Needs a fitment update.
Okay, so I have '14 Triumph Street Triple R. Yet, it says it won't fit that bike; neither on Revzilla nor on Driven Racing's own site. But it does. I called Driven Racing to confirm; which makes sense since the gas tanks for the '13 Street Triple, which it says it fits, and the '14+ are the same. So, if you want this on your bike and it says it doesn't fit then do some more digging.
Also, the pics show only three bolts, but that is a stock photo. It has six for the Street Triple model. But did you know that only 3 of the bolts are functional and the other 3 are for show/symmetry?
Install is fast and easy. The directions tell you the proper torque, if you care about that stuff (I do); have some blue loctite around, if you care about that stuff (I do). Reuse your OEM seal.
Can't talk much about performance or durability. I asked Driven about how the self-venting mechanism works and their explanation makes sense (you can find the patent online if you're interested). It looks durable, but only time will tell. So, I didn't rate performance or durability for these reasons - they are the unknown.
It's beautiful. I bought the red cap with it. My Street R is black and red, so this keeps with the look. I didn't have a problem with the stock gas cap, nor having to unlock it to refuel, but I have to admit this piece is quite sharp looking. I think it's worth the price and worth buying; IMO, nicer looking than any of the other aftermarket gas caps that I've seen (at least as much as I can tell from only internet photos).
As always, Revzilla is great! Seriously, if Revzilla was a woman I'd date her. We'd have a torrid, up and down love affair. Then, inexplicably, she'd disappear from my life and break my heart. I wouldn't hear from her for years, yet I'd always know the sound of her sweet Revving voice. Oh, sure, I'd move on. I'd go through a long line of loose women and ersatz Revzillas...but none of them could live up to the original. Finally, the only place I'd be able to find comfort and a warm embrace would be at the bottom of a bottle of Bourbon. Then, one day, a child would show up at my door. A girl - just as beautiful as 'ol Revvy, but maybe looking a little like me, too. She'd tell me her age - the same as the last time I saw Revzilla. Oh, Revzilla! Even when you hurt me I love you. We'd all reunite and everything would seem perfect. I wouldn't even ask where she went so many years before. It would go like this for maybe a blissful month or two. Until my ticker, bum from too many years of heartbreak and booze, goes out while riding some twisties. The only two attending my funeral? Revzilla and our little Revzita. Anyway, Revzilla is a great company.
