Excellent All-Round Tire - Triumph Bonneville T120 Black
It's difficult to find a set of tires for the T120 Black as the OEM is the awful Pirelli Phantom. I do mountain rides and two 1k+mile trips a year. with over 10k miles a year, I get a full use of the tires and these have been excellent. Lastly, the tread life isn't long but absolutely less than a DP tire. Already put a second set on the bike-- really enjoyed having confidence in these tires.

The sound of Silence. Try beating this...
I've tried every single 90/10 adv touring tire since I do mostly pavement. When I will do dirt/gravel i will switch to 50/50 (always Mitas e07s). I have a Triumph Explorer XCA 2017

These tires are THE BEST I've ever had BY FAR. The entire experience with the tire has been amazing. I did Miami Yosemite on Metzeler Tourance next and they were destroyed once we got there, both front and back. I don't fault the tires for it, temperature and altitude changes can destroy tires. So on my way back I used these.

I'm currently at 3K miles and I'm not riding in summer time at 100+ degrees through the desert but, man are these tires great. ABSOLUTELY SILENT I feel on heaven. The turning and the bike's grip has doubled and yes I've had 500 miles of rain. The tires are still looking new at 3K miles so I'm sure at least they will have average age of 7K in the back at least.

What an overall riding difference!

Now I'm not going to anything else ever, perhaps if Continental releases the Trail attack 3 I would consider using those but i will not change this tires for anything other than themselves.

Great Job Conti

Awesome Tires
I had LazerTech tires on my 2012 Bonnie. They performed ok and I felt like they worked. I only got about 2000 miles before they were worn. My commute is up a very rough and winding mountain road, with ruts and bumps and potholes.

These New Road Attack tires are sooo much better! They grip and hold in turns that were a little scary before. I now have no fear of that mountain road and its issues.

Trust me buy the tires. I have only had these tires for 3 weeks but for me if they last more than 3k miles I will be happy to replace them with the same Road Attack 3 tires, they are worth every penny.

They're, well, perfect!
I have experience w/ Metzler Z8, Michelin Pilot Road 4GT, Pirelli Angel GT, and these Continental RoadAttack 3GT is absolutely flawless on my 2016 BMW R1200RT. I have about 3,400m on them and can attest they are quiet, have best grip wet or dry, perfect lean-in and very easy to maintain a line in spirited riding thru the twisties. All the other tires except the Z8s would occasionally slide out in harder low speed turns but not these RA3GTs. They appear be wearing about like the other tires mentioned did except the Angel GT would develop 4 discreet planes of wear, whereas the RA3GT has a squaring area in the center commensurate with the amount of flat road riding these miles represent, but the rest is nicely radiused presumably due to the more consistent single-type rubber compound they employ. They also tend to squirm less on grooved pavement which I attribute to their tread and siping design approach.

Great upgrade from stock tires!
I recently purchased a very low mileage 2014 Tiger 800 roadie that still had the stock Pirelli Scorpion Trails. Those tires had plenty of tread left but were hard as a rock with a squared-off rear. Needless to say the handling and confidence in corners was lousy.
Since I do almost 100% roads I was considering either the Dunlop Roadsmart 3’s or the Conti Road Attack 3’s since both offered rebates. I picked the Road Attack 3’s due to the limited yet universally positive reviews. Plus the traction skin no break in period technology was a big draw.
I’ve only been on a couple of rides so far, but the Road Attack 3’s are gripping like glue and feel rock solid through the canyons near my home. I was taking curves quicker than before on the first ride. The tires never made me nervous. All in all they seem like an excellent tire. A bit cheaper that PR 4’s too! I’d buy again and recommend them to a friend.

Very confidence inspiring!
I put a set of Road Attack 3's on my Triumph Bonneville SE and they are a huge improvement over the Avon Roadrider bias ply tires they replaced and have transformed the handling. The bike's steering is much more precise and neutral. The bike dives into corners with ease, holds a line through a turn, and changes direction easily when needed. The tires warm up quickly and are confidence inspiring... hugging the road and sticking well in the wet or dry.

I put them to the test with a 750 mile weekend trip to the mountains and they performed superbly on the twisty technically challenging roads. They did well over tar snakes when my riding buddies were complaining of slipping and sliding around. I also got caught in rain a couple of times and they stuck well and allowed me to continue to enjoy the curves with confidence, never letting go. I ride at a "spirited" pace on the back roads and the Road Attack 3's are up to the task, allowing me to push the bike harder with confidence. I have been forced to shift my body position more and more as my increased lean angles began to grind away my side stand. At 1500 miles so far the tires are wearing well, but time will tell how they wear long term.

Highly recommended!

Road Attack 3 on a Bonneville
This is the first true modern tire available on a mag wheel Triumph Bonneville. I've ran the stock tires, two sets of Pirelli Sport Demons, and finally have about 600 miles on these RA3s.

Tread life of course hasn't been tested yet, but so far the tires stick incredibly well in the dry, wet, and cold. I'd agree that these don't need a traditional "break in" but wasn't truly pushing them right off the shelf.

All in all, I'm ecstatic that a manufacturer finally made a proper new sport touring tire that fits the mag wheel bonneville. From what I gather, these sizes will also work well with the small sportbikes (R3, Ninja 300, CBR300 etc)

Could not be more impressed after first 400 miles
First trip was a great test... one day dry, one day steady rain. Great grip with telepathic steering. My bike has never felt more planted when leaned into hard turns. Feels soft and sticky.
Amazing wet traction too. Not even one tiny slip in all-day wet riding on Appalachian roads, including Tail of the Dragon. Wet traction equals or exceeds that of the Pilot Road 4. Very please with my purchase. Plus, they mounted fairly easily with just tire irons. Time will tell regarding longevity, but so far A+.

Awesome tires!
When I bought my BMW R1200R it had the original Bridgestone Tire’s on it. The bike had about 5500 miles on it and the rear was a little squared off giving the bike that “falling off a cliff” feeling when transitioning into a turn which was no fun.
Although Bridgestone and Michelin seemed to be the go-to tire for these bikes I decided to give the Continental Road Attack 3 a try.
The improvement in handling was immediate. Rolling into a turn is smooth and predictable. They feel incredibly stable and the grip is awesome. And as a bonus they required virtually no break-in when new.
I can’t speak to their wet performance or long term wear as I only have a few hundred dry miles on them. But I would highly recommend these tires to anyone looking for a sport touring tire.

What kind of mileage can I expect to get from these?
Clifford C on Jan 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They are new, so everyone is waiting to see. My last set of tires were a combination of Conti Trail Attack 2 for the rear, and a Road Attack 2 in the front, which are supposed to be similar. They lasted 7,000 miles, before they squared off, and got kinda squirrely. I liked them enough to try the 3's. I've put about 1000 miles on the 3's, so far, and they compare very favorably with the 2's.
Are they radial?
donald o on Feb 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: On any tire, look at the size.. whether in the dropdown on your computer, or on the sidewall. If there is an "R" in the size of the tire, it is a radial.
