Saint gear.

Good-looking, VERY light, kind of weirdly cut
Amazing pant. So lightweight and a really clean and modern style. They don't breathe amazingly well, but since they're so thin and light they don't feel as hot.

I had sizing issues though...

Normally I'm a 33 or so in pant sizes... a small 34, but after trying on a 34 in stores and finding the waist a bit tight, I ordered a 36 from Revzilla. These were HUGE in the waist and cut strangely in the seat and thighs... like really billowed out like horse riding or oldschool golf pants. So strange because the cut of the 34s that I tried on were straight and slim and modern.

So I sent back the 36s and got the 34s. The thing is, the 34 is cut amazingly well... but the button for the waist is located almost 2 inches into the pant. So the waist is about a 34 but button makes it go about 2 inches tighter than that when done up. The pant is otherwise perfect so I'm going to just have the button moved.

Stylish protection
I was looking for stylish pants or jeans that didn't look like typical ugly motorcycle pants. Mission accomplished. These pants are really light. I'm 5'9" 150lbs and I got size 30 and wear them on my true waist, just below my belly button with a 1.5" hem cuff folded over twice. They look awesome rolled up this way and not only does it look cool but it's safer for night riding because the outer hem 3m reflective taping is exposed. I'm a fit/slender body type and the fit is very flattering, trending towards a slim fit, but not skinny. They are cut really long 33" so they should fit tall riders too. They look just like regular pants, and I wear them to work with dress shirts tucked in, they are that nice if you need them to be. I feel so confident riding knowing that my legs are completely covered in 100% kevlar. Huge value having the versatility of being both motorcycle and work pants. They are just a tad on the stiff/crunchy side but I'm hoping they will soften up with wear and time, and in no way is this a deal breaker. I kind of expected that, being that they are 100% kevlar, and it is worth it for the protection. Highly recommend, extremely satisfied.

Awesome riding pants
I'm super impressed by the look, feel, and fit of these pants. Perfect for my commute across town to work and then wearing all day at the office or working in the garage. They're seriously higher quality, more comfortable, and better looking than I was expecting (and I had pretty high hopes).

I'll share my experience with sizing and fit, since there's some confusion. I believe the Saint drill pants fit true to size, but sizing up probably makes sense due to the lack of stretch. I'm 5'11" about 175 lbs. and I wear size 32 in Levi's 501s. My jeans fit fairly slim, but denim breaks in and stretches at the knees and waist. I ordered the Saint drill pants in a size 34 and I couldn't be happier. I could probably still fit in a size 32, but I appreciate the extra room in the waist and legs for moving around and getting on and off the bike. They still look reasonably slim and give me plenty of room to be comfortable and reach into my pockets while sitting.

If the Saints were a bit cheaper, I'd buy a few pairs and wear them every day, on or off the bike. I'm very impressed.

Purchased these direct from a local store in CA a number of months ago (assume we already know revzilla rocks). Am very pleased with them. classic look, the dark blue reminds me of old car garage pants, which i like. a couple spots are starting to fade a little around where there's a consist crease or rubbed spot. ie from a snap button on my wallet and one wrinkle on my thigh. Washed once. I'm 135lbs 5'10". 28" looked nice, and probably would have purchased as general jeans but on a motorcycle felt a bit too slim. went with the 30" which gave me some room to move. Length is fine, as in long enough, not too short with knees in the breeze, could roll them if needed, i prefer them to unrolled around the boot. I also have the tough jeans that fit slightly different (28's in those) These pants could be in my line up for years. Finally a company with timeless style and protection without being overly stylized with labels and what not. keep it up

Excellent All Around Pant
Really like these pants and they are now my go-to.

Fabric - A highlight of the pant, excellent hand feel, comfortable for all day, lightweight so you don't have to punch a new belt hole to keep them up, and just breathable enough to be very versatile.

Fit - Perfect in my opinion. Midrise so it doesn't sag down, is good for tucking in a shirt, and is more comfortable with a belt while sitting/riding. I had to return for a larger waist size, follow sizing chart and know these don't "break in" which I ignored on the first order. The pant bottoms just barely fit over my motorcycle boot which is nice in that I can wear them comfortably inside or out of the boot without excess fabric.

Armor - there is none but my preference is to wear strap on knee armor under pants rather than have it built into the pant. Keeps things simple and in place, something I can't say for many other pairs I've seen or tried. I'll add Velcro for hip pads to these pants.

One last thing to think about with these pants. They have no cotton in them. I think this is advantageous as cotton takes forever to dry if it gets wet. If you do longer, overnight trips and want a pair of riding pants for them this is something to consider. I may treat mine with scotch guard 303 to further solidify this point.

Gives a feeling of a higher level of safety
So I could wear these pants to work everyday and not need to change when I arrived, they had many parameters to meet: Lightweight, no exposed metal, comfortable, decent price and above all to offer a higher level of protection than every day pants.
My commute to work is only 6 miles, so putting on my usual MC pants is a pain. Combined with a 1/2 mile walk into work and the rather warm southern sun, I was looking for a better option. These were nearly perfect, with the exception of the exposed metal. The rear pocket zipper is metal, but with a small piece of the Kevlar material supplied by James at Saint (Thanks!!), I was able to make a flap to cover the zipper.
6', 190lb, size 34 is overall a great fit, would recommend.

Untailored fit, but functional
I'm surprised at all the rave reviews about his pant. The pants are just alright. I normally wear a size 32 so naturally I ordered a 32. They were too small and had to size up to their next size, a 34 (Would've been nice if they had a 33). The 34 feels more like a 33 to me. I'd say if you're going to order this pant, go a size up.

The description says that it has a great "hand feel", and while I don't disagree, I think it's just another way of saying that they don't feel like a plastic or synthetic pant. I would describe their look, weight, and feel similar to a pair of Dickies. And although the color is labeled as Dark Charcoal, it's more accurately described as a very dark blue (almost black).

The fit of these pants is a bit off, or weird, as another reviewer mentioned. While the 32's waist was too small, the rest of the pant actually fit quite nicely around the thighs and calves. They looked great when worn, but were unfortunately just too tight at the waist. When I sized up to 34, the waist was fine, but then the thigh area of the pant was too baggy. While they don't look totally awesome on me, I will say that they are very comfortable in a seated riding position (there's room in the crotch). They were also pretty well ventilated. Functionally, it's a great pant for warm riding.

I'm not super stoked on these but am hoping that with time, they'll break in, fade, and soften up. And maybe baggy pants will come back in style.

Tiny Waist
Disclaimer, I didn't get them from RevZilla. Got them direct from Saint. Went with the size chart and got a size 28, and the waist and ankles are absurdly small. I broke a sweat trying to get my feet through them before I gave up the first time, no joke. Second time around was met with success, only to find that the waist is almost 2 inches smaller than the size chart on their website. Sizing up isn't really an option because the legs fit perfect in this size, and they'd be too big in the next size. If you can try these on before buying, go for it, otherwise I'd pass.

Great looking pants
I bought these pants because I wanted to not always wear my technical gear. They look at home on the bike, at work or in a club. They are a little tight but no complaints. No knee protectors but I bought some and they fit ok underneath. Pricey but quality.

How many seconds of slide time are these rated?
MegaMatt on Apr 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: According to Saint the kevlar drill pants have a 20 meter slide time whie their unbreakable denim has an approximate slide time of 45 meters which they say is 3.67 seconds. So, I'm guessing the drill pants would be rated less than 3.67 seconds.
