Excellent Jacket but sizing is challenging
Very good quality materials except for the zipper pulls. As others have stated, the pulls are small and they do not appear to be made of quality metal. Where they attach to the zipper is very thin material and I am a little concerned that they will not hold up long term.

The sizing is a difficult. I am 5'8, 200 pounds. 46" chest, 36" waist. I bought an XL based on the sizing chart and other reviews. I wear a large in most everything else. The jacket fits fine without the liner. But, with the liner and back protector installed it is tight in the chest and in the bicep area. All the other fit elements are good (sleeve length, waist, torso length, collar, etc). So, I have decided to keep the XL and not go up in size because then the jacket will not fit right in the other areas and will be too loose without the liner. I expect that I will use the jacket mostly without the liner so, it will probably just be a 1 season jacket for me.

On the positive side, the jacket fabric is very high quality, has a lot of very nice features and looks very nice. I am very confident that this will provide good protection if I ever need it. Have not evaluated airflow yet because it is winter but I expect it will be excellent based on the construction. I like the sleeve zippers and cuff adjustments. The waist adjustment belts are also very good since this jacket is a little large in the waist in order to fit my chest.

Revzilla is an awesome supplier. I appreciate their product videos and quick delivery.

4 Season in a 3 Season Jacket
I read a lot of reviews - and the thermal rain liner seemed to be a big complaint. Summer riding into the 90’sF wasn’t very bad, and I love it for the fall riding. As it’s my only jacket and pants - I have been using it for winter riding as well. Most of my commutes are under 15 miles - but with the addition of thermal underwear, my regular clothes, and the liner - I have been able to ride in dry weather down to 25F, and wet down to 36F without much complaint for upwards of 3 hours. I have had to wear the rain liner once in the summer - and I would rather just get wet next time (it gets hot) - but for the cold - I was grateful. I’ve had one toss on a gravel road - and the jacket padding (with the back pad as well) performed well. Follow the companies sizing - not the sizing for regular clothes and he for will be spot on. Thanks Rev’it.

99% Perfect
I bought this jacket on the recommendation of my son, with whom I ride a lot. I absolutely love the jacket. It lets in lots of air so is very comfortable even on hot days. The removable liner is great for cooler weather and I can see this will definitely be a good 3 season jacket.

My only reason for not giving it 100% is that the side pocket zippers are difficult if not impossible to open when the jacket is zipped up due to there being no zipper pulls. I fixed the problem by taking the little cloth pulls off the jacket this is replacing but really think they should come on the jacket.

Other than that very minor nit to pick, everything else is great.

Near perfect jacket
I got this jacket in the white which is more of a grey colored cream. The material feels durable and both the materials and workmanship feels a cut above brands like TourMaster. The reflectivitey pop, the included armor is CE level 2, and the mesh flows. Overall at the price it is a great value.

My complaints are with the zipper pulls. There aren't any so fumbling with the zippers is annoying as is the interior zipper which seems to never want to open or close when using just one hand.

The cut is perfect for someone who is boxy but not fat. I'm 5'6 175lbs and went with the medium. I could have gone with the small but it ended up a bit tight on me when worn with the liner.

A bit pricey imho
Having owned a previous $180 jacket for seven years I may be a bit biased on the price, but no included back pad at this price point is a bit stingey. The main zipper is a lefthand pull which is totally opposite of every men's jacket I've ever worn. It drove me absolutely crazy and rather than returning it I heated the stop and pried it loose, Gorilla glued it back in on the opposite side. Much improved! Airflow is nice. The size chart recommended I buy an XL, but I fit in a large perfectly with a 44" chest 40" waist 5'9" 215lbs. The sleeves on this jacket are quite long, but in the riding position I'd say they even out. The cuff velcro is a bit cumbersome coming from just a simple zipper. I do agree with other reviewers that the pocket zippers are hard to grip, but I usually leave them open so nbd. The internal pocket is perfect for holding the phone, even a modern-day 6" screen behemoth like a Nexus 6p. Not a big fan of the felt collar lining, but it's growing on me. Also cannot attest to the effectiveness of the thermal liner, but for the two minutes I had it on in a/c I started sweating like the Vietnamese child who probably made this jacket. Would like some adjustment in the forearm to snug the armor up some more. I'd recommend it and hope to get another seven years out of this jacket as well. I hope to never attest to the abrasion and impact protection.

Great jacket with weird sizing issue
Am revit fan for years, but lately with my latest jackets from revit i been inconsistant with thier sizing, my first revit jacket was the revit air jacket in size XL and it was perfect fit, same thing with old vapor jacket with size XL, it was perfect fit and still have it. After that i bought the airwave 2 last year with size XL and it was big, i sold it locally cuz i live in Kuwait and i cant return the jacket to revzilla. So i figured my size will be large since my chest is 42". And both airwave2 and tornado 2 are similer in shape. Lately i bought the tornado 2 jacket in size large, since its box or touring cut. The fit around the chest and shoulders is Okay but not perfect. While the sleeves is from another planet. Its way too long for my arm, if i let it loose unvelcro it covered all my hand n fingers. Add to that its loose around my biceps and forearm. Even with liner attached. Now am sure size medium will be good fit for my body.

I did wear the the jacket is several times with straps adjustment. But the overall look is Meh, not the look that make u happy n enjoy the jacket.

Am 5.7, 160-165lbs, athletic build with 41.5-42" chest, 34" waist at belly button.

I dont know why revit is not consistant with thier sizeing like others, i own dainese, alpinestars, spidi and icon, all are jacket i bought from them with same size, which is Large.

