Good replacement on an Italian bike
Needed a replacement after a lowside took out my left footpeg. These were on the short list for adjustability but cost more than other options. Getting the mount on with the OEM spring was irritating, but past that, they went on easy.
I got the super grip rubberized pegs.
- Adjustment is simple: loosen the bolt and twist around. If you carry a toolkit, you probably already have the right size allen wrench in it (just need a long one for the peg itself).
- They don't dampen vibrations as well as the OEM pegs, but they're smaller and I no longer bang against them when pushing with my feet or backing up. I can at least pretend to flat foot the bike. Vibrations aren't bad, so its an even trade-off.
- For my bike, purchasing the extension arm was necessary. I might have been able to get a different bolt/nut setup to screw the peg on directly, but I admit to being too lazy to mess with it much. That extension arm, however, works perfectly for its purpose and is *required* for adjustability.
- As for durability, they haven't been scraped yet, so we'll see. I check all my easy-to-access bolts frequently, and these haven't loosened up at all from vibration.
- These come with covers for the end of the peg and the bolt on the extension arm. The peg covers are good and sit tightly. The extension arm cover has a tiny plastic plug that sits in the bolt's depression, but doesn't stay so well. Both of mine disappeared on my forty minute commute to work. Probably knocked them off with my toes.
- For the initial adjustment, I recommend getting the pegs to where they feel right just sitting, then packing the allen wrench and going for a ride. Stop and adjust as needed until perfect.

Pegs solve rider pain
I bought these adjustable pegs to lower the foot position on a 2008 Concours14 to accommodate my moderately long legs (33 inseam, 6'2" height.) On receipt, I noticed these are German made and appreciated the high quality machining and fit-and-finish that the internet could not convey. They were easily installed following an online instructional video. After installation, the shift lever was easily adjusted to the lower position; the brake pedal was trickier. I put these on just before an 850-mile trip. On first installation, I had a little compromise on the ideal position. I will need to make another adjustment.
These pegs (all three parts) seem a bit pricey, but they did solve the knee pain issue (which, for me, came about after about a half to one hour in the saddle.) Very pleased.

BEST ANSWER: Adding onto my original answer: My installation (KTM 1190 engine guard mounting) required the Footpeg Mounts. You should be able to use these w/o the MFW mounts if your bike is capable (description says bolts to "any M6 hole"). I would only use these as highway pegs - I would not use them as "stand on them" pegs.
What would you recommend for a 6 3" guy looking to gain leg room on my 2007 fz 1 ? What length extensions?

What size is the bolt that is issued with pegs?

BEST ANSWER: Sorry this took so long, I removed and measured the bolt and here is what I've come up with. The bolt head is showing a metric rating of 8.8 and it measures 1.25 inches overall length with 1.00mm threads and 6mm size diameter.
I have a yamaha r3, would this require footpeg mounts?

BEST ANSWER: R had to buy separate foot peg mounts to make it work. I absolutely love the pegs though.
