Great Summer Jacket
I was looking for a nice mesh summer jacket, and this new Cortech VRX Air was exactly what I wanted. Very nice jacket at a great price. I was trying to find a good deal on a Dainese or Alpinestars, but they were all more expensive. I took a chance on this Cortech, and i'm glad I did. It looks great, has plenty of pockets, lots of airflow, comfortable collar, and decent protection. I'm 5'10" 150-lbs with 40 chest and 32 waist. I initially ordered a MEDIUM size, but when it arrived, it was too big and baggy. I called Revzilla, and shipped it back for a SMALL size. Return shipping was no hassle, and they shipped the replacement jacket FAST! I appreciate the great service from Revzilla. I tried on the SMALL jacket and it fit perfect. I ride a sportbike, and I needed a closer fitting jacket. If you are a slim rider, who rides a sportbike, you should consider ordering the next smaller size. If you ride an adventure/touring bike, and need a little more room in your jacket, just order your normal size. I highly recommend this jacket. It is my new hot weather favorite!

An Excellent choice for hot weather riding
I purchased this jacket at the recommendation from a riding buddy. It is an excellent choice for hot to very hot weather riding. I have worn an Alpinestar vented/mesh jacket for the past three Arizona Summers. Unfortunately it has more panels than mesh consequently it nullifies any benefit from wearing a cool vest. The Cortech jacket is composed of about 85 percent mesh and works really well with my cool vest on days where the temps are high and the humidity is low. Even without the vest in place it flows more air than any jacket in recent memory.
I've worn the jacket on several 105 plus days and I am satisfied. The protective armor is thin but I expected that, it's hard to fit substantial armor in a light weight jacket. The jacket is well made and the fit is true. All in all an excellent value at this price point.

Good value, and a solution to my summer riding.
I purchased this jacket for the hot summers in Southern California. I am very pleased with it's air flow and comfort. Though the material is lighter than my regular gear, and I worry that it might be less durable in an accident, the armor points will still offer protection. The fit is good for me, though I ordered a size smaller than my usual fit, based on the many comments from other purchasers.

I would have preferred that the jacket had more white, and less black, to make it even cooler in the sun, but I am very satisfied.

Price point, quality and style!
So if you're reading this review, you've probably been attracted to the sweet styling and awesome price point of this jacket just like I was when it first came to market. I pulled the trigger on this jacket a couple of weeks after it became available, and I've been riding with it for about a month now. First off, I love cold beer, and so I'm kinda stocky up top. I am 5'11, 250 lbs. I ordered the XL and am glad I did. Sure it's a little tight around my beer gut when I zip it up, but who's judging? The 2XL would have been too long and baggy in the arms for sure. At my height and weight, the shoulder armor sits right where it should. As for comfort, it's exactly what you expect (a little snug around the gut in my case), but I took the rain liner out and stuck it in my pack for that rare occasion that I get caught in a downpour. With the rain liner out, the mesh construction of the jacket really shines and becomes functional. I don't pour sweat inside the jacket, even in the high humidity of Louisiana. With that being said, the airflow is just fine. At the price point Revzilla is offering this jacket, you really can't go wrong. Give it a shot, it's legit!

Nice, light, breathable Jacket.
I really like this jacket. I have the Hi-Viz one which matches my SS1300 Hi-Viz helmet and Scorpion SGS Hi-Viz gloves. The size chart is accurate. I am 35in chest, 25in arm, 34 in waist, 5/7 in height. The XS was a good fit.

The only issue I really have is that it could have come with a CE rated back armor. What is more disappointing is that a CE rated back is not available for purchase, an issue I brought up with Cortech personally.

Let us hope one is available for purchase in the future.

Excellent durability and protection
Ordered this jacket due to the specs and write up. Was amazed at the quality of this jacket. Very durable and comfortable. Heavy construction will ensure proper protection. Zip out liner is a super plus. Wore this jacket with liner my first ride and in 70 deg weather was a little hot. Unzipped the liner and in 80 degrees its comfortable. A little snug for the the size, but that's expected. I highly recommend this jacket.

A great jacket for small riders
I am a smaller rider - 5'6" - so finding a jacket that fit me properly was a daunting task to say the least. However, Cortech delivers by providing the VRX and VRX Air in XS. With the velcro straps all around the pre-twisted sleeves, I was able to adjust it to a proper fit. This was very nice! The liner can be a bit hot, so I removed mine for now, and air flow is excellent. The reflective white and red help keep you visible and add a bit of visual flare. Overall, a fantastic jacket.

Keep it cool - Style and Airflow
I recently upgraded from a 50cc scooter to a Honda PCX150. With the additional power and ability to travel on the freeway, I wanted a jacket that would offer moderate protection, high visibility, and a lot of airflow (it gets hot riding on an island). The VRX Air Jacket accomplished all of this.

