Givi AF3105 Airflow Windscreen Suzuki V-Strom DL1000

This stylish, well-constructed replacement windscreen features improved height and shape with top-notch quality. Mounts in minutes using stock fasteners. Features clear tint and precision-cut shape. Specific sliding wind-screen, transparent, complete with fitting kit. Maximum height 50cm (12 cm of extension) width 44cm

The adjustable spoiler allows the rider on the fly to easily and quickly make adjustments. Made of transparent polycarbonate, the adjustable spoiler is infinitely adjustable along the 4.7" (12cm) of travel. Once the desired setting has been selected a simple and secure clamp will keep it in place.

The design of the AIRFLOW system creates an aerodynamic effect that eliminates turbulence, allowing for maximum protection from wind thus reducing rider fatigue.

Another important feature is the ability to reduce AIRFLOW to the rider to increase driving safety while raining: the "spoiler effect" reduces and, can at times, eliminate rain from collecting on the visor and reducing vision. During the warmer days the AIRFLOW spoiler, can easily be removed allowing travel with only the lower part of the windshield as well.

Features:

  • Specific adjustable sliding wind-screen
  • Transparent
  • Comes complete with fitting kit
  • Polycarbonate construction
  • Dimensions: 50cm (12 cm of extension) H x 44cm W

Solved all air problems on 2014 V strom
I have 2014 Vstrom 1000 adventure that came with the upgrade touring windscreen, the only time it blocks the wind is when you are not moving. Although this windscreen looks like it belongs on a scooter in Italy, it solved all wind problems completely! Highly recommend this for any motorcycle. One warning tho do not adjust while riding on freeway because there is no stop on the airfoil and as you pull it up you will pull it out of the channel and see it bouncing down the road in your mirrors. Fortunately Revzilla has the replacements in stock.

Best money you can spend for a windshield.
Easily adjustable and no wind noise, buffeting or vibration. Should be standard on every vstrom. I've done about 400 miles so I don't no about long term durability but the fit and finish are great and it should last.

Does what it's supposed to do
The stock screen on my V-Strom was causing some buffeting at highway speeds. The defacto solution to this problem on all the internet forums is the Givi Airflow. I ordered one and installed it. Very easy job. Bolts straight up to the factory location.

I went for a ride and the first thing I noticed is quiet still air. That's exactly what the screen is supposed to do. The only downside is that on hot days, I wasn't getting much cooling breeze. I did a little experiment and removed the top portion of the screen. Problem solved. More wind, more noise, more cooling...but no nasty buffeting. So it's like having two screens in one. A warm weather fly screen and a cool weather/long distance windscreen.

Perhaps a necessity on DL1000's
OEM screen on 2014 DL1000 sucked for my 6-3 frame. Casual riding at speeds over 45 felt like I was going rounds with Ali. Bought this based off reviews on strom forums and the difference is night and day. This eliminated 90% of the buffeting. I added some mirror extenders from adventure tech and buffeting is gone. If you're looking at this for buffeting, chances are you're going to be extremely satisfied with this purchase.

Outstanding
I had the infamous head buffeting on my second gen V-Strom with the touring screen. I replaced it with a V-Stream, and still had buffeting. Cut it down, still had buffeting. Awful. Buffeting bad enough to shake my vision.
The Givi may look a little weird, but I don't care. It works extremely well. I have it mounted at the lowest Suzuki mounting holes, and with the screen all the way down, the air stream is at the top of my helmet. Line of sight for me is about 15 feet in front of the bike. If it's raining, I can raise it up, and the ran goes over my head. It doesn't give as much side protection as the National, but that's what waterproof gear is for. I couldn't be more pleased with this setup.

Fantastic purchase
I installed this on my 2014 vstrom dl 1000 and could not be happier. It has plenty of adjustment to suit taller riders (i'm 5'11" and i ride with it on the lowest setting). I have had it on for nearly a year now and couldnt be happier. No buffeting at any speed experienced so far, even when riding in a strong crosswind. It's nearly as quiet behind this windscreen with my modular open as with it closed. Fantastic product by Givi.

Very Happy With This Screen!
I had the typical frustrations of buffeting and noise with the stock screen on my 2014 DL1000. I still wear earplugs on longer rides, but this screen results in dramatically lower levels of noise and the buffeting is all but gone. The ability to now adjust both the angle and height of the screen will be great depending on whether I'm cruising or enjoying a bit more of a spirited ride. This is my first Givi product and I'm very pleased with the quality. No issues with install and Goo Gone removes the sticker glue without any harm to the screen. This product is a substantial improvement over the stock windscreen!

Highly recommend
Tried a couple of things on my VSTROM that didn't do much for me until I tried the Givi Airflow. Love the height adjustability. Easy to install. Seems to be well made. No turbulence issues. Have ridden with it through a good variety of conditions and no disappointments. Would definitely recommend and buy one again.

Noise reducer
I bought this Air Flow not because I was experiencing buffeting with the stock windscreen but because the noise was just too much .Something that I noticed from the first test ride. The stock was louder than my Madstad equipped WeeStrom. So after reading many reviews the Air Flow was purchased from Revzilla .Installation was a breeze and be aware that you must use the rubber bushings in the stock windscreen as they do not come with the Givi. Anyway the Air Flow is way quieter than the stock or the Madstad .I have it in the lowest mounting holes and lowest height with loads adjustability if necessary .I am 5' 7" and am just seeing over the screen on its bottom setting .Finally I can hear myself think over 60 mph

Looks good, works well
I bought a 2014 DL1000AA, which came with both standard and touring windscreens. I hated both of them-- couldn't find a sweet spot. I had a Madstad bracket on my DL650, so I ordered one for the DL1000, and tried it, with both Suzuki screens and the Madstad screen. Still hated them. The DL1000 windshield mount has built in adjustable tilt, so all I really wanted was the vertical adjustment, which I found in the Airflow.
I currently ride with the Airflow in the lowest mount, least tilt, and lowest rise. This gives me a gentle breeze in my Shoei Neotec helmet with my visor raised, and when the weather occasions, I can adjust the tilt and rise to create a pocket.
My only complaint about the windshield is the headlight glare-- GIVI tinted the base of the lower shield, but not the upper shield, so it catches and reflects the headlight. I figure this winter I'll tint the bottom of the upper shield to reduce the glare effect.

I wanted a better shield than the factory, or the V-Stream.

Night and day difference between this and OEM windshield on '14 dl1000. I'm 6-3 and this alone eliminated 90% of helmet turbulence. Throw in mirror extenders and now I only feel turbulence on windy days.

Great addition to the bike, I am a big guy (6'3) and I can keep the buffeting over my helmet with this screen. Easy to install and easy to adjust.
