So comfortable
I've owned knee pads/braces before. But they restricted range of motion and were hot and uncomfortable. Straps shifted and I just plain found them so irritating they never got used more than a couple of times. So when I was looking for a new set I knew I wanted strapless and flexibility. These knee guards delivered big time. They are unobtrusive and comfortable. The silicone bead at the top and at the kneecap worked flawlessly. They didn't shift out of place at all. And I forgot I was wearing them by the end of the day. Better to have some protection you always use than to have the best protection you rarely use.

Lightweight but solid protection
Fortunately I haven't tested the knee guards in a fall yet, but they seem like they would stay in place and dissipate any impact. They integrate well with the tops of my boots which was a problem with hard plastic guards. I have not yet tried them in hot weather, but they will certainly breathe as well or better than any hard plastic guards. Keep in mind that these are only for impact resistance, they will not keep your knee from twisting like a full on knee brace would. Leatt makes some very good products, and I would recommend these knee guards to anyone looking for lightweight, compact protection that does not interfere with your riding.

Too Expensive
These are simply too expensive for what they are.

Coverage for your knee is very tiny, so it leaves a lot of your knee still exposed (sides, lower patella region, etc).

Extremely comfortable and great airflow, but for two tiny little dinky knee pads that don't offer very much knee coverage, $79 is ridiculous.

I would have kept them if the price was lower or if the coverage of the knee area was broader.

So, sent them back.

Very Comfortable
You can probably already guess that these do not offer as much protection as other types of knee pads but hands down, they are the most comfortable. They slip on super quickly and breathe better than any pair of knee guards I have ever worn. They're better than than nothing and in a fall they do offer some minimal protection. Believe me, I fall a lot in the woods and these have already saved my knees more than once. I was willing to sacrifice a little more protection for a big step up in comfort and so far it has paid off.

I'd buy them again
These are a little pricier than what I would like to spend but it's worth it for having the piece of mind. They are decent at flowing air even through thick riding jeans but do get hot after a while (more to do with the jeans but still just so you know). I bought a size too small based on the measurements being right at the edge of the large, and the advise from other reviews and I wish I hadn't. Iv'e got bigger thighs and pretty huge calves and the silicone cuts into me pretty bad, but I still wear them so that should say something. Just a tip, when you put them on roll the top and bottom so the silicone is facing out and not on your leg, pull them into position and then roll them back so the silicone is on your leg. If you try and pull them up without doing this it will be very difficult and as a bonus you will rip out some leg hair in the process. I will probably buy them in a bigger size because I like them so much. I wear them on the weekends under my scorpion covert jeans and no one can tell I'm wearing any riding gear. I have other leatt knee pads too but they are bulky and obvious.

great knee protection option
These knee guards fit snug and comfortable and stay where they belong. Great under Kevlar jeans. I know use these in my motorcycle pants instead of using the pockets because there is no "float" with these the stay put, don't slide up or down or side to side. With regular pants or jeans you give up abrasion protection but with these you maintain some knee protection

Unwearable
This is a nice concept and the protection looks decent enough. They are easy to slip on an off and they fit nicely under your regular cut riding genes. So far so good.

The problem is, the bands at the top and bottom are so tight that they dig into your flesh. I don't mean slight discomfort. I mean outright pain that leaves deep marks in your skin, such that after a couple of hours they're unwearable. I thought it might be a sizing issue so I sized up. No luck.

I'm not sure why I'm the only one that's complained about this here so I might just be very unlucky (I'm certainly not especially sensitive to pain). But you've been warned!
