My son wore it and had accident head first survived with helmet intact!
Son's head stuck under an Acura Integra.....I had to lift the bumper and pulled his head out. The Bell Revolver Evo stayed intact and the modular portion did not flip up and stayed shut! Thank God and Bell for protecting his head!

Unbearably Loud
Bought this helmet based on the reviews of this year and last years. They had stated it was a great helmet and the noise issues were resolved. If this is better than last years, I would hate to hear what that sounds like. Over 60 mph the sound is unbearable. I have pocket speakers in my helmet and at full volume, I cannot hear my music. I have an HJC BT is-max that I thought was loud but is probably half as loud as this (it doesn't even have the chin flap). With all vents close i feel air rushing in at my cheeks where the modular face flips down. there is probably 1 inch overhang, so i'm not sure where the air is coming in but I clearly feel it coming int he sides. If i hold my hands over the gap where the top comes down the sound goes away.

I ride upright on an FZ6R and tucking slightly helps, but this is supposed to be good for upright riding. Turning your head causes air to rush straight through the side of the helmet. This was likely a waste of $200.

Helmet saved my life
Bought one in 2014 and this Fall (2016) came off motorcycle at 115mph and this helmet saved my life! I am replacing it with another Bell Evo. I do wish that the helmet was quieter (If I cup my hands underneath helmet directly below ears the noise goes away). Visor really easy to get on/off.

Very nice modular at a reasonable price.
I've had a bilt Solar for the past several years and I liked it a lot but after a tumble off my seat onto the asphalt broke the chin bar latch and not liking the upgrades Bilt did to the new Solar. I decide to check out some other options and settled on my EVO Segment. Overall I'm very happy with it, fit and finish are excellent and it's extremely comfortable. There is plenty of room for more blue tooth Sena headset and ease of pulling liner pieces out is fantastic. My only complaint it that its a bit loud especially under and behind your ears. With my Bilt I rarely wore earplugs but with my EVO I do most of the time. I'm hoping Bell tweaks the helmet a bit to add padding ended the ears all the way to the neck. This will quiet it down quite a bit.

Great fit and looks
This helmet has it all. Nice fit, great looks and excellent protection. And being a segmented helmet, gives it more versatility. Highly recomended.

Good helmet but a little wide probably due to it being a modular.
Bell is a good helmet. I can only compare it to my AGV K3 which is actually more comfortable but only by a little. Revzilla has great reviews and service is quick. I would recommend them

Better Than the Original Revolver
I got this helmet as a warranty replacement for the original Revolver which had developed and issue with the construction coming apart after 3 years. Bell not only honored their 5 year warranty, they also sent me this segment helmet instead one of the same color at my request.

There are some improvements over the original Revolver like Anthony mentions and one that he didn't mention. Anthony didn't mention the improved magnefusion design for the strap keeper. The original design had the magnet placed into a hole at the end of the strap and two pieces of fabric were glued over it to keep it in place. I lost the magnet after a few days and had to tuck the strap end into my jacket collar from then on. The improved Magnafusion design has the magnet molded into the end of the strap and it has a pin on it that instantly finds the hole on the magnet on the D-ring. I don't have to try to locate anything, I just put the end of the strap near the D-ring and the two part mate by themselves. I'm going into the third year with this helmet and the magnet on the end still remains. All of Bell's helmets should have this feature! My Mag-9 doesn't and I wish it did.

I have a Sena headset and it' s easier to hear in the EVO helmet than the original Revolver due to reduced wind noise. I actually hear more of the outside world when I open the shield.

The shield on the EVO also seals better at the top than the the old Revolver but it doesn't defog as quickly. I think that's because of the chin curtain blocking updraft onto the visor. I bought the electric snow shield for that. I think the EVO has less airflow than original did but it's still my go to helmet for the wet and/or cold days. I still need a balaclava to keep my face warm though.

The fit across the top of my head remains the same but my chin touches the chin bar now unlike before.

I like the improvement on the sun visor too. The sun visor on the EVO doesn't come out at the top anymore and the spring return that raises the visor after I press the button is a nice feature. This helmet came with a light smoke visor which didn't seem dark enough on bright days or when I have to ride toward the sun so I replaced it with the dark smoke sun visor. My eyes have become sensitive to a lot of light after a long ride with my club. Sometimes I still have to wear a pair of shades in addition to the visor but maybe that's just me.

All in all, it's better than the original Revolver, has been more reliable than the Vega modular helmets I have owned, and is the quietest of all of them. I have never owned a Shoei or Shubert modular helmet so I can't say if it's as quiet or as good as those brands but I'm not able to afford those brands either. I would buy another EVO if I ever had to though.

Revolver -Value for Money
Purchased my Revolver Evo to replace my old Shoei full face. I wanted a helmet that would allow me a better field of vision and that had an integral sunshield. Price was right, and had read pretty good reviews, so here I am. And reviews were pretty much spot on.

Noiser - but, at the same time I got the helmet, I traded my CBR600RR for a CB1000R. So lack of real wind protection from the bike might explain part of the noise I hear.

Fit - very good. Used Rev's recommendations and it feels just as secure as the Shoei.

Price - compared to the equivalent Shoei, I got a great deal.

So, overall...I'm happy - except... Helmet should come with either a darker faceshield or sun shield. No real protection from sun and glare. Having read so many awful reviews about the difficulty of changing the sunshield, I purchased a dark smoke faceshield. And I'm happy with that. Except why am I paying an extra $40 for something I should have been able to specify up front. Or, design the sunshield so it can easily be changed - then offer an acceptably dark one. Oh, well, $140 is still a pretty good deal for a helmet of this quality.

Great helmet, magnetic strap keeper broke
I have gone on a coule short rides with the helmet, it's very comfortable and looks great, not to noisy
The flip down visor could go down a little further but it works good enough
Only real complaint is the magnetic strap keeper broke the first time I put the helmet on, kind of depressing to me but over all a great product
