Garmin Zumo 595LM Motorcycle GPS

Premium Motorcycle GPS for New Adventures in Riding

  • Glove-friendly, sunlight-readable 5-inch dual-orientation touchscreen with rugged design for harsh weather (IPX7)
  • Garmin Adventurous Routing finds curvy or hilly roads; limits major highways
  • Rider alerts for sharp curves, state helmet laws, speed cameras and more
  • Bluetooth for hands-free calling and smartphone notifications right on your zūmo screen
  • Control music from MP3 player or smartphone; stream Pandora and Spotify music services

Built for Adventure, Born to Ride

Featuring Garmin Adventurous Routing options for those twisty, hilly, terrain-hugging rides you love, zūmo 595LM is the motorcycle navigator “built to thrill.” Its large, glove-friendly 5.0-inch high-res touchscreen can be viewed in landscape or portrait mode. And transflective technology gives it a bright, crisp color display that reduces glare and is easy to read in sunlight.

The Benefits of Hands-free Calling

Sync your zūmo with a compatible smartphone² and a Bluetooth-enabled compatible headset or helmet (sold separately), and you can make and receive wireless calls without having to remove your gloves or helmet. Safely stow your phone in a pocket or saddlebag, and still have the benefit of hands-free calling without diverting your attention from the road. You can also receive customizable smart notifications³ for calls, texts, app alerts and more that appear right on your navigation display.

Ride Smarter with Your Smartphone

What’s happening on the road ahead? zūmo 595LM can connect you to live weather radar and traffic information via the wireless Smartphone Link app. This app also enables LiveTrack, a nifty feature that lets friends track your whereabouts whenever you’re out on a ride.

Enjoy Some Traveling Music

Want to take your own soundtrack along for the ride? Your zūmo also lets you control music and media from a compatible MP3 player or smartphone, right on your touchscreen display — and you can even stream the playlists you love from popular Pandora and Spotify music services.

Keep a Sharper Lookout with Rider Alerts

To enhance road awareness and encourage a safer ride, zūmo 595LM  provides helpful alerts for sharp curves ahead, speed changes, railroad and animal crossings, school zones and more. Additionally, you’re notified when you need to check state helmet laws — or when you’re about to drive the wrong way on a one-way street. You also receive alerts for nearby red light and speed cameras¹. Plus, for longer rides, a fatigue warning4 will even suggest break times and potential rest areas worth considering after hours on the road. The zūmo Up Ahead feature lets you easily see places of interest and milestones along your route, without leaving the map view on your navigation display. Plus, Easy Route Shaping lets you add a point on the map to adjust your route, so you can ride through preferred areas or follow specific roads.

No More Running on Empty

A built-in trip computer with digital fuel gauge comes standard with your zūmo 595LM. So it’s easy to estimate how many miles you can ride before you’ll be running on empty. Dynamic fuel stop alerts actually prompt you when it’s time to refuel and even provide gas station location options. A helpful speed limit indicator lets you know when it’s time to throttle down. Plus, a digital compass display and a database of motorcycle-specific points of interest (POIs) are on hand to help you locate cycle repair services, dealers and more. There’s also a Service History Log on your zūmo to help you keep track of service dates, mileage and performed maintenance on your bike.

Guidance Using Recognizable Landmarks

Garmin Real Directions on the zūmo 595LM virtually redefine the concept of “spoken turn-by-turn directions.” In addition to speaking street names, your zūmo offers guidance using recognizable landmarks, buildings and traffic lights (e.g., “Turn right after the red building”).  And thanks to Foursquare data, zūmo is preloaded with millions of more new and popular places to explore. In addition, the Garmin Direct Access feature helps simplify your navigation to select complex destinations, like malls and airports, by providing detailed location information once you reach the recommended entrance. For example, “Arriving at Woodfield Mall. Foot Locker is inside, on level two.”

Lifetime Map Updates

zūmo 595LM includes free map updates5 for the useful life of your device, so routes reflect the most up-to-date points of interest and maps available.

Navigation Tools

PhotoReal Junction View displays realistic views of junctions and interchanges on your route to ease navigation through complex interchanges. A brightly colored arrow on the zūmo display, along with helpful voice prompts, will indicate the proper lane position needed for your next turn or exit. zūmo 595 displays 3D Terrain and elevation information. There’s also a TracBack feature on zūmo that allows you to navigate the same route, in reverse, for your return trip.

Tire Pressure Monitoring

For added protection on the road, zūmo 595LM is compatible with the Garmin Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor (TPMS, sold separately). One TPMS is required for each tire and will work with metal valve stems only. TPMS uses wireless technology to transmit the tire pressure data, letting you view it in real time right on your zūmo display.

VIRB Camera Compatibility

To record the highlights of your ride, zūmo 595LM is compatible with the Garmin VIRB series of HD action cameras (sold separately). Remotely control VIRB – start and stop recording – all from from your zūmo display. It’s easy and fun to record relive every adventure.

Updates and Extras

Use Garmin Express to keep your zūmo 595LM up to date. Garmin Express makes it easy to update maps and software, transfer favorites to and from devices and install free custom vehicles and voices. Plus, for added versatility, your zūmo 595LM also comes with an automotive mount and power cable — in addition to its motorcycle mount — so you can use it on the vehicles you drive, as well as on the ones you ride.

