R&G Racing Aero Frame Sliders Honda CBR300R 2015-2017 Videos

R&G Racing Aero Frame Sliders Honda CBR300R

Improving on R&G's highly successful and popular round frame sliders, the RG Racing Aero Frame Sliders feature an aerodynamic teardrop shape for a more sleek and streamlined appearance. In a market flooded with the same cylindrical frame slider design, the RG Racing Aero Frame Sliders reinvented the wheel.

Constructed of heavy-duty machined steel, aluminum and high-density nylon, RG Racing Aero frame sliders provide maximum protection and the highest-quality fit and finish.

The slider itself is machined from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). HDPE was chosen for its high-friction qualities, as the slider wears down it actually helps to slow a sliding bike. The bolts are made of de-embrittled steel which work as shock absorbers, they bend instead of snapping, helping to reduce the chance of damaging the mounting points and thus damaging your motorcycle.

Sold as a pair.

Imperfection of a great product
The frame sliders are easy to install, took me about 1.5 - 2 hours. The guide is not the best, but it comes with 14 pictures to cross-reference with the installation.

Now I have only one problem with the sliders and THIS IS A HUGE ONE. One of the part, a spanning bar which supposedly goes through the small hole in the
mounting plates on both sides of the bike. However, this is impossible to accomplish as the exhaust header blocked the passage for the bar to connect.

Then I looked at the pictures of the installation guide and found that R&G knew about the issue, and drilled holes on the mounting plate at a lower position, which allows the bar to be installed. I did the same and drilled mine, but I personally think I shouldn't have to do this in the first place.

In the end, I still think this is a great product (minus the faulty designs...). It will provide some insurance for your bike, in cases of a low-side crash. I hope R&G will fix the issue I mentioned so other people don't have to go through what I experienced.

Awesome frame sliders for a CBR300R
I got the cut version of these frame sliders a couple of months back. They are somewhat hard to install, you need to remove the upper fairings on both sides and need a dremel/cutting tool and a torque wrench to really get it right. Luckily I have a local moto shop that came with all these tools. The hardest part of installing these is removing the fairings and doing the actual cuts. Give yourself about 4 hours to do this if you are a newb like me. Really glad I got these though, they look very strong and make me more confident with my bike.

What is the difference between a No cut kit, and a cut kit?
Veronica G on Feb 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Its quite simple actually. A cut kit means that you will have to actually make cuts into your fairings while a no cut kit will be much more simple to install because you do not have to make cuts into your fairings. I would not recommend cutting your fairings if you do not know what you are doing.
