Dynatek Dyna S Dual Fire Ignition Kit For Harley

Simplify your ignition, toss your points, and put one of the longest-running aftermarket Harley ignitions in your bike. These units replace points and condensers with a high-performance single-fire ignition. Timing is accurate to within three degrees up to 8,000 RPM. Installation is a snap, and the ease of maintenance in comparison to points is an area where the Dyna S really shines! These fit behind factory points covers, too. These have been used by top road and drag racers who have captured victories and set records. Why? Because Dyna S ignitions are robust and work well - it's that simple. The kits include a coil, points lobe replacement magnetic unit, electronic ignition plate, and the necessary electrical connectors.

dyna S dual ign for ironhead
installed on 77 sportster. installation pretty straight forward. pay close attention to hooking up wires to coil, done incorrectly will fry module immediately. setting module position takes some skill/knowledge but setting in the mid position will fire right up and easily get your bike to someone that can set it properly. can't comment on durability as I don't ride the ole sporty all that much but I see no reason why it shouldn't last a long long time.

Two questions.

1) What is the resistance (OHM rating) for the coil in this kit?

2) I assume the "mechanical advance unit" you are referring to is a timing rotor?

BEST ANSWER: 5 ohm, mechanical advance is the flyweight assembly behind the point/condenser plate

BEST ANSWER: I can't think of any reason this would not work with a kicker, in fact it might work very well with a kicker.
Witch wire is hot white or blue or witch goes where on the dyna electronic ignition for shovelhead?
