Good choice on Great Divide
Rode the Great Divide, Banff to Antelope wells with my son on KLR's. We hit a wet spell and were never far from wet roads or mud for the whole trip. On my '06 I ran the 606 on the rear, MT21 in the front. He used the Conti TKC 80's front and rear on his '14. On pavement and gravel there wasn't much difference in performance, but certainly more howl from the 606/MT21 combo on the pavement. But when we hit the mud, I always made it further. When we got into the notorious New Mexico gumbo, I made it through a section where he plugged up so badly he could hardly turn the motor in first gear and we had to dig out the mud with our hands and sticks. Also had to push him up a muddy hill that I rode up. Can't say for sure if it was 1st Gen vs 2nd KLR, my better riding skills (um..probably not) or the tires. But, to do the same trip again I would not want to switch with him. Added benefit, after 3000 miles, there are at least another thousand left on the 606, I wouldn't waste the time to remount his rear tire.

Excellent for Off Road, but payment wears them down quickly!
I bought these for my WR250R, which are a huge improvement from the stock tires—and I mean HUGE. Off road they have excellent traction in rocks, mud or sand. On pavement the rear seems to be wearing quickly. Considering they're affordably priced, I believe they deliver excellent performance, and don't mind how they wear on the pavement.

Fantasic Tire
Ran these on my old KLR 650. My rides were long trips on pavement to get to Moab or Central Colorado from Denver. Once there, rode lots of off-road. Also did shorter trips into rocky mtns for overnight jeep trail camping. What a great tire. Shockingly good on-road. Decent wet grip and pretty good in the corners. Definitely brake early, but hey- it's a knobby. Shocked how good it is on the pavement. Off road, this tire is fantastic. Everything you expect out of a knobby. Had 1000 miles on these when I sold the KLR, and the rear was maybe 30-40% worn. Front still looked great. What a great tire. Can't recommend highly enough.

Excellent choice for the more aggressive adventure rider
Excellent choice for the rider that wants to spend more time offload than Tarmac. Don't get me wrong, this tire grips the pavement really well and will provide more confidence than it really should. If you are looking for a tire that can ride the highway and then do aggressive dirt riding this is a great choice. If you are doing more street use and just fire roads, I would choose a different tire (heidenau K60) as it will last much longer due to its tread design.

Works for me
'09 KLR (yeah, these are pretty $$$ for a KLR ;-). Aside from the howl on pavement, no negatives. Trust them to take me where the cell towers don't reach, and get me home again. Regardless of the weather, or the surface.

Don't be afraid of the roads with these, i was skeptical because they're rated 90% off road and 10% on but they do very well on the road, not too rough and can take turns moderately quick, braking hard is pretty bad though..

Great overall tire
i use this tire primarily for DS type riding. I commute to work 18 miles pavement during the week and dirt/gravel roads all other time. I have no complaints so far. tread life for me is pretty good for a $100 tire. it suits my needs. my last one lasted almost 5 years (miles unknown) i got 2500mi out of my current one and half of that was pavement. i think that it is truly a 90/10 dirt/street tire, and i could get by with a more street orientated tire, but a dirt bike needs dirt bike tires right? I see myself buying more of these in the future.

Well made tire, easy to spoon on and seat the bead, unlike other cheaper tires I've tried.
Bought these as a 3rd set of tires for a 2012 KLX250, they were super easy to mount, unlike other cheaper tires I've tried. I studded them and am using them for winter commuting. Even with the studs these tires have great traction for a knobby. I didn't even need to balance them(I would if I had to slab it for more than 100mi), they seem well made enough that there is no noticeable unbalanced feeling.

Probably the best knobby for an enduro bike.
This tire was purchased for a Suzuki DRZ 400 which I use for the back, back roads. I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina. There are a lot of gravel roads and some trails, but it still takes a lot of pavement riding to get to them. For this tire change I chose to go with an off road tire. I have been very pleased with the Dunlop 606s. They have great traction on pavement and allow me to keep in the gas on curvy gravel roads. The downside is that while the front tire shows no wear, the back is probably going to be gone in 1500 miles because of all the pavement riding.
