Derived from non-Newtonian tech, D3O is soft and pliable at rest, but becomes rigid when force is introduced. It's the best of both worlds. Ultimate comfort while its sitting on your back, rigid armor if you take a spill. You get more impact protection per square inch than pretty much any other kind of armor, all while minimizing bulk. 

The Icon D3O Back Protector will fit any jacket that came with a Dual Density Back Pad. The shape is a little different, but it'll still fit.
