Stops the wind and adds warmth
Overall, I'm very pleased with this product. It definitely stops the wind and adds warmth. I tend to wear it when it's under 60 degrees because my riding jacket is perforated leather. I'm not sure how much it will help sub-40 degrees since it hasn't been that cold in North Carolina yet. I would, however, not call it a shirt. It's more like a very thin jacket. The material and construction appears to be high quality and it's super soft and fleecy on the inside. I bought a medium and I wear a size 50 Dainese jacket. The windstopper 'jacket' is nice and snug on me, but not too tight. I would highly recommend this product. Great value and quality.

Does what is says it does!
i purchase the Dainese No Wind Layer D1 Shirt (jacket) for those cold mornings. And it has served its purpose. I wear it under my summer jacket and it keeps the wind and cold air out. I love it so much that i even wear it as a light jacket on evenings. On extremely cold (3C or bellow) i can place it under my regular leather and it servers as a oven. I am so happy with it that i found myself wearing it every morning ride. I just don't leave home without it.

Excellent mid layer "shirt"
This "shirt" (more like a lightweight fleece jacket) has saved me from freezing day-after-day.

I've ridden in low 30 temp with full on downpours, and this fleece has not only kept me dry, but it's kept me surprisingly warm.

I ride with a base layer, mid layer, and perforated jacket; so take that into consideration with this review. That being said, I was SIGNIFICANTLY colder without the D1 shirt.

I would, and constantly do recommend the D1. It looks great, feels great, and does its job exceptionally well. Definitely worth the price.

Awesome Jacket
Great jacket, does what its supposed too. Thought id review from a sizing point of view. I'm a size 48 jacket, 175cm tall, 32" waist and would normally take a small, however, I bought a medium in this jacket and its a perfect fit. Its quite slim fitting so consider sizing up.

Awesome wind protection
I cannot live without this in cold weather. Great wind protection. A little thicker than I expected, More like a jacket than a shirt, but still fits comfortably under my jacket.

A Great Mid Layer
I just got this on Saturday and I have to say it is very nice, and very good at what it is meant to do. Riding in Alaska it is often a challenge to stay warm. In the morning it can be cold (39 on Monday AM, 7/10) or warm (82 Wednesday 7/19) at 4:00 PM. So riders need a versatile kit of layers. I had been wearing an old Marmot windshirt. It did a good job for a long time but it had seen better days. When I found this I was happy to give it a try. It doesn't disappoint. Very well made, quality piece. Fits very snug though. I am 5' 11"/200Lb and I got an XL. A large would not have fit. I think it's priced a little high but it it is very good. I wear mine under a Ronin jacket with just a Tee shirt under it and it keeps me warm enough. I put it in the saddlebag for the ride home as it is usually much warmer after work, at least in July. Come September I will probably wear it all the time. It does the job.

Perfect shirt/jack
I purchased this to replace my 10 year old BMW phase change second layer. The new BMW ones look like crap.

I am 6'. 195lb, 36 waist with 43" chest. It was recommended here that if I intended to wear it as a jacket that I go up a size. Spot on recommendation. It fits like a glove, but not to snug. No air migration when riding. Everything is quality in the build of it.

Just the right amount of warmth for those cooler mornings and evenings when you are off the bike.

It will get the acid test next week on a six day Western NC mountain ride. The leaves probably haven't sprouted at 3,500 feet yet.

This thing works almost too well.
I bought this no wind layer to wear underneath my mesh jacket on my 4 am commute. I've only been able to test it down to 60 degrees so far, but nothing gets through. Even at freeway speeds I'm nice and warm all the way to work, about 25 miles. Off the bike, this thing is warm. Getting the bike out of the garage is enough to put me on the verge of sweating. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to stay warm while wearing fewer layers.

Comfortable layer that works in a variety of conditions
I purchased the D1 a little over a year ago from my local Dainese store. The comfort level is fantastic. I normally am in between a medium and a small for most brand and have broad shoulders to slimmer waste, the size of the D1 I purchased was XXL and it fit very well. Go at least once size up from what you normally wear, otherwise the shirt will have a few pressure points. If you like the tight fit, then I'd still go for a size up. The XL would have been a snug fit on me, but I choose to go for a lightly looser fit in case I wanted to sneak some under armor cold gear or just wear casually as a fall jacket (which it works very well). It has been decently durable, however I have had the cuffs fixed a few time and will again soon. The stitching isn't the best there and might just have them completely redone instead of restitching as they fail. The only other issue is a small hole that has appeared on my left shoulder on the d1 that was discovered just before writing this review. No idea how it happened, but hopefully it will not completely compromise the jacket and can be touched up somehow.
