Cut the clutter!
This is a great product to get rid of clutter on your bike! I have the 2013 ZX6R all stock. I wanted to get rid of a little weight and clean up the clutter on the engine.
******NOTE******THIS WILL TURN ON THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT when you remove the clean air solenoid, also the weight savings is only going to be maybe a tenth of a pound of weight. not a huge weight savings, I also was told it would eliminate a majority of popping on decel with a aftermarket exhaust.
I have seen where others will put a 150 ohm resistor in the connector to fool the computer. Im going to have the ECU flashed to turn off this feature Other than that its a simple install if you have a little knowledge of motorcylces and mechanics.

One of the best mods you can do to make your bike run better period.
So I had to do some research on how to fix the CEL issue. I ended up using a 2 watt 150ohm resistor in the connector and taped it down with electrical tape. No problems whatsoever and the bike runs so much better. No more popping and gurgling from my slip on exhaust. It wasn't the easiest thing to put in. You have to remove a bunch of stuff to get there first. I would highly recommend getting some zip ties, a resistor, some tools to get to some hard to reach bolts, a magnet (you will probably drop a bolt somewhere in no man's land), some lube because one of the hoses is on there pretty tight. With the right tools and some patience anyone should be able to do this mod.

Great product overall, install of the actual plates were cake, getting to them a little bit of a headache because you have to remove the air box and gast and and some fairing but besides that great product overall. Will only use driven from now on.

Bye bye, backfires.
I want my bike to sound like it's in peak condition to perform. Installing the block off plates helped to dramatically eliminate the backfires and gurgles that began after changing my stock exhaust. It was relatively simple to install. It only took me about 45 mins with limited knowledge. I would definitely recommend this product, especially given the price.

Had some dyno tuning done to my zx6r and bought these to cap off the reed valves. No issues installing the caps. Fit and finish also was spot on. Highly recommended!!

I bought this cause I had to pull my tank and it was kind of a "while I am there" kind of thing. Plates were nice, it came with a vacuum cap for the bottom of the air box, but it was not a tight fit all and did not come with a clamp. I kind of thought it should have come with one. But I had one in my tool box, so not a deal breaker. Just something worth mentioning.

Cheap, but difficult to install.
An amazing product. It's a very difficult install as it requires completely stripping the bike, but this is probably one of the best bang-for-the-buck upgrades I've done for my bike, a 2010 ZX-6R.

FOR ME, this completely removed all popping in the exhaust and resulted in a much smoother feeling of engine braking and removed a lot of the abruptness that came from coming off the throttle quickly.

This is likely 09-12 ZX-6R specific, but there is a connector that goes to a component of the clean air system that you remove that needs to be dealt with, otherwise you may have an FI warning light that comes on. I would advise googling this and finding solutions for it.
My solution was by taking a paperclip and cutting the ends off into 2 much smaller pieces and bending them and then placing those in the contacts over the contacts.

That's obviously a pretty sketchy solution to someone reading a review on a product, but just know that you will need to figure out a way to resolve that problem and it's not included in this kit, but that these solutions do exist on forums.

Also please be aware that you may not have all the tools to strip your bike if you have a ZX-6R. I had to go out and buy long T-handle allen wrenches in order to reach the hose clamps that hold the throttle bodies to the rest of the engine. It was seriously difficult and took creativity to re-seat the airbox and throttle bodies. I'd definitely consider having a professional do this during a valve adjustment or such bike maintenance if you don't have the time, money, or expertise.

incomplete product for some bikes
I bought one made for my Kawasaki zx6r but it doesn't include anything for for that electrical connectoer now hanging loose which now gives fi code. Found an easy enough way to fix that but very unimpressed that driven would make an incomplete kit for the job. Do not recommend look at ivans performance.

Going with a full exhaust? , believe me you need this to prevent de-excel popping. Also if you have a oxygen sensor to gather data while your at the track it wont work if you don't delete the pair-valve.

I'd rate this as a difficult install. You have to remove your tank and airbox. I highly recommend, if you can, not removing the throttle bodies - just the airbox - as it is VERY difficult to re-seat them and you must loosen all the clamps, and then be able to re-tighten them from difficult angles. Long, T-handle allen keys are required.
