Great look, terrible fit
I ordered this kinda cautiously based on the other reviews about sizing. I am 5'10" 185 42" chest and went with the small medium. Abdomen fit is great with no beer gut here, however chest is 1-2 sizes too big. Material puffs out at chest and upper back. Neck hole is huge, however it still somehow rides up and presses my neck when sitting.

As good as I could expect
First let me say I am not your average sized man. I have a 53 inch chest but a 48 inch waist and a gut that is probably over 59 inches. So you can see fitting me is a bit of a challenge. I went to the Harley store looking for a leather vest. I find Harley clothes fit on the larger size so I expected to find a vest to fit. XL was tight in chest and could not zip it up. 2XL was perfect in chest area but way too tight in waist. 3XL was great in waist but much too large in chest. So I gave the Icon stripped a shot. While it is pretty tight in waist it was slightly large in chest. That being said it fit me better than any of the Harley vest I tried on and frankly felt better with better grade of leather and better made. I will say the adjustments on each side are great if you want to make the vest smaller or tighter. Worthless if you want to make the vest larger as the Velcro starts at the end of the strap so there is no more room for adjustment to allow more room for streatching. I may try to sew on some extra Velcro to allow vest to expand further. Great back armor and vest is not light but on the heavy duty side. As everyone else have mentioned because the upper chest runs on the large size it will certainly ride up on you chin and back. The rear of the vest is nice and low but front is somewhat short. All in all I expect to keep this vest as it is the best fit I have found and the quality is very high for the price. I am difficult to fit in any type of jacket so I can not expect much from a mass produced vest. I have a pretty big chest and shoulders and the vest is still slightly large on me. Keep that in mind on your sizing. If you have a normal waist not a big gut like me you should not have any issues. You can adjust the waist size area so focus upon the chest area which runs about one to one and a half size larger.

Not satisfied
I should have trusted the other reviews on this vest.....It is somewhat oversized and there seems to be way more room at the top around the neck and chest than there should be. When in a seated possession on the bike, I'm constantly pulling it down because the material bulks up and is very loose around the neck and shoulder area. If you pull it down past your butt way more that it should be and sit on it, it is okay. If you buy, get it at least one size smaller that you wear.

looks cool
I have wanted this vest for a long time. When I saw the price went down, I had to have. Was confused on the size from all the reviews , I am 6'2" 226lbs broad shoulders a bit of a gut. I ordered the L/XL it fits pretty good, not too tight over a t-shirt, perfect over a hoodie. Love the design.

Everyone's Right - It Fits Large
I should have listened to the community on this one - the fit is pretty generous. I'm 5'11" 220lbs and I figured the L-XL would probably be fine. What I found was that when I was standing it fit nicely but when I sat on the bike (Ultra Classic) it widened up in the shoulders enough that I knew it would irritate me if I rode with it. There's also a "pooch" that happens at the top of the collar at the zipper that I couldn't quite work out. If you look close at the demo video you may see what I mean.

I reluctantly returned the vest, but I really liked it. This is a high quality piece, which you should expect for the price. I couldn't knock any scores because I didn't get any experience with it. I decided to try out another vest to see about snugger collars (S&S Soul Shaker).

Thanks Revzilla, keep up the good work.

i like it
great for the hot days where a jacket is too much. love that it has the back pad in it. my only complaint, like others, is the neck being too big. sometimes when turning my head, my helmet catches the neckline. gets annoying fast.

Way to large, meant to wear over a jacket
I should have trusted the other reviews. The fit is extremely large in the chest shoulders area. I am 6'3" about 210 with broad shoulders and no gut. I thought I could fill out a small/medium based on the other reviews, but its not even close.

This vest was either designed poorly, or its meant specifically to be worn over a leather jacket; which makes sense, because the straps on the side are really only meant to expand if you have a belly or are wearing it over other leather.

Its a shame, because the vest looks killer and feels high quality.

Would it fit over a full leather suit .because of the air hump?
A shopper on Jul 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes it would depending on the size of the person vs best size if I loosen the Velcro it would fit over anything but if the user already has it loose with no more room for expansion then no it would be a problem. Hope this helps and FYI awesome vest!
What's the difference between the D30 stripped and regulator stripped?
A shopper on Jun 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Only difference is the logo. No other difference. The stripped is simply stripped of any logos except a very small one at the top of the back.
How hard would it be to sew in club patches?
Christopher H on Apr 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It wouldn't be too hard for someone who knew what they were doing. I wouldn't do it myself, as you have some mesh to cut through and resew (if you care about the mesh that is). Bottom line, if you have a tailor/seamstress do it, no problem.
Can the D3O back protector be removed?
