Reviews & Questions
Holds a 2XL helmet with ease, with room to spare.
Routinely carry 2 gallons of milk in it, along with other items from the grocery store. I interchange the case between my Motorcycle and Burgman 650... Twist key, push button and off it goes.

Nice box needs another part to mount firmly in my opinion, plan on another $72 if you run into this same thought process or mount discussion.
First, usability, I have been using this everytime I get on the bike for the last 4 months and it has seen about 1200 or so miles and have had no major failures of any kind. Normally I stick my backpack in it on my way to work. I am able to cram my Alpinestars Parlor boots, Tourmaster overpants (sans liners) and my Fly Racing mesh jacket in it as well this typically takes some careful fiddling but once everything is in there it is secure. Given I have an NC700X I am able to put my helmet in the frunk with my gloves and sunglasses and fully contain my gear on my bike. I bought this initially so I wouldn't have to lock my helmet to the bike when I took my wife for a ride and we stopped for some reason or other and hers was placed in the frunk. She also didn't like wearing her jacket into restaurants. The system now is My helmet in the frunk and her's in the topcase with her jacket and I wear my jacket. Her Fly racing Jacket and small helmet fit really easily in the topcase.
The included mounting plate did work with the Givi Top case racks (Givi 1111FZ) However, two of the rubber nubs that were included with this rack have gone missing. I am under the impression that they went absent on an occasion where I took the top case off for a ride doesn't cause a usability issue but annoying none the less.
Unloaded and at low speed the top case moves around a bit and rattles and shakes. I am unsure of if the more robust mounting plate would help but I am considering purchasing the accessory in the future.
Great usable everyday size not too big to overwhelm the areo at highway speed but not so small that all it holds is a helmet. The case has good fit and finish and all of the angles textures latches are positive and clean. That being said this is still an inexpensive topcase so it does have some flex while it is open and if you cram it full of stuff, and I really mean cram, it may be hard to align the lid to the base and get it closed.
It seems to be fairly durable given it is effectively a rubber-maid container. My reservation is the mounting latch on the case uses a metal pawl which engages with a plastic stud on the mounting plate. Over time this is going to wear and wear quickly being a metal vs plastic situation. I noticed this initially and have been careful to push the release button in when placing the case back on the rack and only releasing the button after the case is fully seated on its rack and testing for positive engagement to hopefully cut down the wear as much as I can.
Overall it is a get what you pay for situation but it has been easy to use and reliable my goal was to get a top case system for under 200, that didn't happen but the extra it cost has been worth it so far.

Search for GIVI rack for the BMW F650GS, get both...then it will not be an issue.
Hope that helps..
