Givi XS320 Tanklock Tankbag Honda Africa Twin / Kawasaki Versys 650 2015-2017 Videos

Givi XS320 Xstream Tanklock Tank Bag Honda Africa Twin CRF1000L / Kawasaki Versys 650

The Givi TankLock system for tank bags promotes the elimination of all kinds of straps, or magnetic limpets, previously used to fasten the bag to the bike. Thanks to a small ring that is installed on the tank cap, incorporated with the unique structure of the base of the bag, the bag can now be attached by simply aligning it to the ring and pressing lightly until you hear the classic "click."

Equally easy is the removal of the bag; to release it you just pull the red lever located in the base.

This is a bag that is specifically designed to match the contours of the Africa Twin and Versys 650. For installation, a Givi Tanklock Bike Specific Flange is required but sold separately.

Nice tankbag, but requires a different tanklock ring!
Givi lists this tank bag as being specifically for the Honda Africa Twin and the Kawasaki Versys 650 2015+. But be aware you can't buy the regular tanklock ring for the Kawasaki Versys! Normally the Versys requires a BF04 ring, but to use this tank bag you need the (new & hard to find) BF26. The difference is the BF04 "points" (by that I mean the opening in the flange) backwards, and the BF26 "points" sideways. So this tankbag actually will snap onto a BF04, but you have to have the bag sideways to do it.

Other than that problem, it seems to be a very well made tank bag. The zippers all work excellent, the pockets are a nice size, and overall it feels like a high quality bag. Its a great size, I can easily see my Versys 650 gauges over the top of it.

Works, but with a hitch
Works fine, until you install bar risers on the africa twin. One inch bar risers will hit the release mechanism when the bars are turned and cause the bag to release, now I own a useless tank bag and ring. Hope others can learn from my mistake

Fits on Tiger Explorer 1200 - With Modification
So, I took a chance after talking to the Revzilla tech folks as to whether this tanklock tank bag would fit on a bike besides the Africa Twin/Kawasaki Versys. I wanted this exact tank bag for my Tiger Explorer XC, and not the Givi XS308 because I didn't like the fanny pack design. After talking with the Revzilla guy, he thought it *might* work on any tanklock flange, but wasn't certain, given that Givi specifically calls out the Honda and Kawasaki only. I already have a tanklock ring on my Tiger Explorer, so I bought the XS320 with high hopes.

After a week's wait for shipping, I mounted the XS320 on my Tiger Explorer to find that it does indeed click in place on a non-Honda/Kawasaki tanklock ring, BUT ..... it's clocked 90 degrees to the left. Yep, the tank bag hung off the left side of the gas tank, and since the Tiger Explorer tank ring is keyed and I also wanted to use my smaller Givi tanklock tank bag without having to rotate the ring every time, I decided to modify the XS320 to fit. The tank bag's mounting flange is held on by 4 stainless M4 bolts and nuts, a simple Phillips screwdriver is all that's needed to undo the flange. I made the decision to keep this bag forever, and drilled 4 new holes in the bottom of the tank bag 90 degrees from original, and buttoned it back up. Tank bag fits perfectly on my Tiger Explorer now, and I don't have to put up with the fanny pack design of the XS308. Took all but 20min of careful planning, and the flap inside the tank bag covers the mounting bolts and old holes so you can't see it.

Other modifications included taking a razor blade to the stupid inside curtain, and I took sharp scissors to the safety strap on the front. Needless to say, I'm keeping this bag lol. Works great now though. Charge hole in the front is priceless for keeping phones/tablet/cameras charged on the go, front pouch holds my cash and ID, side pouch 1 holds my cliff bar, and side pouch 2 holds my battery pack and a few pens just in case.

Unfortunately I did not purchase this from Revzilla after comparing prices locally. I am stationed overseas, and it's cheaper for me to buy this Italian-made Givi product locally in Europe. Revzilla stated they would not price-match international prices.

Good Fit
Its Givi so the instructions are left to some interpretations. other wise, the gas flange was easy to mount just had to figure which way to face the gap. Bag itself, nice size and no interference with the instrument display. zipper togs are glove friendly. No issues with refueling. The safety strap holds the bag to the bike so don't have to place it on the ground.

I like the features and the size. I lready have GIVI side cases and a waterproof bag but in a recent trip I realized how convenient a tank bag is for keeping small valuable things and gear at hand.
I didn´t want a tank bag that had to be held in place with straps. I think I´ll enjoy the quick relase mechanism.
