I could have built a static balancer, but I don't have the luxury called time.
Pretty simple static balancer. Folds up, so minimum garage space or closet space is used, you could probably store this on your bike. I did have a little going back and forth while positioning the weights, but I'm OCD (last 1/4 oz position).

Not recommended, but I did re-use my Fe sticky weights. How well they stick depends on how well you clean them and what double sided tape you use.

Does the job
It did the job it needed to do which was balancing my wheels. I would caution everyone to be careful with the little hex bolt that tightens the cones to the shaft as it strips very easily. Other then that it's great.

Super easy to use straight out the box. When your done it folds up and tucks away until its needed again. Worth every dollar!

Very pleased
I had been planning on purchasing one of these locally for less money, but heard so many stories of bent shafts out of the box. I went with this one and was not diappointed. Super easy to use and nice quality. Some mention the allen bolt is not easy to use, but put some oil on it and it works much better. This works great and folds down to nothing. Did balances on both of my newly installed tires yesterday and this worked great.

NO DUCATI REAR WHEELS
Heads up for any Ducatisti looking to do a wheel balance themselves. the rear wheel from most single sided swing arm(ducati) bikes will not fit on this stand.
my ratings are based on NO Experience. it doesnt work with my wheels , so i couldnt tell you if it balances wheels well.

Does not fit wheels from Single-sided swingarms
Chose this over the BikeMaster balancer, which specifically stated it was not compatible with single-sided swingarms. Since the Motion Pro did not have the same disclaimer, I bought it, only to find out it is definitely not compatible with the larger axle aperture. Called Motion Pro directly, who told me they don't make an adapter that will fit, so I have to send it back. Otherwise, the product seems well-made, and I liked the fact it cold fold down nice and small.

Trash. Wish I would have bought he Bike Master stand!
I got this and tried to balance my GSXR 600 front wheel after changing a tire. Yes, I followed the instructions. Everything was setup as it was supposed to be. Tapers were snugged up around the wheel.

The bearings were too sticky to let the wheel turn freely. I thought "Oh man is my wheel already perfectly balanced?!" Because the heaviest portion is supposed to find its way to the bottom. I even arbitrarily added 4 weights to a random spot to see if it would make the wheel move. It didn't. I could only turn the wheel by hand. The bearings were just binding stopping the wheel in random places regardless of weights, rendering this thing useless for balancing a wheel.

I had wasted my time taking my bike apart and putting it back together, just to need to pay someone to do it after anyway.

I contacted Motion Pro and after a week or so they responded and sent me new bearings. They turned better. After installing them, one of the bearings was binding a little again... I asked Motion Pro what they thought about that and asked if I should just send it in... 3 weeks later, no response. Wish I could return it, but I made the mistake of throwing the box away.

Waste of money.

Doesn't do the job
This unit comes with cones that measure approximately 31mm at their widest point. The company that makes the product doesn't put this information out, which seems like pretty important stuff. My rear tire has a center hole of 42mm, that means these cones are WAAAY too small to work on it. While I like the style and the way this unit folds, I found the bearings to be too stiff to complete the job on a wheel without its own bearings, as when I fabricated my own PVC adapter for my tire, the tire would seem to spin free, but when it stopped there was always friction even though nothing was rubbing.