My only issue is the sizing, but for features and style, u cant beat revit, this is one the most beatiful and full featured jacket u will buy. And yes, while others are complaining about how short the inner liner is, it fit me perfectly and i can wear it as stand alone jacket.

Way better than expected
I ride at the coast in South Africa where you can get super hot sunshine, rain, cold and wind all in one day. I desperately needed a jacket that would breath. When it gets hot it gets hot and a full mesh jacket is the only option. I was really surprised at how well this jacket fit, with the back protector in and full level 2 CE armor I wasn’t expecting the jacket to feel this comfortable. It flows a huge amount of air and the zip-in liner is warm and waterproof. I had the joy of testing it out all on my first ride. Sun and rain!
My only gripe and it’s a small one which I plan to address is the side pocket zips, they need a little tag to be added to the metal zip tag so you can grab hold of them easily they tend to get tucked up at the top and bottom which makes it really hard to close or open and virtually impossible if you are wearing gloves. They have a nice tag on the front zip so no idea why they couldn’t add them to the pockets. All in all this is an awesome jacket for summer and with the liner it extends perfectly into spring and fall. Highly highly recommend this jacket. I went with the sand color as I ride a dual sport bike and it looks fantastic.

only wore for part of the season, but great overall jacket. only complaint is inner liner (which is huge for wind protection when it does get cold) rides up a bit. otherwise great looking jacket with thick nylon all over.

good air flow, smallish fit
As many have said, this jacket flows a ton of air. That is after all why most folks buy it. That, and for a hot weather jacket it has great protection. All top scores in those areas.

However, if you are a larger north american rider ( and I by no means am I saying fat) finding the right fit will be tuff.
Example, I am a tad over 6 foot with a 50 inch chest and the XXL fits, barely. Chest works for the most part, top of the bicep is a bit small so your shift sleeves with scrunch up.
Now keep in mind this is modeled for the euro market, so the fact that it even comes close to fitting me is a miracle.

Great jacket, if you even "think" you want it don't wait. get it and you won't be disappointed

Love the jacket while on the go
I love the protection the jacket offers, but it tends to get hot where the pads are, fair trade off in my mind. While on the go, there's a good amount of airflow. In traffic, you're going to be dying of heat. I do live in Hawaii so you might have better luck. The jacket sizing is a bit frustrating. I am at that 44-45 inch mark, so I had to go with the XXL. The torso area fits perfectly with room to reach and not feel suffocated, but the sleeves are super long. I roll the cuffs but now the inner mesh is becoming frayed due to the Velcro on my gloves. What can you do? I would recommend this jacket if you have lots of open road for that awesome airflow.

After reading and watch about half a dozen reviews on this and other Rev'It jackets, I decided on the Tornado 2 and I couldn't be happy with my decision. On the hot summer days take the liner water-proof liner out and you stay nice and cool, in the fall I stay warm and dry. Fit is spot on for 2XL if you normally wear 2XL this will fit prefect; more of a sport fit then touring. The armor was super comfortable in the jacket and felt way more contoured then my previous Dainese jacket.

I wanted a light color jacket for riding in summer. Temps here are regularly 95-105F and the sun is very, very hot even when the temp is only 85-90F. A black or dark colored jacket is much hotter than a lighter color due to the sun.

Not comfortable riding with nothing but a t-shirt in hot weather which cut down on riding when it was really hot out. This jacket is actually better than I expected. Fit and finish is excellent. Provides great air flow while providing ample protection. The liner is also really nice. Functional and well made and can be used with other jackets like my Aerostitch. Still reorienting myself to the European zipper but am really happy with this jacket.

Online reviews gave this jacket high marks. It is a very nice jacket and with the removable liner, it really is a three season jacket. Also, like the Velcro sleeve closures. I also have the original Revit Tornado jacket and it comes in regular jacket sizes. The Tornado 2 is sized small, medium, large, etc. I get a better fit with the regular jacket sizes, as well the original Tornado jacket is cut a little more generously.

I'm looking into this jacket but as well as the klim induction. Which would be a better buy from a protection stand point? How reliable is mesh
Jose v on Jun 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I was in the same boat. I already own a Klim blade jacket. I went with the tornado and I have to say it is awesome. I added the back protector as well but it is all level 2 CE armor so it is a notch above the Klim induction. All the areas on the jacket that need super strength are there. I would certainly recommend this jacket.

Is there enough adjustment close enough to the elbow to prevent movement with the armor?
Connor L on Jul 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The jacket has a cinch at the bicep and Velcro at the wrist. I found that as long as you don't get a size too large, the armor will stay in place. Size chart was right on the money.
Are the exterior slit pockets zippered, velcro or other?

BEST ANSWER: The exterior slit pockets are zippered.
Has anyone weighed this jacket (w or wo back protector)? I'm undecided between this and the ignition 2

BEST ANSWER: The Tornado 2 will be much lighter and cooler than the half leather / half mesh Ignition 2, but will be less abrasion resistant.
I've got the sand Tornado 2 with the back protector and it's pretty light.
I have the sand colored cayenne pro pants. Is the sand tornado2 the same color?
William W on Feb 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I contacted Rev'it and they informed me they are different shades of tan/sand. They have no plans on producing a matching set of pants, they intended for them to go with the black pants.
What gloves work best with this jacket? Over the cuff or under the cuff?
stephen m on Apr 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I wear the Rev'It Fly 2 glove. I find Fly 2 offers solid protection features & decent ventilation but are reasonably short. The Gove does have a bit of a "gauntlet" that fastens snuggly around the outside of the jacket cuff. The Fly 2 also has touchscreen fabric on the forefinger & thumb of each hand, which is nice with modern electronics.

Either way, I'd consider something over the cuff. The cuffs can be made to fit quite swell.