Very nice
I resisted spending $900.00 on the Zumo and used a Nuvi in the Ram Aquabox for a long time. I even purchased a visor to help with the glare. But after a year of struggling to see it in sunlight which was an extreme safety issue and missing important information because the Nuvi won't link via Bluetooth to helmet comm systems, I reluctantly spent the money.
Wow. Am I glad I did. I just ran a 300 mile test with it. It worked flawlessly. It was a bright sunny day and I had absolutely NO ISSUES with sun glare. Don't get me wrong, I had to move my head a very slight bit from time to time, but wow, nice.
The features are absolutely fantastic. Now, when I wired it to my motorcycle I used a waterproof two way trailer plug so I can completely remove the mount from my bike. Something Garmin should address. I really like the unit, but, it is very expensive and I can't help but think Garmin could get the price down.
The main problem I have with the unit is why is there's a plug for a microphone and speaker and a usb plug attached to the wiring harness? In this age of Bluetooth all they do is create a HUGE bundle of wires that do nothing but get in the way and cause a headache with the install. Garmin could at least offer a motorcycle cradle without them.Just a power wire and mount. I would cut them off but I'm worried it would cause some type of glitch withe the GPS . I still may give it a go if I find the money to purchase a backup motorcycle mount.
The bottom line:
Install on the bike, no problem. A Ram mount is included with the unit.
No problem pairing with my Note 5.
No problem pairing with my helmet comm.
No problem seeing the display in any angle in bright sunlight.
No problem using Basecamp, I created multiple routes for my test run.
Problem with cost.

Adventurous Routing is worth it
Alright it is pretty expensive. But the adventurous routing, to me, is worth it. It's not perfect, but it has taken me to some windy roads I didn't know where there, and all the other features work pretty well too. My only gripe is the beginnings of the spoken navigation instructions sometimes get cut off, could be a problem with my headset (Schuberth SRC-S).

I also got the TPMS sensors, and didn't realize until I opened the box that they require metal valve stems, but since having them installed my tires have held pressure much better, so those rubber valves were probably leaking. It is nice to be able to push on the screen a couple times to check the pressures before every ride...rather than find the gauge and crawl around on the ground.

Smartphone connectivity doesn't work
This product advertises that it can connect to your smartphone to display text messages, route phone calls, and use spotify to play music. I have an iPhone 6 and thus far I have yet to be able to view a text, despite having all the settings correct according to Garmin. The phone call support worked once and has not again despite resetting the device. Spotify works occasionally but usually the display gets stuck so that it won't tell you what song is actually playing and that is when it works at all.

On top of all of that you have to pay for traffic data and the directions the GPS comes up with are often ridiculous. I now have a very expensive electronic map.

Honestly, the performance of this product is so poor that it borders on fraud. I would return it but I am currently on a cross country trip that doesn't allow me to uninstall it from my bike.

Zumo 595LM Review
Purchased this GPS and rode with it today on my 2015 Multistrada for the first time. In the past i've used mostly smartphones and auto GPS on my motorcycles. Boy have I been missing out. It works well and has instant response to inputs. Direct sunlight is not really an issue as you can still see it fine. I have it mounted using the bar mount Ram mount and works well. Overall I'm extremely happy with this product. Also freaky fast shipping from Revzilla as usual

Nice product but REALLY bad price!
Works good in daylight, integrates just fine with my Samsung Note 5.
Works fine at night.

The features included are really nice
The kit for mounting it is outstanding, no need to buy extra stuff to make it work.

More details and other stuff available in a detailed write-up on my blog, including pictures: solidstatecitizen.blogspot.com

Overall it's a really nice product but due to the price I could not recommend that anyone buy it. You'd be better off with a TomTom.

Pulled the Trigger No Regrets!
This was an update to an older Garmin Nuvi that was designed for automobile not my GL1800. The Nuvi served me well, and based on other Garmins products I could not refuse the sale price offered by Revzilla not to mention the Affirm ez financing. So far the unit has been a great improvement from my old Nuvi. I am still working through the Garmin Base Camp and it's interface with the Zumo 595LM. I hard wired without any issues onto my GL1800 and really enjoy the larger viewing screen. I have heard some had issues with sunlight and the screen, but I found you have to angle the screen ever so slightly depending on the Suns angle to get a great view. Just have to find what angle works on any given day. I will update in the future after I get more time using this unit.

Awesome GPS, sales and support.
I frankly waited for it to go on sale!
Co-worker recommended this brand. Quality unit when unpacked. Assembled and mounted it after collecting small and medium diamter split loom, various size black wire ties, 6 mm X 16 awg ring terminals and, second ram base mount w/3M VHB tape to inside of fairing. Motorcycle shop installed electrical tape, frame ground and battery power. Taped up unused connectors and left USB coiled in battery box for future use.
Had issue with connecting/updating unit and computer. Tried different cables and computer per phone support and, finally completed task! Garmin is replacing USB cable under warranty. Quality is pricey!
Very pleased with price, sale, quality and support.
Revzilla and Garmin are the best!
