Great Jacket, Great Price, Great Fit - CA "Winter" Review
Ok so to put this review in reference, I ordered a size 42. I am about 120 lbs, 5'7" and I have a long torso and arms with a smaller chest. This makes finding riding jackets impossible sometimes - everything seems to be pre-formed for large chests and short torsos and if the arms are long enough the jacket is huge on the torso and isn't flattering; conversely jackets that are flattering fits on the torso have sleeves that are too short. (Looking at YOU alpinestar!) If you have similar problems this jackets is gong to be what you have been looking for.
The fabric reminds me of a high quality windbreaker/rain jacket and its a little shiny but not too much. I got caught in some 47 degree rain unexpectedly on my commute home and the jacket kept me warm and dry (the rest of me was still wet and freezing) so it does do a really good job of blocking wind and rain. I ordered one size up so I can wear a hoodie or heated vest underneath and everything fits with the armor and liner in.
The way the jacket has stretchy panels would allow anyone with a large chest to also be super comfy in this jacket. The stretchy panels in the back make it comfortable while riding even long distances (I commute to work 30 min each way on an MT-07, so somewhat upright position though I'm sure it would be just as comfortable on a sport bike).

The only downside of this jacket is that its SOOOO dark and the details get lost in in, but other wise the cut is perfect, comfortable and functional. All below $300 *slow clap* for this jacket Dainese!

Some other features in case they arent mentioned - retroflective thread weaved into the top back collar, pockets that are easy to get to and functional, liner is easy to remove and super warm, cuzz zippers have leather backing panel to keep wind and rain out, snap on the collar is easy to close blindly with a helmet on, there is a zipper opening to insert back armor as well (my icon D3 armor fit in perfectly, and if you take the shoulder armor out it could pass as just a stylish moto-isnpired jacket. LOVE this jacket as an every day wear for CA - winter. Not sure how it will do in summer as it lacks venting - but i will update when it gets warm. This is a good alternative to a $400-500 price point jacket for mild winter and fall riding though!

Excellent Stylish Women's Jacket
I was looking for a jacket that not only provided protection but also looked good and didn't scream "biker chick" so that I could wear it on my commute to work. The Alice jacket checks those boxes. Nice feminine lines, comfortable fit, good pockets and a nice removable liner for those chiller days. I have gotten many compliments from people with this jacket.

The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is that there are no additional vents for the jacket making it a little warmer for city riding (80+ degrees with humidity). The button collar does make it so that you can unzip a little to get some additional air flow, but not much.

Stylish protection.
When looking for a jacket to wear as a passenger, I wanted to find a jacket that was not meant for racing. However I wanted to find something with enough protection. I also wanted to find something that I would not be embarrassed walking around in when we went on trips. I love that this jacket is all black without branding all over it, it has the dainese logo on the front left chest (small) and on the back in between the shoulder blades (small). There is no pink or purple or hot high viz colors everywhere and absolutely not writing of the brand all over. The jacket is good or weather from 50s to 70s, 80s without the liner. It is well insulated, but not a lot of ventilation. The fit of the jacket is larger, but that is just dainese with the size of jackets beginning at 40. I am small and had a hard time finding a jacket that fit me and this just fits; really only wear with lining because it fits better.

Great fall spring jacket
I really like this jacket and highly recommend it for fall and spring- great and easy to wear.. doesn't feel bulky, more like a nice jacket, zips up nice and tight ... but with armor ... really nice feel to the fabric. It keeps me comfortably warm in fall and spring, generally without the liner. With the liner, it will go to the cooler days- mid 40s is it for me. It isn't, technically windproof, but does keep it at bay. Slim fitting, as Dainese is, and works for my build. I am 5.2 105lbs, athletic build and wear a 40. Great fit, and style ... hits me longer on my torso than Kat in the video.

Is this true the size chart? Are the sleeves tight or is wearable with a thick lazer underneath? Im in between sizes
Emilio F on Sep 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would say order one size up if you want to layer - its a thin enough cut that it wont make the torso bulky. I have a 42 and I'm 5'7" 120lbs and the sleeve are long enough for sure - which is hard to find! Hope this helps.
Is this jacket warm for winter? with layers underneath?
A shopper on Aug 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would say that it really depends on a few different factors. 1. How cold and wet does your winter get? 2. How is your personal tolerance for the cold? 3. How do you like to dress/layer? The inner liner that is removable is quite snug and comfy so I can imagine that having that plus a nice long sleeve base layer/thermal will suffice for a chilly Fall evening but depending on the fit, it may be hard to have thicker layers under all that. The other option I can imagine is to have the jacket without its liner but to have better layers of clothing on. If your Winter seasons are extra cold and/or your tolerance is a bit low, I don't think this jacket will suffice beyond late Fall/early Winter; the best category for the Alice I would say is a 3-season jacket. Hope this helps!
Does this jacket have zippers to connect to pants?
Elle S on Aug 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I see from the previous question that the "jacket.. does not have a zipper to connect to pants".

I am unable to delete my question. Revzilla, please feel free to delete.
I noticed in the video that Anthony refers to leather in the trim on the sleeves as well as the logo. No leather is mentioned in the description, and I want a textile-only (vegan) jacket. Are those pieces made from animal hide, or are they synthetic? Thanks.
A shopper on Oct 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Just took a look at mine and I'm pretty certain that the trim is synthetic and not actual leather.
Which (textile) pants might match well with this jacket? There are so many choices. I don't want anything bulkier than the bulkiness or weight of this jacket.
Elle S on Aug 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I use the AST-1 WP by Alpinestars and they fit well and match up to the jacket
What material is this jacket made out of?
A shopper on Mar 23, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Dainese does not disclose the actual components of its fabrics. Instead, they just describe this particular material as "Mad Fabric" (appropriate, no?). The Alice Jacket is designed for city riding, not for highway speeds. The jacket also does not have a zipper to connect to pants, and Dainese jackets without connection zippers are not designed for highway speeds.
What is the difference between this jacket and the Dainese Alice High Rise?
