LighTech Chain Adjusters Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R / ZX-636

LighTech Chain Adjusters allow for quick and precise chain adjustments that makes chain adjustments a snap. Rather than guessing the axle’s position, micro measurements are now clearly shown on the laser-etched chain adjuster body. When you make an adjustment, there is a distinctive click from the adjusters. It's as simple as "3 clicks back on left side, 3 clicks back on right side" and off you go.

Specifically on an 09-14 Kawasaki ZX-6R, does the fitment note apply and does it mean that that the castle nut will not screw on far enough when mounting the Lightech TEZX609 Chain Adjuster? I have seen one reference for a ZX-10 that mentioned a new castle nut (Dorman 615-106 spindle nut) can solve this problem but have not seen any reference to a problem on a ZX-6R.

BEST ANSWER: I'm the original poster. I did end up having to order the Dorman spindle/castle axle nut because the stock nut would not go on far enough to allow cotter pin insertion. For anyone else considering this solution, be aware that the Dorman is a 36mm nut so you'll need a new socket to torque it properly. Also, at spec torque, the chain adjuster on the rider's right was deformed by the axle stop (the flared portion - yes, it was properly aligned) but remained functional. However, the marks on that right-side chain adjuster became difficult to read (both due to the deformation and also because they are mostly covered by the axle stop).
