Progressive Suspension 412 Series Cruiser Shocks For Triumph

The 412 Series shocks are simply the best value shock on the market today with progressively wound steel springs that provide superior ride and handling. The 412 has an effective, durable design which means they will be an improvement to your motorcycle's stock suspension performance. The double-wall steel body construction with nitrogen charged, multi-staged velocity sensitive valving gives you smooth, consistent damping. A five-position cam style pre-load adjuster lets you dial in your ride whether you're a light rider or heavy hitter. With multiple options like full show chrome or black covers and standard or heavy-duty types for most applications, there is sure to be a 412 that's right for you and your bike.

Features:

  • Available in Standard or Heavy Duty
  • TUV approved
  • Made in the USA
  • Sold as a pair

Note: Before attempting to install shocks that are different than the OEM length, confirm that your wheel travel can be altered without causing clearance issues. Heavy Duty applications are recommended for bikes that are operated at or near the manufacturer's maximum load rating over 50% of the time.

poor choice for a triumph
I bought 14.25" PS 412 shocks for an EFI Triumph Scrambler. The shocks appear to be well made and finished, but be aware the lower mounting eye is offset. When mounted, the lower end of the shock is out further from the bike centerline than the top so shock movement is not parallel to swingarm movement. I thought I received the wrong shocks, but PS says the 412 is a universal shock and some bikes need the offset for clearance, and the offset is so small it does not matter. Well it matters to me, since I can envision poor performance and uneven wear on seals and the rubber bushings from the shocks moving out of alignment all the time, and from the rear the offset is clearly visible. This is an unacceptable design and I cannot recommend PS 412 shocks for any bike with the upper and lower shock mounts equi-distant form the centerline of the bike, such as a Triumph. There are better options from other manufacturers.