I purchased the high-viz yellow/black and could not be happier. I'm 5' 6" and 170lbs and wear a medium shirt, but ordered a small jacket, which fit perfectly. The addition of a water proof lining was nice, but I set that aside and will likely purchase a separate rain suit later.

Great for the summer heat!
I got this jacket as a gift from my wishlist and I love it!!! I needed something to ward off the immense Georgia summer heat and this does the trick better than my previous jacket (Joe Rocket Rasp). This jacket flows way more air than my previous one and is way lighter too. The protection is not near as good as the Rasp's but, I knew this was going to not be as good due to the airflow and weight of the jacket. I've ridden with this in ~98 degree heat and with just the slightest bit of speed the "A/C" comes on. Don't expect any miracles at a stand still, I doubt any jacket can do that.

I have an XL (didn't try the large) For reference I am 6' 2", ~210 lbs, 44" chest, and 29.5" sleeve. The jacket is a bit loose around the midsection (I'm an athletic build not much "spare tire" for me), shoulders are good, chest is good, sleeves are good. When on the bike the I'd like to have another inch on the sleeves but it's not a deal breaker. I've got the black/white/hi-viz and I get many compliments for it. Many of my co-workers say they can see me a lot better on the road. I've not tested the rain liner although I did get in a small drizzle without it and I remained dry (wasn't in the rain for too long).

My complaints are:

The back protector is a joke (didn't expect much though)
The sleeves have a velcro closure that I'm not fond of
(I like the zipper closure on my other two jackets)

Other than that I absolutely love this jacket and would recommend it to anyone.

Sizing chart is off a size
I'm so glad I listened to the sizing in the video. I'm 6', 210lbs with 44-45" chest. According to the size chart I would have orderd an XL. I went with the L due to the video review, and it fits perfect. Sleeve length is perfect. An XL would be too long. Not tight in chest or waist. I little loose in the waist but it can be cinched a bit, but its fine as it is. Now to get out and use it!

My son went back and forth between a few that were very similar, but ultimately decided on this jacket for his summer riding. It offers the best and most inclusive options for the lowest price.

Sizing, I have the regular version of this jacket. I wear an XS, 35 chest, 29 waist, 5' 4'' this jacket fits good. Was thinking on the GX Sport Air, But again came down to fit, I feel this jacket has a little higher elbow placement and a slightly tighter chest vs. the GX Sport. I also like the Velcro vs. the snaps on the arms. I like the cuff better too. This is my favorite jacket, the non mesh version I have kept me riding all winter, as low as 30 degrees and a much colder windchill.

Mesh jacket with protection is a must in Florida. Suggestion; need longer drop seat for bigger riders on sport bikes. I don't want to have to strap my jacket to my belt everytime i ride. Drop the rear of the jacket more than the straight shorty jackets.

I'm leaving to do the four corners in 2 weeks as my old jacket was showing it's age I wanted a new mesh jacket. I selected Cortech as I have had good results with their product products in the past. I also need products with good armor as I have had a shoulder replacement.

How is the room in arms, Dainese, Spidi my arms wont even fit into.... Not that I have huge muscles but jeeze?
jodie b on May 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm 6'2" & 35 inch sleeve, 44 in chest. 185 lbs. sleeves are slightly short for me but there was no tall option. I ordered XL. Sleeves aren't so short that it leaves wrists exposed. With the optional liner in it fits snugly but comfortably. Love the jacket. Visibility is good. Jacket is well ventilated in warm & hot weather and liner does extend the temps to wear it.
If anyone or REVZILLA could post a picture of the BACK of the White/Red colored jacket?... I just want to know if the back has a lot of white on the back as well as the front.
A shopper on Sep 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure how to attach a picture to this reply, but the jacket does not have a lot of white on the back. If you'll look at the picture on the web site of the darker jacket from the rear view, the only white on the jacket would be in the two patches just below the yellow stripe over the shoulder blades. There is an emblem that is reflective just below the collar, but that's it. Hope this helps.
Will my Forcefield 001 back protector fit in this jacket?
Patrick T on Aug 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not sure but there is tons of space back there to put a tank with space for a captain to man it.
I'm 5'11'', 41" chest, 26" sleeves, 185 lbs. I'm not sure about the size to pick. According to the chart I should get a Large but in the video, the guy is 6", 46' chest, 215 lbs and he is wearing a Large too. Should I get a Medium? Or even a small? That would be a first since high school!
Martin B on Jun 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wear an large and it is a little snug in the shoulders
I would not suggest a smaller size then you normally wear.

BEST ANSWER: Hey I'm pretty close to the same size as you, and I went with the medium and it fits me great.
according to your video review, this product does not come equipped with CE rated protection. The jacket fits me and I like the look, but would like to upgrade the protection. What CE protection do you recommend that would fit this product. I was looking in to the ones which allow for airflow?
Ali1 on Jun 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Kevin,
I just got this jacket and so far it's great - provides a lot of air flow!

It does have CE rated protection in the shoulders and elbows. The back protector is foam and should be upgraded.
