Best holder on market; but you're gonna have to pay for it
This thing is awesome. I have a handlebar mount, and the little RAM arm thingy, and it is rock solid, no vibration, have done triple digits and gravel roads (not at the same time, mind you), and the phone hasn't budged at all.

The size is a Perfect fit for an iphone 5. Won't go too much bigger, though. The bottom sort of blocks the headphone jack, but it will still work, and a little trimming solves that issue. And the arm pushes the volume button, but a little wiggling and it's pretty easy to find the sweet spot where it is snug without pushing buttons.

The plastic is actually high quality, similar to that used on popular high quality AR mags. My backplate is a little curved, though, which is disappointing for such a spendy little hunk of plastic.

The biggest gripe is that IT DOESN'T COME WITH A BALL ON THE BACK to make it compatible with the RAM stuff. So you have to spend MORE money to get the ball, and MORE to get the arm, and MORE to get the handlebar mount. But it works SOOOO good. I still recommend it. Just don't be like me and be all excited to put it on only to discover you still need more parts.

Performed as expected
I ride an FJR1300. I mounted this to my after market triple clamp on a 1" ball mount with a 3" arm. Ran the charger from phone to power outlet on bike. After a 2000 mile trip I was very pleased with this products performance. I was able to use my phone for GPS and music with my bluetooth. I was also able to position the phone high enough to see through the wind shield and video record some of my ride. I have an LG phone with a thin rubber case and this holds it very firm! The upper guard is not needed and the lower is not even nessesary in my situation. I was also able to slide phone up to a position that the arms did not interfere with any of the phones side buttons without compermising grip.

Grips my phone securely
I use this with my Galaxy Nexus. Anything wider probably won't fit as I have the fingers at max width. The phone does fit in securely and does not budge, however, it does block off the power button on the right if you configure the cradle with all 4 fingers. I might reconfigure it using 3 fingers, placing the one on the power button side in the center.

Now I just need a glove that will work with the touch screen.

This thing holds my phone so well that I'll never have to worry about it falling off. Bumpy road? Psh. Highway speeds? No problem. Overall just a super solid mount for anything you may want easy access to.

Good Product....
When I first purchased this product it was for a Galaxy S3, while waiting for my order to arrive I bricked my phone. I replaced it with a Note 2. At first I was worried it would not fit, but it did without a hitch.

Lots of screws and nuts but it seems well constructed and does it's job.

Great for the price
I got this to hold my IPhone 6 to my 2009 r6 and it does a perfect job. It's a bit large and the fingers on the side get in the way but it holds the phone in place with no movement

Sweet Holder
Like most other reviews, this thing works great! I have had no problems with it at all. Holds my phone very securely, to the point that I do not worry at all. Rippin' wheelies, small jumps, and rough roads are nothing for this secure phone holder solution. Installed on my 2015 KLR650 with the 9mm mirror post adapter and a 3" RAM extension.

Offroad & Bumper Tested
Paired with some shock cord, this mount is the perfect mount for your phone. From doing woops and small jumps off road all the way to sliding into a bumper, this mount takes abuse with stride. I'd say I'd buy it again, but with how well it's holding up, I doubt I'll need to.

(Top piece is not broken. Some material was removed to fit the uncommon phone shape of the Sonim XP6.)

Great product! Use it almost daily!
It was easy to assemble and easy to mount. Granted it doesn't come with any way to mount it to your bike, but zip ties fix everything. Here is the video I created for it. Hope you like it too!

I have a RAM PD3 holder presently and love it but now have a bigger cell phone with a Outer box cover. Will not fit in the holder, this is the only similar style holder that my phone will fit in. Wish RAM would make PD3 that would fit....oh well!

It looked big enough and sturdy enough to hold my Samsung S6.. Looking forward to trying it out. I only wish it was big enough for my work phone (Galaxy Note 5) It would have bought 2.

the reviews on the spring loaded holder were too mixed. I like the idea of the post at the bottom to keep the phone from sliding. no one complained that their phones fell out of this holder.

This work good for iphone 5. You need to figure out some way to charge the phone though since any navigation takes a lot of battery power.

This is probably a stupid question, but it does rotate to landscape orientation right?
A shopper on Aug 12, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The ball adapter that fits on the back can be put on a couple different ways. Then the ball adapter itself can rotate. But it does not rotate to every position 360 Degrees because of the extension bracket. I have a Samsung s3 and this holder works great. Hope this helps.
Will this work with iPhone 6 Plus inside Otterbox Commuter Case? I have my Ram Mount currently setup for my previous iPhone 4s
A shopper on Feb 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have this and it comes with three sets of fingers for the left and right sides. They are of varying lengths. I find that the smallest one worked well with my iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 in a LifeProof Fre/Nuud case. I am now using an iPhone 6 with a Griffin Extreme case and it worked well with the medium length fingers. Unfortunately, the iPhone 6+ is much wider and longer than the iPhone 6. I think the bigger problem is the length as the top and bottom is maxed out for my iPhone 6. Might be best to try the X-grip type mount I think.
Is the RAM mounts ubolt kit with diamond pattern the correct accessory to attach this smartphone cradle to the bar on my K75?
A shopper on Oct 9, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I am using the Diamond Pattern cradle adapter to mount this to my RAM mount. Works like a charm! However, be sure to order the right length arm to ensure you get the range of motion required for your application.
for this item would you buy RAM-B-231 or RAM-B-149Z to mount? which one is better? and do you need to buy anything else apart from one of those?
A S on Nov 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The RAM-B-231 is only the universal ball mount to the handlebar; you need more than that. The RAM-B-149Z is the handlebar mount and the cradle mount with the double socket arm and is the one to buy with the universal finger grip phone holder. I love mine!
Does this come complete with mount onto the handlebars?
A shopper on Apr 12, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The RAM Mounts Universal Finger Grip Cell Phone Holder does not come with any hardware to attach it to anything. It is just an extension to other RAM Mount Kits, such as the U-Bolt Handlebar Kit.
Will this fit an iPhone 7 with Otterbox Defender case?
Charles M on Mar 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: absolutely. It is totally adjustable. I have the 6PLUS with an otterbox
Will this work with a iPhone 6 in a life proof case and fit on a Harley street 500 ?
A shopper on Jul 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: most likely, as it comes with different sized fingers, however, those same 'fingers' could get in the way of any buttons on the side of the phone.
an iphone 5 is 4.87 in in height and 2.31 in width.
A shopper on Apr 27, 2013
BEST ANSWER: yes, it worked very well with my iPhone 5 with a LifeProof case. i used the shortest fingers. i could also use my iPhone 4S with a LifeProof case without adjusting the fingers.
