R&G Racing Offset Rear Spool Sliders Honda CBR500R / CB500F / CB500X
R&G Racing Offset Rear Spool Sliders Are they swingarm spools or axle sliders? Well they are both really!! The spool is mounted to a special, black-anodized aluminum bracket (included with the kit). The product will give protection to the rear axle and swingarm area in a crash. When not protecting your investment the spools can be used to lift the motorcycle using a rear stand with hooks. For rear wheel removal, you can take the spools out of the aluminum blocks and insert them into the paddock stand bobbin screw holes.

Reviews & Questions
My only concern is the install.
Because of the design of the CB500F (2014 model) the bolt that these spools can be mounted on actually is the same bolt that holds the rear wheel in place.
Once properly lifted (i used my car jack and stands to keep it steady) removing the bolt was a breeze.
Went ahead and mounted the bracket then proceeded to put the bolt back on. It took me an extra 10-15min or so of playing with the bolt to get it properly through the wheel and the other swing arm to then be able to lock it in place with the bracket for the right side spool.
I have had no prior experience in dealing with this sort of install so it might not even be a factor to someone who deals with bikes more often than the average bike owner.
Not something to be deterred from buying, just a discretion so that you may have an idea of what you are getting into.
My one complaint is how these have to be installed. You must remove the rear axle in order to install these sliders. This means you must re-install these each time you change the rear tire. For some, this could be a problem. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
