The Rukka Outlast Long Sleeve Shirt is an adaptive base or mid-layer that uses Outlast phase change material to manage body temperatures - actively. When exertion level or the outside temperature increase, Outlast "Thermocule"  molecules in the Outlast thread change from a solid to a liquid - absorbing body heat and creating a sense of thermal relief.

When your body begins to cool down or outside temperatures drop, Outlast thermocules revert back from a liquid to a solid - returning absorbed heat energy - previously stored in the liquified Outlast material - back to the rider. The result is a garment that keeps you riding comfortably in a mild temperature zone. Yes, it is the same stuff NASA uses. In addition to temperature regulation, Outlast garments have been proven to reduce sweat production and vent excess humidity.
