The newer Indian models use a four-wire CAN-bus low-voltage computer controlled wiring system. Therefore, when wiring a trailer to these models, it is required to install the VCC007-50 CAN-bus module.

Fitment Notes & Exceptions

The steps below outline the components needed to wire a trailer hitch to the 2017-newer Indian models:

The first component you will need is the VCC007-49 sub-harness.
Next, you will need the VCC007-50 to convert the CAN-bus signal.
For a 4-wire trailer system you would use the VCC007-52, 5 to 4 converter/isolator along with the VCC007-49 sub harness and the VCC007-50 CANBUS module.
For a 5-wire trailer system you would use the TWC004 isolator along with the VCC007-49 sub harness and the VCC007-50 CANBUS Module.
