The Best, Hands Down
I am gonna say it right off the bat, you are not going to find a better tire for vintage applications. I bought a set for my 73 CB350, and I can't even believe the way that they changed the character of the bike. Shortly after break-in, I took my bike on a trip on some of the twistiest roads in the US (Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway), and I can't say enough about how they performed. I know they are pretty pricey, but just shut up and pay. Don't even bother looking elsewhere; these are the tires you're looking for.

Great product from the start!!!
Installed these on my recently restored and upgraded 1980 cb750f and can't get over the new feel of the bike. These tires has tons of grip and no new tire mold release issues at all! Took the bike out this weekend for a solid 8 hours thru plenty of twisties and never felt any lack in grip or performance. I can't speak for the tread life or wet performance yet but don't doubt that it will impress. Great tire!

after ~4k miles on two different bikes
I've done about 4000 miles on a 1981 Honda CX500 and a 1983 Honda Ascot with these tires. Both bikes saw trackdays (Sonoma and Thunderhill). I was not able to get these tires to slip on the track or on my many twisty backroads trips. I was getting some premature ridging and wear but I think that may be because I was running 28-30 psi, I think about 34 psi should be minimum for better wear on the street. I must say that the biggest difference versus bias-ply tires is the ride quality. These seem to have soft sidewalls (even for radials) and they seem to really absorb small irregularities and bumps, a much smoother ride. I actually upgraded to the cx500 rear wheel to an 18 inch wheel just to get these tires to fit. If you're going to push your older bike, and these tires will fit, the extra grip is worth it.

Can these tires be used with tubes?
A shopper on Dec 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I think the answer is yes. But check with AHRMA (American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association) racers or tire sellers with experience using these tires in Vintage GP classes that require spoke wheels (using tubes) instead of cast wheels. I've heard the results are very good. Have fun and good luck!
I have a 1977 bmw r100rs. I read that the 100/90 19 replaces 3.25 19 and 110/90 18 replaces 4.0 18. My question is... What is the actual inflated measurement of the tires? I'm wondering if I could fit the 120/90 18 on my rear. Thank you very much for your time.

BEST ANSWER: A friend used a different sleeve on the spindle of a R90/6 to move the 120/90 18 tire away from the drive shaft housing just a bit. He said he learned the hard way when he tried the larger tire and experienced rubbing which the other sleeve remedied. He ran the tire a little low on air pressure as a temporary fix. This was 10-15 years ago, and i don't remember anything else about it other than it was a BMW part.
The Classic Attack is not available in the 100/90 18in size for front wheels; what is the best match from Conti for the Classic Attack rear which is available in a 110/90 18in. A Road Attack 3 or the race tyre? Conti actually suggests using the race tyre but I think that's overkill for a 200kg+ bike that is ridden on the road. This is for a 1973 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport, and no, I won't change aspect ratios or sizes. thanks
A C on Nov 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't worry about overkill. I would go with whatever size best fits the rim. They're all good, but I've learned that DOT "race tires" work fine on the street. The issue is how well a tire works when cold as well as hot. Stay with DOT's in the proper size and I believe you'll be happy. You're on the right track not changing aspect ratios or sizes. Cheers, Mark (2016 Moto Guzzi V7 II)
