First ride impressions
First I would like to say that I really like this jacket and therefore I have given it 5 stars.

I cannot fairly rate "protection & durability" since 1. I just got it and 2. hope I don't have to find out about protection.

"Features"? hmm, It has pockets, nice airflow, snap adjustments, etc...

I got size LRG and I feel like it is slightly big (I'm 5,9, 185 pounds, 40" chest) but I think that's going to be a plus if I have to have a hoodie or the waterproof liner that comes with it.

It does come with a back protector (foam), not the best but it's still a lot better than no protection and CE approved Elbow and shoulder protection.

I highly recommend this jacket as I rode in sunny weather 85 degrees in the shade with no problem.

A Breeze for Safe Summer Riding
Before getting into the review, a bit of advice (which some of you are likely already hip to): *don't* start shopping for Summer riding gear once Summer is well underway. Seems the Zilla was fairly cleaned out not not only the seriously high-value mesh riding jackets, but even some of the pricier stuff was out-of-stock as well. I should know this by now, but...

Luckily, they had this jacket in stock - not certain how I overlooked this the first few times I searched here, but there it was. It appears on the surface to share some of the DNA from Fly's Flux Air jacket, which I was originally set on buying. (As another reviewer pointed out, the fact that the Turbine uses a similar Hydraguard zip-out rain liner seems to bear this out.) Naturally, I jumped on this before *it* too was sold out.

As per RevZilla usual, the jacket arrived a day ahead of schedule, which worked out great since I had a trip to take on the Vespa and I'd know there and then if this was a good idea, although putting on right after unboxing left me with a good feeling: fit was pretty much spot-on, with sleeve length just a tad long, which actually works out well. The first ride out in it was on a not-too-humid 75°F morning - not exactly an acid test for the thing, but I loved the overall fit and comfort. The following ride was an 86-mile r/t ride to a a scooter-fest, and the day was both hotter and considerably more humid, with the threat of a thunderstorm thrown in for good measure. Yes, air *seriously* moves through this jacket, almost shockingly so. I never understood what others meant when they'd tell me how riding with a mesh jacket on a hot day was actually MORE comfy-cool, not just safer, than rolling in a t-shirt. Now I get it

Besides comfort and safety, there's convenience: I wanted something with that all-important Napoleon pocket for my phone, and the Turbine doesn't disappoint: I can even fit my portable charger together with my phone in the pocket without things feeling awkward. Outside pockets are also good, and the zipper action on all three seem smooth and solid.

The snap cuffs aren't snug unless you have fairly beefy wrists, but given the temps this jacket is meant to be ridden in, I doubt this should be a problem. (I anticipate zipping in the rain liner will adequately close that gap to keep rain from running up arms from the cuffs.) I've yet to find a reason to zip in the rain liner, but I'm not anticipating anything untoward, barring any defects. (Note: I've had the jacket for exactly one week, and while I've been actively putting it through its paces, time alone will tell just how well it does in terms of wear-and-tear.) Looks? Very, very nice: I was trying for something with lighter-color panels (well, anything but hi-viz), but I can easily deal with black, since it seems to have little effect in terms of heat out in the sun, near as I can tell, and the Turbine *does* have reflective piping to keep you from going absolutely stealth at night.

In all, a really nice-fitting, appropriately breezy jacket that complements my not-quite-four-season RevIt! sport-touring jacket. For a hair over a hundred bucks, I can't see how you could go wrong choosing it. But, if you need one now (it's late July as I write this), I suggest you get a move on - as the saying goes, these won't last long.

Great warm weather jacket
So far (about 3 or 4 rides) really pleased. Definitely flows a lot of air & is comfortable with temps in the high 20's (C, 80's F). Nice that it comes with a liner which would come in handy if using this jacket when it gets a bit colder or rainy. Haven't tested the protection (hopefully won't have to, lol) but looks ok. There is a fairly thin back protector in place, but presumably not CE Approved; bether than nothing though. Overall happy with purchase.

Quality Warm Weather Jacket
I found this jacket to be great for the midwestern summer riding season. Air flow is top notch, very little sweating in this jacket on the hottest days. It comes with padding on the shoulders, elbows, and back. All of those are removable. I ride a cruiser and this jacket goes well with that styling. I don't see this being a jacket that you could use once the temps begin to get into the low 50's F, as it offers nothing in the means of warmth. It is strictly a warm weather jacket. All in all, I'm very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone who wants coverage and protection during warm to hot weather riding.
