Givi XS307 Xstream Tanklock Tank Bag
The Givi TankLock system for tank bags promotes the elimination of all kinds of straps, or magnetic limpets, previously used to fasten the bag to the bike. Thanks to a small ring that is installed on the tank cap, incorporated with the unique structure of the base of the bag, the bag can now be attached by simply aligning it to the ring and pressing lightly until you hear the classic "click."
Equally easy is the removal of the bag; to release it you can just pull the red lever located in the base. The mounting rings are sold separately and vary by the fuel cap type, and you need to check the compatibility list to verify which ring is for use with your model of motorcycle.

Reviews & Questions
After 2500 miles it's worked as advertised! The release lever is in a natural position on the right side of the bag and can be operated by feel. The bag mates to the lock ring with a reassuring "click". It holds all of the stuff that I carried in the old BMW bag. I used the included yellow rain cover in a frog strangler of a storm and it worked perfectly. I like the removable map case, obvious good build quality. The mounting ring on the bottom of the bag is adjustable by 2 inches or so making it possible to customize the fore/aft position on your bike. All of this at less than half the cost of an OEM bag...and no straps...no paint burnishing.

The tank ring took a few minutes to install, and does not stick up very far. No problem refueling the tank with the ring installed.
The bag is the perfect size for storing items for quick access. Even fully loaded, the bag does not touch the tank. I like the tank ring mount, as it will not scratch my bike, and I won't have to be concerned about magnets erasing my credit cards if stored in the bag. No need to dismount the bike to get to items in the bag.
There are a couple of things I might change; the second clear-window tablet pouch seems superfluous, a single, larger map pocket that would fit a paper map or a tablet would be sufficient, but I don't see the need for two map pockets. And the safety strap, while a good idea, could be designed and engineered a little better. Rather than having a sewn on strap, I'd like to see a few more buckles incorporated that would give the rider more options for securing the bag. I didn't want to cut it off so I wrapped one side up tightly with zip ties and used the other as a safety strap utilizing one of the female buckle parts on the bag as a receptacle for the strap's male buckle. This won't work if you're using the tablet pouch, but as I've said, I don't see the need for two pouches.
The draw-string bag inside the tank bag is a little cumbersome to use and I've read many reviews where the user has cut this out completely. It does serve a purpose to keep the contents dry when the rain bonnet is not in use, but it's a bit of a hassle.
As for overall durability, time will tell. I've had other Givi products and similar luggage and I've been generally happy with the build quality and the durability. I log thousands of miles per year and have had several pieces of good luggage last six or seven seasons and I find that acceptable.
A side note: I ride Moto Guzzi's and Givi does not make a quick-release tank ring for any Moto Guzzi models, but there is an engineer in Turkey who has created tank rings for several MG models and the quality is top-notch. Search for Givi Tank Ring for Moto Guzzi on ebay:
The first thing I noticed when I got this was the quality. It is very well made, and has great features. It comes with a see through map section, an additional see through tablet section that is detachable, and a hi-viz yellow rain cover. The bag also has a built in rain cover in the main compartment.
The locking mechanism on the bottom of the bag is adjustable, and allows you to move the bag closer to, or further away from the rider. I have mine set to the furthest position away from me (as you can see in the photo below). The flange is easily installed, even for a completely mechanically inept individual such as myself. It took about 5-10 minutes to install the flange on the tank.
The bag itself locks in without any effort, and when the disconnect lever is pulled, the bag comes off just as easily. The bag also comes with a strap that wraps around the handlebars as an added security feature, so that is the lock failed the bag would not go bouncing down the highway at speed.
I also like that the bag is expandable, but even when expanded it's not too big/bulky. Also, when fully expanded the bag does not flop around, or lose it's rigidity. My only complaint about the bag is that I wish it had a divider inside the main compartment. One that could be adjusted to different configurations depending on what you may be carrying. This, however, is just a personal thing, and I would highly suggest anyone looking for a good quality locking tank bag consider the Givi XS307.
***Side note: The only reason I didn't give this bag an excellent rating for durability is because I've only had it a few weeks, and I haven't used but a handful of times as of yet. I will be taking a 3 week cross-country trip in June, and will be able to give any other +/- I see with the bag.***
The bag itself is solidly manufactured. The fit and finish if each seam echoes the quality you'd expect from Givi.
The exterior waterproof bag fits snuggly and showed no flapping or ballooning even at speed. (I rolled my eyes at the day-glo green at first glance but then again, in a wet weather / low visibility situation, its just one more way to make you stand out to drivers on the road.#
The inclusion of a map / tablet pouch as part of the purchase is a welcome surprise as typically, competitors would sell it as an option. The only minor point is that it has a tendency to flap in the wind.
It isn't mentioned in the description but this bag does allow you to adjust the mount forward or back from center.
Lastly, Givi doesn't list Concours C-14 as available for use with this bag but that isn't the case. Use the BF-04 tank ring mount and you'll be fine. #For models 2010 and up that is, as the tank mounted storage bin prevents mounting of the bag.)
The only thing I could say is that you may want to consider the large bag once you realize the extra space is nice to have.

Also, the carrying strap should be detachable. I have to zip tie the strap and it just dangles in the front of the bag.
But overall, I like this product and it is a good buy for the money.
An issue that I did not anticipate, is that the iPad shuts down if it gets hot. If I am in the sun on a warm day, the iPad display will shut down pretty soon. I am not sure if the bluetooth still functions, I'll know in a week or two once I get my new Sena 10U operating.
The bag never touches the tank - very secure and a retention strap goes around the bar mount.
Very nice and better than magnets or strap mount - hope that this helps.
