Good purchase
I never give review on items, but this product for the price is pretty incredible. Easy to install. I wanted something quick, easy and inexpensive. These were the ticket. I really wanted heated grips, but didn't want to go through the hassle etc etc. Maybe when I have some more money, who knows, these fit the bill pretty nicely...
These heated covers look good and get pretty warm too. I rarely ride below 40 degrees, but now I may a little more. I have only one 3 hour ride with these, but they sure made a difference. I actually had to switch them off because my hands were getting too hot... I'm thinking of maybe putting a resistor in-line to control the levels. $35 not a bad investment. I actually bought a set for my buddy. He likes them too...

Nice and toasty.
These were super easy to install. I spliced the power wires into a spare battery tender cable I had laying around, so they just plug right in. Easy to get on the grips, and easy to adjust if needed. For the price, these are tough to beat. They keep my hands warm in the cold weather.

One of the best heated grip values on the market
I found these grip covers to be a great answer to keeping my hands comfortable during winter riding in Northeast Oklahoma. They are easy to take off when not needed. The warming is focused on the central part of the pads, so proper placement is through trial and error. I did notice that one pad tends to heat quicker and hotter than the other. I'm assuming this is due to the construction and that the pads are in series. it isn't an issue in 40F degree weather.

Good value for what you get
First, as delivered, they are not really "removable". They are intended to be hardwired to the bike's electrical system, and a switch mounted. I suggest you toss the switch and instead connect them to a fused SAE pigtail wired to your battery. To do this you will need, in addition to what comes with the kit, an SAE connector and a male/female pair of bullet connectors to attach to the SAE connector. With this install I can easily transfer these grips between any of my bikes that don't have heated grips.

Build quality is fair, I expect that the connection between the lead wire and the grip will be the weak point, especially on the throttle side where that connection is subject to a lot of daily wiggling. We'll see how long it lasts.

Yes, they are warm. They're wired in series so the first grip (throttle, in my case) is apt to be a bit warmer.

Is the switch waterproof? There aren't really any details for this product as the video review actually points to a generic Harley grip video instead.

Do you need a separate harness for hooking this up to the battery?
yair b on Feb 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I ended up buying an "SAE" cable to connect the grips directly to my battery because the provided cables weren't long enough. I chose not to wire it through the ignition switch as recommended by the maker.
