Givi Case
Great case, super simple to install, it would be nice if they included the light kit for the case.
Holds a 2XL helmet with ease, with room to spare.
Routinely carry 2 gallons of milk in it, along with other items from the grocery store. I interchange the case between my Motorcycle and Burgman 650... Twist key, push button and off it goes.

Good fit on a KLR.
This is my second Givi box. They make good products. It works as it should. I mounted it, using their locking bracket, to my stock rack. I replaced the KLR front rack bolts with longer ones, and ran them through the Givi bracket. I made my own straps for the rear. Sometimes things just don't line up perfectly, which requires a little McGivering. Once sorted, it is quite secure. Same size as my old 1150RT box.

Good size on a FZ6
They make these much larger but I couldn't imagine going bigger on my FZ6. Fits my XL helmet easily with room to spare. Affordable compared to the Monokey offerings but you can tell the latch / plastic is a bit more affordable, as you'd expect. I was hoping to save some money by using the generic mount that is included but it wouldn't fit with the Givi racks. You'd figured they'd make that work, but had to purchases the M5M instead.

Not fitting well on DL650 2012
Looks like a nice box. Hinge looks kind of cheap but with it closed it will be fine. Tried to mount on 2012 DL650 Vstrom and the included mount might line up if I put the mount pretty far back hanging off the rear. I ride solo and prefer the box closer to the seat so the weight is not hanging off the rear. Going to buy the SR3101 to mount it up and if that wont give me a good position I will drill the factory rack. Even if it was further back the factory rack does not give a good spread of locations and the mounts IMO should be spread out to not act as a fulcrum.
Nice box needs another part to mount firmly in my opinion, plan on another $72 if you run into this same thought process or mount discussion.

Great size everyday standalone topcase.
This is a pretty good product but I do have some reservations about it. Admittedly I am likely using this topcase for reasons above and beyond what it was initially designed for given the included mounting plate i.e. at 70+ mph on the highway with an 8lb back pack in it.

First, usability, I have been using this everytime I get on the bike for the last 4 months and it has seen about 1200 or so miles and have had no major failures of any kind. Normally I stick my backpack in it on my way to work. I am able to cram my Alpinestars Parlor boots, Tourmaster overpants (sans liners) and my Fly Racing mesh jacket in it as well this typically takes some careful fiddling but once everything is in there it is secure. Given I have an NC700X I am able to put my helmet in the frunk with my gloves and sunglasses and fully contain my gear on my bike. I bought this initially so I wouldn't have to lock my helmet to the bike when I took my wife for a ride and we stopped for some reason or other and hers was placed in the frunk. She also didn't like wearing her jacket into restaurants. The system now is My helmet in the frunk and her's in the topcase with her jacket and I wear my jacket. Her Fly racing Jacket and small helmet fit really easily in the topcase.

Product quality.
Problems;
The included mounting plate did work with the Givi Top case racks (Givi 1111FZ) However, two of the rubber nubs that were included with this rack have gone missing. I am under the impression that they went absent on an occasion where I took the top case off for a ride doesn't cause a usability issue but annoying none the less.

Unloaded and at low speed the top case moves around a bit and rattles and shakes. I am unsure of if the more robust mounting plate would help but I am considering purchasing the accessory in the future.

Pros,
Great usable everyday size not too big to overwhelm the areo at highway speed but not so small that all it holds is a helmet. The case has good fit and finish and all of the angles textures latches are positive and clean. That being said this is still an inexpensive topcase so it does have some flex while it is open and if you cram it full of stuff, and I really mean cram, it may be hard to align the lid to the base and get it closed.
It seems to be fairly durable given it is effectively a rubber-maid container. My reservation is the mounting latch on the case uses a metal pawl which engages with a plastic stud on the mounting plate. Over time this is going to wear and wear quickly being a metal vs plastic situation. I noticed this initially and have been careful to push the release button in when placing the case back on the rack and only releasing the button after the case is fully seated on its rack and testing for positive engagement to hopefully cut down the wear as much as I can.

Overall it is a get what you pay for situation but it has been easy to use and reliable my goal was to get a top case system for under 200, that didn't happen but the extra it cost has been worth it so far.

A recent day trip with a cargo net led me to this purchase. Needed to upgrade more storage/ travel options. The question will be is if I add side bags.

Universal adapter plate so no additional expense. I need a secure way to store my helmet on the bike while it is parked for 4 days at the airport every week. This appears to be the best option.

I like the Givi cases, and the Tech series is less round than the other monolock series. I have a motorcycle, and I don't want it to look like a scooter.
H O on Sep 22, 2014
Good looks to match my Triumph Explorer - not too rounded like the other cases and has a bit of a "tech" look to it. Also, that perfect size between the cases that are too small to even hold a single helmet and the cases that look like AWACS saucers!

Does the case require the key to be able to unlock it from the mount? Or can the button itself just be pushed and the case be removed?
ThomasJ on Sep 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The key must be inserted and turned to the unlock position before the release button can be pressed. Additionally, the key cannot be removed in the unlock position. The case must be locked before the key can be removed. Sometimes it's a little annoying but I understand the security aspect.
What are the internal dimensions and how rectangle is it? Can I fit a 19X11 inch laptop?
A C on Jun 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, it's not rectangle and no the laptop won't fit. It's shape is more oval with rounded corners and it tappers down smaller at the bottom. The widest part of the opening is about 18" at the front and gets smaller fast toward the back.
Does V-Strom DL650 2012 > need extra mounting hardware?
A shopper on Mar 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It shouldn't. The case comes with an adapter plate and hardware that mounts to most existing racks. I don't have a 2012, but I have mounted this adapter to a stock 2004 DL650 & a 2003 DL1000, and most recently the accessory rack on a Yamaha FJ-09, although the Yamaha required drilling into plastic.(or using longer nuts than provided). So, like I said, probably not, but the 2012 model is different, so I can't be 100% sure.
does it fit to a bmw f650gs 2002 whit out making any modifications?
A S on Nov 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought the Top Case Rack and the Case from GIVI, once the rack was installed the Top Case fits very nicely. I do not know what it would take to mount it without the GIVI rack.
Search for GIVI rack for the BMW F650GS, get both...then it will not be an issue.
Hope that helps..
I'm purchasing the GIVI B37 for the back of my 2008 Triumph Sprint ST1050 which already has the grab bars to attach factory panniers. What mounting bracket/plate will best mount this to my bike? I want to balance the weight better and have a better mount than the universal mount that comes with it.
A shopper on May 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Comes with a universal mounting plate
CAN I INSTALL THIS TOP CASE IN A G 650 GS BMW? IF IS NOT POSSIBLE PLEASE RECOMEND ME OTHER MODEL PLEASE
A shopper on May 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This top case comes with mounting hardware: a plate that the case hooks on to, and 4 J hooks that can attach the plate to a luggage rack. So as long as your GS has some sort of rear rack, you should be fine.
