Dainese 4 Stroke Long Gloves - Size Large
So first off the only 2 bad parts I found with these gloves. In the the upper left pinky finger it had a bad rub that maybe was a manufacture defect. So I had to return them. The pinkies length are a little short but not bad so if you have super long pinky fingers you may have an issue. I would have kept them if the pinky rub wasn't present.

The fitment on these is small as they are Euro style, this is stated in the review video. Secondly, the glove felt amazing and felt very protective with the stainless steel on top of the hand. When you put them on you feel like you could punch through a car window and walk away unscathed, probably true but did not attempt. They definitely have a 5/5 protection in my eyes which is why I purchased them. I would recommend them to anyone who wants great protection. I was sold on the stainless steel and over all protection. Hopefully you don't run into the same issue I had with the pinky rubbing. Also I have smaller hands and fingers, to give you an idea of the size "large" glove fitment. These gloves will fit snug in a good way unless you get a defect like I did.

Great Glove. Needs More Refinement.
I love Dainese gear and have used it for a long time. I know they size all their gear smaller and these gloves are no exception. Order a size up. Protection is abundant and doesn't compromise style to do that. A few areas that need refinement: Internal seems/sewing need a little more work. Especially in the fingers. After several 150+ mile rides, my fingers were sore. Rest of the seems where very comfortable, so maybe this is an isolated issue. Hopefully, these seems will soften with use. Another area is the color combo. I purchased the Black glove and it has gray piping. Online you don't notice it much, but in person.....not so nice. Living with it, but why not simply make the black glove all BLACK!

All-in-all a great glove with tons of protection. A little pricey, but if it's anything like my last pair of Dainese gloves....they'll last a while, making them a great value!

Great gloves
For me, it's all about protection. I ride three Saturdays a month usually doing between 300 and 600 miles on an outing.

These gloves fit perfectly right out of the box. My first ride with them was a weekend overnight trip dong 500 miles on Saturday and 300 miles on Sunday.

The weather range was from 37 to 103 within 7 hours (wackiness of Arizona) and these gloves were perfect.

The gloves feel wonderful. We carved the Devil's Highway in both directions on Saturday and the gloves performed beautifully; armor on the outside but smooth and comfortable on the inside.

I highly recommend these gloves. Worth every penny. Just hope I never need to put the armor to the test.

Word to the wise for those with big hands!
My Gloves: black/black/black 2XL
Fitting gloves to: Dainese non-perf Fighter Leather Jacket
Riding: 2017 SV650abs

TLDR;

These gloves like most Dainese products are of stellar quality. However, they run small and the thumb sizing can be a little weird for people with very large hands. Best to try them one size up from what you tape and then go from there.

Design/Quality:
The moment you open the box you know that you received some bad ass gloves. The armor is strong and the tech level is very high. It would appear this is the true down-step from the full metal race pro. When I say "Step down" I say that lightly. I have tried on all the other manufacturers at this price point and the Dainese gloves seem to be best in class.

Fit/Feel:
Okay, this is where it gets tough for guys like me. I have VERY big hands (never worn gloves of any type below 2XL). However, what makes my hands big is not long fingers or sausage fingers, but rather just very big palms. My hands are proportionate (no super long fingers, no fat fingers, just proportionately large overall). So, base my review on that fact.

So, fit...the size chart says that my left (9.6") and right (9.75") hands should fit best in the XL size. Well let me say that is WAY off. I could get the XL on (tried race-pro and 4-stroke evo in a B&M store), but it was so tight that it was genuinely painful. Stepped up to the 2XL in the B&M store and (while the fingers/thumb fit much better) the back of my hands still had a lot of tension. At this point I was frustrated because I couldn't try on a 3XL in the store and I had already ordered the 2XL from Revzilla. What to do?

I got on revzilla chat and quickly had them change my order from a 2XL to a 3XL. When the 3XL pair arrived two days ago, I tried them on and found the palms and fingers to be PERFECT!! However, Dainese in their infinite wisdom decided that when making the 3XL that the thumb should be 1/2" longer than the 2XL. This is a no-go. Now I have perfect fitting gloves with a floppy thumb that is way too long.

So, I got on chat today (props to Filip for always providing excellent advice) and got a return label for the 3XL gloves and some great advice from staff. The suggestion was to re-order the 2XL (since the fingers and thumbs fit perfectly) and to put them on during a movie and just work on breaking the back of the hands in and getting the leather to stretch. So, that is where I stand now. Returning the 3XL for 2XL with intention of a few days of "back-of-hand" break in period before they fit perfectly.

SO...word to the wise. If you have really big hands, you better have REALLY long thumbs to make the 3XL work. If not, go 2XL and save the headache.

Overall quality:
It is Dainese after all. An excellent product and quality through and through.

Revzilla Customer Service:
As always, second to none. No online retailer has ever treated me better.

Best of luck to the big handed people out there. Learn from my mistakes and:
-order a size up
-only go two sizes up if you've got long thumbs

Pretty good gloves
Bought these to replace some Alpinestars gloves that fell apart. Seem to be good so far. As long as build quality holds up (which it seems it will) these are great.

Great protection and perfect fit.
Very happy with my recent purchase. Aside from the comfort, quality, and protection the thing that really put a smile on my face was the fit. Most gloves are either too tight or a bit long for my fingers. Surprisingly these bad boys fit perfectly.

Is it waterproof?
Aaron H on May 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi mate. Leather isn't usually water proof so I have to say no they aren't straight out of the box. BUT! If you do what I did and go to a store and pick up some leather preserving and treating oil it makes them water resistant. I went to a horse saddle store that sells a whole range of leather treatment products. Make sure you get an oil and not a wax or a cream etc because the oil won't discolor your gloves when it dries after the few hours or over night and the oil soaks deep into the leather. . When you treat these gloves with the leather oil they becomes super soft and absolutely beautiful to wear and it will stop them from soaking up the rain. The rain now beads off. These gloves are freakin awesome. Hope this helps. Cheers.
is the gauntlet cuff large enough to close over a non-race jacket if you use these on the street?
Lewis K on Mar 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have used these with a Dainese leather jacket and a mesh jacket on the street and they fit over both of them.

Are these all around better than the Druid D1 Long gloves?
Joshua S on Jul 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They are a notchance below the full metal pro. I have the full metal and love them. These are basically the same without the kevlar stitching and the titanium protection. I think they are muck better than the druid which my friend owns
Would these be usable in hot weather?
Mia C on Jul 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I live in TX so summers do get pretty hot. The gloves are fine in hot weather even with the cuff over the jacket as well. The only thing you need to remember to do is spread your fingers out for the vents inbetween the fingers to work
