Looks amazing, poor quality helmet for everyday riding
I really wanted to like this helmet. I was after a helmet different from the Japanese helmets I've had in the past. It has a great look that is much more on point than the other vintage inspired helmets offered these days (i.e that Bell disaster). Upon receiving the helmet, I was impressed with the paint quality (the first one I ordered had a paint flaw which was exchanged) and well-fitting face shield. Then I put the helmet on... I immediately noticed how uncomfortable this helmet is (in fairness, I was coming from a Shoei). The neck straps come through the ear holes and down your cheek which is very hard to get used to and irritating. The forehead pad will leave a nice red chafe mark on your forehead after a ride but the helmet head is nearly nonexistent, so that is nice.

After 3 rides with this helmet, the snaps that hold the peak in started to walk out of the helmet. I was real bummed about this. For almost 400, this helmet should be perfect in both fit and finish. It is far from that. Maybe I just got a bad one? I ended up returning the helmet because it's definitely a lot of money for a helmet with as many flaws as it has. Hopefully they can eventually nail down the quality issues as its a truly beautiful helmet.

Very comfortable and well fit
Very light and high quality for the price point. The understated look of a builtwell with the quality of a shoei. The only drawback I have is needing new sunglasses with more of a wrap as for me I seem to get a bit of wind in the eye, but that would be different for each person. I have a pretty narrow head, and this suits me much better than the gringo.

Quality
Looks and Feel: I have the Gringo and have tried on the Bullitt and this is the most comfortable out of them for me. You are getting a real quality helmet that looks, feels, and smells good. They really took their time and care into making this helmet top notch in its class. I have the white and when the sun hits it, it does have a shimmer which I like.

Functionality: Wind does get in my eyes a bit but i think a chin curtain would help that. Not the best at high speeds but i think its fine at 70. Comes with a visor that actually does help when the sun is high.

Overall you know what kind of helmet you are getting but you don't know the quality it is. I say this is 100% quality and to me that was worth the extra $$$.

Great Minimalist Helmet, visor lifts in strong winds
This helmet was actually my second choice, as the Biltwell Gringo seemed to be a better deal and had a style I was more interested in. However, the Gringo didn't fit my head shape so I went with the Nexx. I've only had the Nexx for a few weeks now, but here are my initial thoughts.

Pros:
- Stylish minimalist retro design
- Minimal Wind noise compared to my previous helmet (LS2 Strobe Modular)
- Tinted visor is great for sunny days
- Plenty of wind flow to the lower face area
- Sun Visor keeps the sun out of your face well
- Helmet feels high quality on the inside and out.

Cons:
- Sometimes the face shield lifts in high winds and high speeds (80 MPH+) . If the wind catches the visor at the right angle, such as when checking your blind spot, it will open up. This can be dangerous at freeway speeds.
- No vents for the top of your head. I don't sweat a lot, so 85 Degrees F is tolerable, but much hotter than that, and the ladies are gonna complain about the sweat when you make out after your romantic sunset rides.
- I would like to see the price tag a little lower. Though, I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off. This is definitely a quality helmet.

Neutral:
- A little wind is funneled under the chin bar. I haven't found this particularly horrible or distracting, but I imagine a bee could get sucked under there pretty easily.
- The Tinted lens is a little dark for night riding. It's definitely great to have for daytime riding, but perhaps including the clear shield from the factory would have been a better choice here. You can purchase the clear face shield for $50.
- Not many features, but that's what you expect with a retro helmet. It's there to protect your head and look good doing it, and that's it.

Fool me once...
This is my second review of the xg 100. First off let me sayi love the look and style of this lid. And I so wanted it to work out.

I'd ordered and received the Devon in April and while at first I was luke warm on fit, over time I really began to like it. However, I noticed a defect where the neck padding met the chinbar. It was minor, but enough to to send back, over time it would likely get worse.

Revzilla was awesome. They refunded and credited the helmet. So I ordered another, I'm white, the exact same size.

Well this time the helmet was too big. Are you kidding me? And there were two manufacturing defects, not just one. Again at the chin bar with the neck roll - sharp plastic sticking out. And just above the right temple there was some kind is pattern stained into the shell. Really?

I don't blame Revzilla, they are the middle man. I blame Nexx for crappy quality control. These are not cheap products, but my experience so far tells me they should be.

This is unfortunate because in the modernretro words there is not much out there that I think looks as cool.

So, fool me once, but after twice it RF1200 time!
